Duncan Robinson Speaks With Media On Joining The Pistons
Yeah, just kind of walk us through last couple weeks. Obviously, a lot of moving parts, but just what what has your time with the team been like and overall reaction to the trade? Yeah, it’s been great. Um, you know, it’s been a it’s a really fun group, you know, to be able to come out here and have a little, you know, mini camp or whatever with practices and just being able to spend time around guys, getting meals, hanging out, uh, coming to games, supporting these guys. It’s been awesome. Um, you know, it’s a great blend of super ambitious young guys. um, you know, some guys that have been through it before as well. So, uh, yeah, I’m just excited to be a part of it for sure. It’s been a it’s been sort of a whirlwind, but it’s been a fun couple weeks. And you’re not new to Michigan, obviously. What’s that been like for you? Uh, it’s been good. I mean, I just spent a little bit of time, uh, you know, last week just coming in and getting all my medical stuff done. So, uh, but coming back, you know, to a version of home is is great. You know, I spent 4 years in Ann Arbor. Loved it. um spent some time coming into Detroit, you know, when I was there. So, uh I’m excited to be back for sure. Obviously, everybody knows that you are extremely good shooter, but what are some of the other intangibles about your game that you’ve been able to bring to to this team? Um, you know, I think first and foremost, you know, trying to to bring some leadership. Uh, you know, I’ve been a part of some really good teams. I played a lot of different roles. So, uh, just embracing, you know, whatever he’s asked for me as a as an older guy. um you know in terms of actually on the court, you know, playing the right way, getting other guys involved, uh you know, using, you know, how defense guards me to create opportunities for other guys. Um and just competing, you know, trying to move the needle to help us win. So, uh I’m excited. I mean, this group is super competitive, super ambitious. So, I’m excited for getting more into the schemes a little bit. Obviously manager have different skill sets and manage a bit at a different level, but some of the DHOs and slip screens slip slip screens who were running with him. How can you get through? Yeah, JD is uh he’s a special talent, man. Um and I feel like he’s even gotten bigger, stronger since I since the season when we played against him. Uh I mean, the the sky is the absolute limit in terms of his ability. So, you know, I’m I’m really excited to to play with him and uh you know, Stu as well. Just the way that they set screens, create opportunities for guys, and um both of them are lobb threats, you know, the opportunity to to get them get the ball back to them after, you know, hopefully drawing two. Uh you know, so their versatility is is special, you know, to to be able more dynamic with the ball in their hands as bigger players. So, I’m excited to grow that, you know, chemistry and uh it’ll be fun. What do you already have coming in with you? Oh, I mean, Caris and I are, you know, we’re really good friends in college and we’ve kept up that way, uh, you know, pretty much throughout our entire career. So, uh, I love Caris. You know, he’s an incredible player, obviously, but, uh, just one of the the best people I’ve I’ve ever been, you know, around in terms of a teammate. So, I’m excited to be back with him. Um, outside of competing against these guys, I didn’t really know any of the these guys too well, and they’ve been super welcoming. Uh, but it is nice to to have somebody, you know, joining me who will also be new, who I who I do know really well. So, that’ll be good. Speaking of, um, competing, what did you think about this team last year? Cuz every time you guys played, it always seemed like it went down to the white. Yeah, some crazy games last year, uh, you know, Heat versus Pistons. It felt like every single one had some sort of crazy finish. But I think that the thing that sticks out about this group is, uh, you know, their physicality, their toughness, and how hard they play. Uh, and honestly, how they share the ball. Um, and you know, that’s the type of system you want to play in. Those are the type of guys you want to be around. I mean, Kad’s obviously, you know, incredibly dynamic with the ball. Took a major jump last year, and you know, I’m sure he’s going to take a big one again this year. So, just I’m excited to be around somebody like that who is such a willing passer. Um, and and can also create and draw attention obviously for himself as well. There’s a lot to be said about uh heat culture. I guess compare the culture that you’re leaving, the culture that you’re joining. Yeah. Um, you know, Miami does a lot of things really well as an organization and I was a beneficiary of that for, you know, seven years. Um, you know, everything that I’ve seen so far with this organization is first class through and through. And, you know, the approach, the day-to-day approach, uh, you know, the way players are treated, the just the energy and the environment that that’s been sort of harvested and cultivated, you know, since starting with the front office through the coaching staff and onto the players, uh, is special. So, I’m excited to be a part of it, infuse everything I can into it, um, and also, you know, take a lot from these guys. You know, the same way I hope to, you know, help teach them in some capacity, I’m I’m I’m looking forward to learning from them a lot as well. All right.

๐ ๐๐ฝ Welcome backโผ๏ธ๐๐ฝ ๐
Welcome dunkyard โคyou
Why isn't he wearing Pistons gear?
Its amazing when others and i mean all others from announcers, coaches and players like Duncan talk about Jalen Duren its always skies the limit type praise yet some Pistons fan don't seem to get it.
Probably because he played too many minutes too young thus you dont get to fully appreciate what the finished product will look like but I've always known that Duren can be as good as he wants to be.
Welcome back to the D baby. Excited to see you bring your talents back to the state.
Hea bout to have a career year
