Royals acquiring Adam Frazier from the Pirates in a trade, Cam Devanney is the other side of the trade

  1. On one hand it’s VERY funny we didn’t sign Adam Frazier again and he’s back to being on the team, on the other poor Cam Devanney, getting called up and not used.

  2. I can *kind of* see the reasoning behind this. They clearly don’t think that Devanney is ever going to actually make the roster and Frazier has been, fine as a player. .255 average and a .654 OPS, better then our other options if they’re trying to make a push for the post season.

  3. I don’t get this at all. I’d rather try out Cam at the big league level than going with Frazier who isn’t even a replacement level player

  4. He’s batting .255, that’s an improvement over half of the team. Good bench player for not much

  5. Whats his contract situation look like? Because this just feel like taking a flyer on a guy who is bang average this year (Albeit much improved since May)

  6. I have feelings about this. However like most American adult males I don’t know how to express them appropriately. So anyway here’s a gif of pickle rick.

  7. Anne Roger’s confirmed the trade. “KC has felt it has needed another veteran bat bench for a while. Clubhouse loved Frazier last year. Now they’re reunited.”

    Vibes based signed lmao.

  8. Can’t wait to watch his already bad numbers instantly plunge when he puts on the uniform.

  9. The main thing for me is if we’re buyers at the deadline then this doesn’t help us short term, or if we’re sellers then this doesn’t help us long term. It just doesn’t make sense at all.

  10. Royals fans: we’re begging the FO to make some roster moves prior to the deadline!

    *monkey paw curls*

    JJP: k

  11. I wish this team would acquire someone for the bench that can pinch hit and give them some power, seems like that’s incredibly non existent for a Royals bench player

  12. God damn, another past his prime terminally mid guy to help contention? Joke move

  13. Frazier is a big league bat that can play multiple positions. Cam is a AAA player. Minor move, but any incremental improvement is a positive.

  14. Rooker made the Royals look stupid, hope Devanney does the same… such a stupid ass trade..

  15. We need to be sellers. We are under .500 at the all star break and do not have a team that can do anything in the playoffs.

  16. As a casual pirates fan it’s interesting that no one seems to get why this happened or what it means

Not that I expect us to ever get better anyways

  17. Last time Frazier was on the royals we made it to the postseason

Cam has never had a major league at bat

    Do your own math

  18. I don’t think it is possible to be more underwhelming than a fringe playoff team trading a career minor leaguer for a utility veteran who wouldn’t make the 26-man roster of half the teams in baseball. 🥱
