On one hand it’s VERY funny we didn’t sign Adam Frazier again and he’s back to being on the team, on the other poor Cam Devanney, getting called up and not used.

I can *kind of* see the reasoning behind this. They clearly don’t think that Devanney is ever going to actually make the roster and Frazier has been, fine as a player. .255 average and a .654 OPS, better then our other options if they’re trying to make a push for the post season.
I don’t get this at all. I’d rather try out Cam at the big league level than going with Frazier who isn’t even a replacement level player
He’s batting .255, that’s an improvement over half of the team. Good bench player for not much

The main thing for me is if we’re buyers at the deadline then this doesn’t help us short term, or if we’re sellers then this doesn’t help us long term. It just doesn’t make sense at all.
Just need to bring back Hampson and we will win the world series.

Frazier is a big league bat that can play multiple positions. Cam is a AAA player. Minor move, but any incremental improvement is a positive.
Rooker made the Royals look stupid, hope Devanney does the same… such a stupid ass trade..
We need to be sellers. We are under .500 at the all star break and do not have a team that can do anything in the playoffs.
As a casual pirates fan it’s interesting that no one seems to get why this happened or what it means

I don’t think it is possible to be more underwhelming than a fringe playoff team trading a career minor leaguer for a utility veteran who wouldn’t make the 26-man roster of half the teams in baseball. 🥱
