It does feel like there is a little bit of a shift going on and that the Magic are going to be a little bit more of a destination, a a place that players want to be because look, the Magic have everything else that they could want, the great facility, the the good weather, all that, all that stuff. Now they have a team that is a serious contender. And that was very very clearly something that Tyus Jones was attracted to. Taius Jones said it very plainly that the talent level is through the roof on this team. He sees this team as a potential contender, as a team that’s going to compete at the highest level, which is something that at this point in his career he’s looking for. And he said that straight up like the reason he joined Phoenix last year on a minimum deal was to be on a competitive team. The reason he wants to join the Magic is because he believes they’re going to be a competitive team. He wants to help a team win a championship.
