  1. 先輩から椅子譲られても後輩は座れない

    大谷翔平も菊池雄星も完全に英語ペラペラですね

    英語での質問に日本語で答えてる

  2. Sho English and his accent are really really good. He understood 90% of the questions if not all of it. He’s just not confident about being able to give the most articulate answer in English

  3. That's wild how Shohei's English listening is better than his speaking. For me with Japanese, it's the opposite. And that's because when I'm with my Japanese friends, they're so eager to practice their English so I get very little listening practice. But I have to use Japanese sometimes when I know there's no way they're going to know the English for what I'm saying.

  4. どのオールスター前の質問動画を見ても、大谷は質問の英語を理解しているな。そのうち喋ってくれないかな。松田聖子がベラベラ英語を喋って以来の衝撃になるかも。

  5. Two of my most favorite pitchers 😊 Will Ireton is an awesome interpreter! I'm glad he's Shohei's translator 😊 but for Yoshinobu, oh my gosh, his interpreter is doing a lousy job!

  6. The whole chair thing at the beginning can be kinda funny/cute but I think it really put both Shohei and Yoshinobu in an awkward position. They should've planned better and gotten extra chairs for both of them or gone with no chairs from the start. Shohei isn't going to want to sit while a teammate is standing cuz that's how he is, and there's no way Yoshi would feel comfortable sitting while having his senpai stand, even if they insisted on it. That's just how Japanese culture works.

  7. Shohei understands English almost fluently, and he speaks pretty good already.
The reason he speaks Japanese is so that people back in Japan can understand his answers.

  8. Clumsy set up. Did this interview happen on the spur? Michael does that say anything about MLB network? No one controls bugs that is not what I'm referring to. The questions are mostly solid. Harold needs to suppress a laugh.
