[Charania] Three-time NBA All-Star Bradley Beal has agreed to a contract buyout with the Phoenix Suns and plans to join the Los Angeles Clippers on a two-year, $11 million deal with a player option after clearing waivers, Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports told ESPN.

Outside of Cousins, it seems we never win these sweepstakes, it’s usually a Lebron team, NY, Miami, or LA. Which 50% of the time is a blessing because there’s usually a reason a former star player is being given away for pennies.

Would prefer Melton (healthy) because of the versatile defense/better playmaking. Obviously Beal would’ve been nice because that’s a bucket getter in every sense of the word, and we all know the Dubs need offense. But it isn’t a signing to be dooming over.

It was plain obvious Bradley Beal would never come here, nor with our roster construction would we ever pursue him. It doesn’t bother me at all that we didn’t get him, it bothers me that yall are acting like it’s not super good value for the clippers. I know there’s a stigma but cmon guys, objectively Bradley Beal for 11 million 2 years is AMAZING. We just don’t have the depth to sign him for the luxury of it. If we weren’t so incomplete, Bradley Beal coming off of the bench for 5.5 million a year, you can’t tell me that’s not value. He’s not what we need but don’t gaslight yourself that for that value he’s not really nice to have.
