What If The Stars Never Moved To Dallas? 🤔

What if the Disney movie The Mighty Ducks had flopped? Back in 1992, Disney released the film about a rag tag group of Kiwi hockey players in Minnesota. Well, it turns out the success of that movie actually played a role in the stars moving to Dallas. Because the movie was wellreceived, the Walt Disney Company decided to approach the NHL about buying an expansion franchise, and the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim would be unveiled for the 199394 season. At the time, Minnesota Stars owner Norm Green was searching for a city to relocate his team. Since Disney got the Mighty Ducks, Anaheim was not an option, and Green eventually would move his team to Texas and become the Dallas Stars.
