Carter Bryant closed out his 2025 NBA Summer League campaign with a strong showing in the San Antonio Spurs matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. In 23 minutes of action, the rookie forward posted 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two blocks, shooting an efficient six of nine from the field, including four of six from beyond the ark. It was his most efficient offensive performance of the summer and a glimpse of the upside that led the Spurs to select him 14th overall in the 2025 NBA draft. Bryant’s smooth outside shooting and improved shot selection stood out, particularly in catch-oot situations. His confidence looked higher than in previous outings as he played decisively on both ends. Though he committed four turnovers, his playmaking instincts and willingness to attack closeouts were encouraging signs for his development. Defensively, Bryant used his length well, contesting shots at the rim and showing improved positioning. After starting just five games as a freshman at Arizona and averaging 6.5 points per game in a limited role on a deep and experienced roster, Bryant used summer league to reintroduce himself as a legitimate NBA caliber wing. While his scoring numbers fluctuated throughout the week, this performance against Charlotte served as a reminder of his potential as a floor spacer with defensive versatility. With the Spurs continuing to build around Victor Wangima, Bryant’s ability to stretch the floor, guard multiple positions, and make quick decisions on offense could carve him a role sooner than expected. 1. Driving mid-range pull-ups, driving to the rim, pull-up deep three pointers; driving with wrap-around pass for assist. That looks like much more than 3 and D skills. Complete players have those skills. And this is just the beginning of Carter's NBA development.

  2. CB had very low usage in college. If he works his butt out, the Spurs will turn him to at least a very solid starter. The shot is there. The physicality is there. The thing he must really improve upon imho are his handles. But as long as he stays a dawg on D, the Spurs will find ways to put him in court.

  3. How disrespectful to your audience you should be to put AI voiceover in a 2 minute video? And you probably also expect people to subscribe to your channel…

  4. His jumpshot mechanics look very good – hope it can make it easier for him to adjust to NBA distance and speed. Other than that I'm a tad concerned by the high turnover rate. Of course it's only summer league but this number is something you'd expect from a primary ball handler, not from an off-ball 3 and D wing
