WHO WILL HAVE MORE POINTS? CONNOR BEDARD, MACKLIN CELEBRINI OR LOGAN COOLEY

The NHL has three budding superstars who already in their first year two in the league have proven they have the ability to not only take over but win a game for their team. So today we’re asking the big question. Who’s going to score more points this upcoming season? Connor Baddard, Logan Culie, or Mlin Cbrrini? Hey everybody, welcome in to Clearing the Benches, your one-stop shop for hockey content. If you go ahead and hit your subscription button right now, you’ll be sure to be in on all of our future videos. Every night when you turn on the NHL highlights, you see some young kid 19, 20, 21 years old doing something crazy against grown men. Maybe it’s the Michigan or, you know, had the spinama goal a couple of years ago or maybe it’s a guy who can shoot the puck through his legs and then bury it top shelf on a goalender. Those are all very, very highly skilled feats. And yet, you’re starting to see that more and more often in the NHL. All three of these players have got exceptional skill. And they are capable of pretty much doing anything in the NHL. The sky is the limit for these kids and their future. First off, let’s take a look at Chicago Blackhawks, Connor Baddard. First of all, happy birthday to him. He’s going to be 20 tomorrow. So, so far everything we’ve seen in Connor Badard’s career has been from a teenager. Think back to when you were a teenager. Could you do what this kid was doing? I know for sure I could not do it. In Bedard’s career at 150 games, he’s already got 128 points. Last year, he had 67 points and he played in all 82 games. When I look at Bedard and I look at the Chicago Blackhawks roster, the big problem I see is that they have got eight guys listed as center on the roster. Bedar, Jason Dickinson, Ryan Donado, they just signed Ryan Green, Sam Laferdy, Oliver Moore, Frank Dazar, and Tavu Terrainan are all listed as center on their NHL roster. That means that if guys are going to be playing with Baddard, somebody’s going to have to play out of position. And I don’t think it’s going to be Bard unless, you know, they think it’s going to be to his strength to switch him off with somebody. And maybe you’re going to have, you know, another high-f flyer like Frank Nazar on the power play with him. But again, kids are going to be forced to play out of position on the Blackhawks. Another big note, Anton Frondell just signed his ELC. I think that means if he has a good training camp, he’s staying and he’s going to make the Blackhawks roster. They want to see what they’ve got with this kid right away. Reports are he fits in and you know, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be big uh problem for him to make the jump to the NHL. So, I would say there’s better than a 50/50 chance that he is going to stay. Otherwise, I think they would have, you know, they wouldn’t assign him to the ELC. You don’t want to burn a year by sending a guy down to Rockford or back to Sweden. When I look at the projected lines for the Blackhawks, uh let’s say Fondell does make the team, I just see that they would have to put him out there with Bard and Ryan Donado. Just try them, you know, with guys and just try him a couple of shifts with each guy, maybe a period, and then you change it up and you see if you have more or less success with another combination. Oliver Moore is a speedster and for sure I would think that Baddard would love playing with a kid like Moore. Tabu Terrainan, uh, Ilia Mcoff. Those guys know how to put the puck in the back of the net. Talk about a guy who knows how to score. They’ve got a prospect. Nick Lardis. Wow. When you see what this kid does at the NHL in a couple of years, you’re going to really see Baddard shine then. And also they’ve got another two-way guy in Sasha Boy there. Uh I think if either one of those two kids were to make the roster this year, I would think that Bedard is going to have an excellent excellent year. So far when I look at his stats, the only thing that jumps out at me is his minus. I think he’s like a minus 80 in his first two years. He’s got to get on the other side of the plus minus in my opinion. When I think about what he could do this upcoming season, I’m gonna pencil Connor Baddard in for about a 13point improvement over last year. And I’m going to say he hits the 80 point mark in the 202526 season. Next up on our list is Mlin Celrainy who just turned 19 years old. So again, you’re watching a teenager right now performing all of these awesome feats against grown men. Last year in 70 games, he had 25 goals, 38 assists for 63 points. Um he’s 6 foot 190 lbs. You know, obviously because of his dad, he knows how to work out. Celebrini is going to hit the 200 pound mark pretty soon. And when he does, he’s going to be a horse out there. When you look at what San Jose’s got in the talent department offensively, Michael Misa was just taken second overall. Let’s just say he has a great training camp and they say, “Let’s keep you at the big club.” And Mike Greer says, “Let’s just go for it.” like you know pretty much they did with celebrating and with Smith. I know that Smith at the year college, but again, I think a guy like Misep, considering he had the exceptional status way back in the day, he’s used to playing against guys much older than him. When you look at this lineup to go along with Celibbrini, you got Will Smith, Misa, Tyler Tofoley, William Ecklan. They just bought in Jeff Skinner. If Skinner can blow some dust off his goalcoring stick, he might be good for 30 goals. Philip Kuresev uh the kid from Chicago he could be good for 20 goals this year but when I look at Smith Misa Tofoley Ecklland Skinner you know all of those guys are capable of scoring 30 goals and if they’re playing out there with Celibbrini and San Jose opens it up this year they kind of say to these kids hey this is going to be a learning year we know we’re not making the playoffs let’s try to play as smart as we can but let’s open it up a a little bit more and put a little bit more fear in the defensive cores of the other teams around the league. Show that speed, show that crazy craftiness, and get the defense backing off. I really think that San Jose San Jose is going to take a good jump this year. I think um all of these kids have had a little chance to marinate. you know, other guys like Colin Graph, Musty, you know, you got Sam Dickinson, you got Casper Holton, and um if any of those kids even get a sniff and they have a good month or two, I think a guy like Celibbrini is going to benefit from that. I think his regular linemates this year obviously are going to be Will Smith and Tyler Tofoley. And at year’s end, when I think about what Mlin Celibbrini could do, I’m going to pencil him in for 35 goals, 50 assists, 85 points in this upcoming season. And that would put him at over a point a game. And that’s really what you’re looking for when you’re getting to these superstar players. you want to see them be able to, you know, hit that 85 point mark early in their career so then after that they can really really grow offensively. So I’m going to come in again with 85 points for Mlin Celbrini. And then finally on our list I’ve got Logan Kulie who is just 21 years old playing for the Utah Mammoth and last season he had 65 points playing in 75 games. When you look at what Kulie is surrounded with offensive talent-wise, people have got to wake up and take a look at Utah this year. They are going to score a lot of goals, and I mean a lot of goals this year. I think they’re going to be in the top three or four in goals this year in the NHL. And let’s look at some of the guys that Coolie’s going to be playing with either as a linemate or on the power play. We’re talking about Dylan Gunther. Gunther to me, he could score 50 goals this year. That guy could be a 60- 70 goal scorer in his NHL future. And then you’ve got Keller. He just, you know, he’s starting to prove now he’s 85 90. I think he could be as many as a hundred points this upcoming season. They just traded for JJ Purka. We all saw what that kid did in Buffalo and he didn’t have much around him and now he’s going to have all these other guys that are very offensively gifted. And then you look at them on the back end. They’ve got three guys there in Sergachev and now Nate Schmidt. All can skate very very fluidly. All are very confident with the puck on their stick and all know how to jump into the play offensively. When I see where Koulie is going to get big time help this year, recently extended Jack McBain. I think McBain is going to explode on the scene in the NHL this year in terms of his breakout year. McBain could score as many as 30 goals this season in my opinion. He’s going to be a guy they’re going to use on the power play. And they’ve also got other big guys like Lawson Krauss they can use on the power play. They’re going to put those guys out in front of opposing goalenders. And then they’re going to tell guys like Gunther Keller, do your thing. They know they’ve got the skills that if a goalie’s only got, you know, a 40% chance at seeing the shot, these are the guys that could do it. you know, they’re going to put it in the back of the net again because of all the talent that is surrounding Kulie and because of how good Kulie is. You know, he’s a little bit uh older than these other two players we just talked about. But this year, I think Koulie hits some milestones. I think uh Koulie is going to hit 40 goals. I think he’s going to hit 50 assists and he is going to hit 90 points. If Logan Culie, Keller, Gunther, if they all scored a 100red points this year, it would not surprise me because they are just loaded offensively. And now these kids have been around each other enough. They know how to play, you know, on the ice as a as a unit. They can go up, they can come back, and they’re never really going to be that far out of play from each other as far as, you know, a nice little pass that could set up a one-timer goes. So this year I’m going to have Logan Kulie down for 90 points. And again we had Mlin Celibbrini coming in at 85 points and Connor Bedard coming in at 80 points. So that’s going to do it for today’s video. We wanted to talk about the these three young superstars and maybe what they could do this season.
