  1. What’s wild is defenses knew he was coming and still couldn’t stop him.

  2. Every time I watch this, I lose it at

I know you’re not looking at me to tackle this Sprinter van

  3. I always think of the playoff game where he fumbled against Indie. If Ben didn’t make the shoestring tackle and the most accurate (at the time) kicker missed I wonder how 36 would be viewed in Pgh.

  4. His commentary was funny haha Bus was the man. My Nonny passed back in November so we had to go through her things. Found some pics from Christmas 1997. Both of us wearing Bettis jerseys. I used to argue with my friends at school that he was the best. I was wrong but I argued

  5. The bus stops in the endzone so The Bus stops when its in the endzone. Simple stuff really

  6. Jerome Bettis was and still is my favorite football player of all time. He was my first jersey as a little girl, and I own three more Bettis’ jerseys today, which I wear with pride every game day. 20 years ago, I was 9 when he got to retire as a champion in Detroit, and I watched that all happen with my family with joy. Thank you for the ride, and the memories, Bettis.

  7. If you had a special machine that could tweak where someone’s centre of gravity was, you still wouldn’t be able to do a better job than Mr and Mrs Bus. Bloke was like a cannonball on legs

  8. Jerome mowing over Urlacher is so Iconic. One of my favorite Steelers moments of all time

  9. Ahh, good to see his famous 5 carry for 1 yard, 3 TD game against the Raiders made the highlights

  10. Jerome is an awesome player and an awesome person one of my favorites

  11. I got to meet him after XL in Disney World when he was with Hines as parade grand marshalls at the magic kingdom. He was easily wider than most standard refrigerators shoulder to shoulder.

I can’t imagine trying to tackle a man that size, running at full speed, with no intent to change his direction—which makes it that much more impressive that he was as agile as he was. Nothing that size should move that quickly, let alone be able to change direction that fast.
