Commentary from Vital Vegas on a (non-)update and some photos/footage from the Trop site. Looks like they've continued to push around dirt since the 'groundbreaking.'

  1. Those tall things are drill rigs for drilled foundations. Looks like 3 foundation rigs on the site.

  2. And now the stadium is at $2 billion. It was $1.75 billion last month. Just sell the damn team. Joe Lacob is waiting.

  3. If they are going to build on a parking lot anyway they could have built on the Coliseum site and they’d already be playing in the new stadium.

  4. Vital Vegas is entrenched into defending his position even though it’s clearly wrong.

Enough grading and foundation work has been completed that the footprint of the ballpark is clearly visible on-site.

Compare what’s been completed on the Tropicana site over the past few weeks to the dirt pushed around on an actually fake project (All-Net Arena) over years and it’s clear that the ballpark is moving forward and making real progress towards completion.

  5. Not a construction expert but it’s not unusual for the early phases of a project to look like just pushing a bunch of dirt around. Same thing happens in new housing developments.

  6. this is quickly approaching worst owner in all of sports…EVER?!

what a legacy this nepo baby is leaving for his father who actually built up the family name

  7. Yes this is hopium I know, and I know I’ve asked this question before. What happens if funding just doesn’t happen and FJF can’t pay for it? Do they force him to sell or… what happens if he refuses to sell?

  8. The Peralta Community College District needs money and might close Laney. I have a solution in mind…

  9. That’s not even on corner of the lot that the stadium is supposed to be built on!

  10. I will laugh to no end if they still end up being forced to go back to the Coliseum after all this 😂
