very close to Diggs. How difficult has this been for him to go through another rehab? I think it’s extremely difficult for Diggs and you know I almost uh you know I actually had to fly out there to check on him cuz he was like bro you got to convince me. I think he was getting a little lonely but you know um I went out there to check on him man and you know the things I felt like he wasn’t doing I got on him and the things that he was doing I support him. I think you know that’s one person even when we went to work out I was like oh no you owe me some more sets like I want you to it’s your comeback player I wanted you to be come back player of the year and I think in his case I don’t think he reaches out to a lot of people a lot of people don’t understand him and that’s okay cuz I was like yo I understand you know where you at right now and I’m here for you know I don’t want nothing from you like a lot of people might want something from you I don’t want anything from you I’m here to strictly support you and be there for you throughout your time and so you know just throughout that process man, you know, just seeing where he’s at and just seeing his mentor. I think, you know, at the end, you know, he kind of wrote me a message for my birthday and and you know, he didn’t tell me in person, but he wrote me how much he appreciated that I came out there and uplifted him, man. So, you know, and he don’t really show a lot of emotion. It’s hard to get a more than a couple words out of him. So, just to get that message from it meant a lot for me just as a friend. So, you know, I’m happy that he’s in a bright spot. He’s doing better. And I’m just hoping he has the year that he wants to. It’s just now I’m telling him you got to kick it to overdrive now. If you didn’t check it out, go check the live stream out yesterday. It’s Trayvon Diggs and this whole quarterback situation. Um, is Trayvon Diggs going to be ready for the season opener? I put the clip in the beginning of the video so you can take a look at it if you haven’t seen it. If you had seen it, Brandon Lori um on Twitter posted it and it’s Diggs cutting. It’s the first time he’s seen him cut. And the optimist in me wants to say Diggs going to be ready because I haven’t seen him cut, you know, and to the untrained eye, he looks fine. He looks fine. He looks fast. He looks quick. Um I’m excited because I was thinking we wasn’t going to have digs for like 10, 12 weeks. Seeing that lets me know, okay, okay, we have a chance. We have a chance, you know, but I wanted y’all to see it just in case y’all didn’t so I can understand where he’s at. I think that Diggs is doing well. Um, you seen the videos of him going through the the the the running drills, you’ve seen him cut. Um, we started this whole situation out earlier in the year with people acting like, “Oh, snap. My fault. Turn the light up with with people acting like Diggs didn’t have a shot of playing this year. That’s where we started. That’s where we started. And now we’re sitting here contemplating, can he be ready for week one? Now, shout out to Fuss the King. Foot said he’s about two months away from trusting that knee. If right now, this is what made me get excited. Two months from trusting that knee right now. Today is what? July, what’s today? The 12th. Okay. August 12th, September 12th, two months from now is like week two, week oneish. I was like two months away from trusting that knee. And I trust foots cuz foots be watching film a lot. I trust foots and and and my brother DMV and Jay Tuck and and and watch and like people that watch film intently. two months. And if his expert thought process is two months, I trust it. Now, people want to say, “Ron, what do you think?” I I want him to be out there. We want I don’t want to run out there with seat belt. I’m sorry. First of all, Kayn Carson, he don’t deserve a nickname quite yet. He got to he got to earn that back. You know, he came in with a nickname, but he had earned it. And that’s why you don’t give yourself nicknames because it’s hard to live up to a nickname that you created. You need to earn that, you know. But Diggs, he looks good to me and he’s doing he has something that he hadn’t had earlier in his career. Diggs came in, we knew he’s his pedigree. We knew he was decent, but he ain’t have no pressure. Then he goes and gets all those interceptions, becomes the interception king of the NFL. Basically gets a whole lot of hate and then he gets hurt and he kind of out of sight, out of mind. And people don’t even hate on him anymore. They don’t bring him up. We talk about the Cowboys, they even bring up overshow and he hurt. They don’t bring up diggs at all. It’s almost like he now on the team anymore. That chip, that hunger, that training with a anger, with the point of view is the difference. That’s the nuance that people won’t bring up. People will bring up a lot of things about Diggs. um that he he he allows a lot of yards and he doesn’t play in phase and he’s always going for the interception but he doesn’t play good cornerback and all this extra stuff that I don’t really subscribe to but at the end of the day when he was healthy people was afraid to throw to him is afraid to throw to him now I still want to go get Gilmore I would love to bring Diggs back like week four or five rotate him in not have to lean on him that’s why Gilmore would be perfect tell me this wouldn’t be a perfect marriage D come back, he can play, but you don’t have to lean on him. Maybe he comes back and he realiz I need a couple more weeks or something like that. I don’t know. That’s why Stefan Gilmore is perfect. But back to Trayvon Diggs. I got faith in him. I’mma stand out on the ledge. I’mma stand on a limb. I’mma stand on business. I trust Trayvon Diggs. I think D’s going to come back and be a monster because and maybe he might be might not be with the Cowboys for good. Maybe he goes on and has a career somewhere else, but Diggs ain’t done. A ACL don’t ruin your career. And I know they said it’s a whole cartilage thing where it’s not generating and he doesn’t have any cart cartilage left and that’s what that’s the big injury. That’s what the other surgery is about. I think Dave’s going to be fine. I think going to be fine. I think him and his brother Stefon, the league trying to get rid of them. I think Stefon Digs is going to have a good year and and for the Patriots, I ain’t saying he going to be the best receiver in the league. I think he’s going to reestablish himself as one of the better receivers. I’m not ready to give up on him. Not why not Diggs. Diggs is young, too. If he had this injury injury at 29, I would be done. Diggs is a young player. He still got juice left. It ain’t over. Y’all think it’s over? No. I think that I really do think that Trayvon Diggs when given a chance and he got another rookie. This is the thing. This is the thing I said yesterday. Every room for the Cowboys has people in it that’s pushing other people. I think Trayvon Diggs 100%. With Siobhan Revel pushing him and then you got Kyle Elim pushing him. Yeah, I said it. Kaire. It’s not only the chip of the fans giving up on you. It’s the fact that you’re like, “Hold on, there’s some good corners in this room.” Just good. Not great. But Revel more than Elum, I need to get back out there. Terron Bland, Elim. I know our quarterback room is unproven. I’m keep beating the chair for Gilly, but like I said, all of the situation right now, Diggs is like, I gotta I got to come back and reestablish who I am and why I am who I am. That’s it.
