    Chad Misiorowski: here’s a legendary Pokémon 😎

  2. This is awesome. The overall shift in perspective on nerd culture has been nice to see. Suddenly, it’s cool to like anime and the type of people who’d bully you for liking something 10 years ago have Naruto wallpapers on their phones

  3. He’s for sure in on the current pokemon card craze.

I remember some NBA player casually browsing a card show. Wonder if he does the same in the offseason. Must be fun!

  4. Is Lugia still around in the newer games? I only played till silver so I don’t know. If not, I’m surprised this’ll be his Pokémon pick

  5. “Back in my day, you had to have at least 10 starts and a Charizard sewn in your jacket to be an All-Star. Maybe a Dragonite. But original 150 for sure. What’s next? You pitch half a game and show up a a Pichu in your pocket? What is this, Little League?”

    —some baseball curmudgeon, probably

  6. He was ~7 when HG/SS released.

I wonder if Soul Silver was his first Pokemon game, or maybe his second after platinum and his favorite from his childhood.

I’d totally re a Rayquaza suit because Emerald was my favorite childhood game (I didn’t even play Gen IV until I was an adult because I was content to just replay emerald and Lead Green for over a decade)

  7. I still have no clue why THE GUARDIAN OF THE SEA isn’t a water type.

Still cool though good for him. I always like when I see when two of my interests that I didn’t think would cross over, cross over.

  8. Brewers pitcher Jacob Misirowski confirmed having older brothers play Silver version on the GBA.

  9. To think an all star like Misiorowski has felt the horror of that damn Miltank like the rest of us
