Well guess he’s not going the ncaa route

This kid could be our Brad Marchand
Get this man in GR
This bear has grown wings
Does this mean he going to gr or possibly Detroit? He isn’t going NCAA and can’t go back to juniors right?
Nice
He can still go back to Everett. He’s only 18. He’s not AHL eligible yet.

My fiancée is Ojibway and from the same region as Bear. Pretty amazing for a lot of indigenous kids around Winnipeg to see him get drafted!

Me taking out my student loans with zero fucking clue what the documents say
Nice!
there’s actually some intrigue in whether first rounders sign their ELC right away now, since a lot more highly drafted kids are going to college programs. Great timing as well with the change to the NHL/CHL transfer agreement where teams can assign one player to the AHL when they wouldn’t have been eligible before. Bear can do one more year in the CHL and go to GR next year when that wouldn’t have been an option for him if he were one year older.
