  1. Troy and Harrison need to be on here. AB, if we’re being honest, was better than TO.

  2. Don’t hate the list as a whole and can understand a lot of arguments for most of those. But Garrett is definitely not above Lamar or TJ

  3. No Troy is crazy.  AB isn’t a good person, but he was a damn good football player.  Leaving him off the list is crazy.  Myles Garrett has done literally nothing to merit him actually being on this list. Definitely not above TJ and Lamar.  Lamar has two MVPs, probably could’ve been 3, and TJ has better stats and accolades over the same length career.

  4. NFL invented bait engagement through utter incompetence and are still the best at it and that’s all I’m gonna say

  5. I still don’t understand the massive hard-on sports media has for Garrett. No doubt he’s very good, but idk how many years in a row TJ can eclipse him in every stat before he’s better.

  6. This is tangential but has anyone else noticed that the lardheads who make these rage bait lists oscillate on whether DE and EDGE are the same position or not? When was JJ Watt ever an Edge? He was a DE. I suspect it’s just so that when you point out that Myles Garrett has been statistically outperformed by TJ Watt almost every season the two have been in the league they say “well yeah but Myles is a DE and it’s a different position so it’s more impressive.” But if you say “TJ Watt has been the best EDGE in the NFL for almost a decade now” they say “Well actually MYLES is the best EDGE in the league” like which is it?

  7. Fuck having Garrett on this list. And most especially fuck having him above TJ who has every single stat is better for TJ than Garrett. Jesus Christ. Why do some of these guys want to suck his dick?

  8. Wow I’d honestly put Troy on this list over Watt. I can’t believe he’s not on this. Also Miles Garrett lmfao what a joke

  9. Switch mahomes and Peyton who spearheaded the change of making the nfl a pass first league

  10. I’m so fucking tired of the absolute slobberfest people do on Myles Garrets weiner. That dude is in no way shape or form above TJ or Polamalu. It’s not even a debate. I mean are we all taking crazy pills

  11. Greg knew the least amount of ball out of the 3 heroes and somehow he got the daily NFL network show

  12. Honestly feel like Larry Fitzgerald is a bigger snub than most Steelers. I think if they did a 50 person list we’d have a lot of guys in the next 25. AB, Big Ben, Troy, Faneca all make it into the next 25.

I’m actually fine with Ben being off of it, but Reed at 7 and no Troy at all. No Strong Safeties at all. Ogden might have been more important to the Ratbirds than Reed too.

Mahomes is not above Manning yet. and won’t be for a long time. JJ Watt belong but much closer to 25 than 6 just due to lack of longevitiy. It does look like with Revis / Kuechley, JJ they are valuing peak more than overall, but they you got guys like Peppers and Owens who should be be above guys like TJ and AB if we’re only talking about peak and not longevity.

Anyway it’s impossible to make a list like this that doesn’t piss off nearly every fan base so I’m not going to spend any emotional energy caring

  13. Swap Calvin Johnson with Aaron Rodgers and his one ring.

Ray Lewis should be lower. I’m not convinced he’s an all-timer if he’s not surrounded by the elite talent he played with that allowed him the space to make all those plays.

  14. The Garrett > TJ decision does kind of boggle the mind.

Figuring this list is built primarily off accolades with the absence of guys who were perennial AP-2s, there’s almost no metric by which Garrett should be ahead of TJ.

He has the same AP-1 nods with less seasons of DPOY-X, less sacks, QB hits, tackles, fumbles, TFLs, interceptions, PDs, etc..

There is no statistical or accolade-based category in which Garrett leads Watt except RAs – Rush attempts.

(if you understand stats, you know that’s not one Garrett would want to be leading here.)

  15. I’m gonna say it every where I see it. Travis kelce is overrated, Mahomes is definitely overrated. Especially when you are straight up calling him the second best player over the last 25 years. Kelce folds when things go bad. Mahomes can’t be the second best player of over the last 25 years when he folded that hard in the Super Bowl. 11 qbr with garbage time stats. Brees is a better qb than Mahomes.

  16. In a conversation nobody is having here – how the hell is Ladainian Tomlinson above Adrian Peterson?

Don’t get me wrong, I love LT, but Adrian’s resume is at least a head above LT’s. Had they both retired at 32 the gap gets even wider (I don’t think we should hold AP playing well past his prime against him on stuff like AY/G).

LT had a better nose for the end zone. Adrian crushes everywhere else.

  17. Okay last complaint I swear – How is Julius Peppers above TJ or Garrett??

I could get into the numbers here, but I don’t even really need to. DPOY winners vs. a guy who’s best accolade was Rookie of the Year and never broke DPOY-4.

Take any Julius Peppers season you want – it’s not better than TJ or Garrett’s third best season.

  18. They left off two (Dawkins, Troy) of the best three, maybe four (Lott) safeties of all time let alone the past twenty five years

  19. Troy was better than Ed Reed…and his impact on the game was unbelievable. At least a quarter of this list should be switched…imo.

  20. Antonio brown…I hate to say him but AB man…in his prime, actually his entire career- couldn’t be stopped. Big ben should be up there too

  21. Your list is suspect for sure…back to the drawing board…especially if its in order

  22. Non Steelers related: If I had to win one game, I’d probably pick Gronk as my TE. But if this is supposed to be over a career, there really aren’t many metrics where Gronk had a better career than Kelce has had. The gap between them is way too large here
