Phoenix Suns Roster Stinks. Pick Swapping Could Definitely Happen This Year.
July 16, 2025
Suns won only 36 games last year. Durant and Beal now replaced with Jalen Green & Dillon Brooks and have a young, rookie HC.
Only team I can confidently say they are better than in the West is the Utah Jazz

As long as Phoenix misses the playoffs our odds of picking in the top 4 increase
I actually think they’ve gotten better despite how crazy that is to say having lost Kevin Durant. Like their ceiling is reduced just because they don’t have true superstar talent outside of booker, but I think they’ve filled in the margins where they can potentially be a more effective unit overall
Imagine if they get a higher pick then us and then we swap 🤣 Matt Ishbia really saves us on this one
There were different podcasts saying that the Wiz with the vets intermixed with the young players they have could contend for a play in, and I just thought to myself “Why the FUCK would they want to risk that pick swap with Phoenix doubling their chances.?”
Phoenix is going to be legitimately awful, but the worst part for them is they really can’t do a thing about it so they’ll have to trot out Booker and a bunch of random dudes to try and actually win since they can’t really do shit. I said right from the get, they traded Durant, and I know Bookers loyal, but they should have moved him too and started over, and got some FRPs out to help their build.
I know how badly mismanaged this franchise has been historically but compared to the Phoenix Suns right now we look like the fucking Golden State Warriors.
What are the details on the swaps? If they land top 4, we swap? So we essentially have 2 chances of getting top 4 if both teams are bad?
Let’s just hope we keep our pick (I know we’ll be bad and tank but I’m worried bout the lottery)
I think there’s a decent chance. They’re better than the Jazz in the west, and possibly the Pelicans. I’d expect them to be better than the Wiz, Hornets, Nets. Who the hell knows with the Sixers. They probably won’t be good, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they’re a playoff team either. There’s always a team or two that has the season from hell too, with an unfortunate injury or two to key players.
