Tennessee Titans Fan in SHOCK Over Cam Ward Prediction on Good Morning Football

Cam Ward, Offensive Rookie of the Year. Are you buying it? Cam Ward, Offensive Rookie of the Year. Are you buying it? Well, one host on Good Morning Football is Brian. Okay, who’s buying? It’s Manteo. So, let’s talk about it next on Titan Upload. So, if you’ve been paying attention to the channel, you know the disrespect issue uh is one of our main flavors of the month. So, usually with the Tennessee Titans, it’s disrespect. It’s not getting the amount of attention that you might somewhat deserve. And if you’re drafted number one overall, you should be getting a decent amount, especially through the national media, at least at times. As I mentioned previously with Fathead, like their advertisement for the rookies, Cam Ward hardly even fits the football that Jackson Dart’s holding. So, yeah, that’s an issue. But there’s some good news around the horizon. Offensive Rookie of the Year for Cam Ward. That sounds pretty good. Currently, Cam Ward’s in second place. He’s plus 50 shy of Ashton Genty. Otherwise, he’s got a nice little gap. The next closest, Travis Hunter of the Jacksonville Jaguars at plus 900. Cam Ward is plus 300. Gives you two reasons. Let’s hear the first reason. You need to have guys that you’re going to throw the ball to. He has really good guys. Guys that are underappreciated in my opinion with Kelvin really, Tyler Lockett, Trayon Burks, Chigga Conquo. These are guys that can produce for you. Now, what I like Calvin Ridley, I actually love that. I think Calvin Ridley is going to be a stud this year. I’ve been telling you to take him in fantasy football for a long time here and I still think you should. And he’s a guy who’s coming off a thousand yard season. So, and his quarterback was Will Leves who liked to throw it to the other team most of the time. Well, maybe that to be fact check, but it seemed like it as a fan watching the games. He threw it to the other team and they scored touchdowns a lot. And it started at week one and it didn’t end. It kept going and going and going and going like the Energizer Bunny and it just never stopped until he had to be benched and then we threw in Mason Rudolph and then I’m not even going to go down that disaster. But the first reason breaking down the wide receiver core, I mean at times I don’t know if this is a strength right now, but at least Calvin Ridley would presume to be a pretty solid number one option for Cam Ward. Tyler Lockett, I know he’s older, but I think we can at least count on him. I think he’s going to produce a little bit better than Tyler Boyd did last year. I don’t know if that’s saying a whole lot, but it’s better than nothing. But then we kind I get lost. I don’t know about you, but I get lost when you bring up trailing Burks as being as accountable you can count on. It’s going to produce. Dude, no. And I get it. Mano gets a pass because he was a great linebacker obviously with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and he went to the Chargers and whatever, but he doesn’t probably have a lot of background when it comes to trailing Burks. Let’s just be honest. And he probably didn’t do a whole lot of research because none of these national guys do research when it comes to Tennessee Titans. At least it seems like it. He’s just not countable. You can’t count on the guy. Point number two. This one sounds great, but I’m going to kind of tell you why I think it’s a little bit of a stretch. Let’s hear what he has to say on reason number two why Cam Ward is going to win offensive rookie of the year. So, when you have a a a coach like Brian Callahan and what he can do for the quarterback position, not only as a coordinator, a head coach, but also as a quarterback coach, you’re ready for football and you’re ready for the season to start, which is less than a week away. Make sure you tighten up that like button and uh hit that subscribe button. So, point number two, Brian Callahan. He didn’t say Bill Callahan, but he said Brian Callahan. So, let’s break that down. I don’t think anybody’s going to argue that Brian Callahan before he took the Tennessee Titans job, we’d all say he was qualified. He’s had a great history of working with quarterbacks. The one I love the most is Derek Carr because we used to have an offensive coordinator that also worked great with Derek Carr and Todd Downing and then he came here and was a disaster. But then again, Oakland Raiders at the time, fans, right, Oakland Raider fans at the time said, ā€œThis guy is awful. He’s a train wreck. Basically burned the Raiders to the ground. And we were like, ā€œOh, well, you know, he’s going to be fine with the Titans.ā€ And yeah, it wasn’t. And then he moved to the Jets and that became a disaster. So whatever. Todd Downey, tighten up, buddy. But the point is, I do like the Derek Carr one because I don’t know if everybody’s got a lot out of Derek Carr. Some have definitely Derek Carr, I know he just retired or whatever, but you know, Derek Carr is a pretty good quarterback. Joe Burrow is topped the list because we all know Joe Burrow’s a stud and I don’t know if it had anything connected to Brian Callahan. But according to Bengal fans, they pretty much like Brian Callahan. They thought he did a good job. And from what everything I’ve read and did research on, it seems like Brian Callahan was a big portion of why the Bengals brought in some of this LSU stuff into the Bengals offense. So, great job, Brian Callahan. But then he became head coach. And I think this is where we all take a step back and we caution, right? We all caution because last year did not go well. And you could say, ā€œHey, it’s a one-year thing. You give him a pass, he’ll be fine.ā€ You could blame it on Will Levis. Totally understandable. I mean, that guy again was a disaster. But he wasn’t a disaster from the first game when he played the Falcons and threw four touchdowns. But going back to Brian Callahan, there’s two things that I’m cautious on. Number one, obviously I didn’t see any growth last year at all with Will Levis, and I actually saw more frustration than anything. And I get it, they beat the Texans, but there was some plays that I think Will Levis got a lot of credit for that just were brutally lucky. But the one that’s really, I think, overlooked is people just think Mason Rudolph sucks. I’m going to go ahead and say it. People think Mason Rudolph sucks. And I think at the time when he was brought over from the Steelers, like Steeler fans told me he was really good. And I do buy into what fans tell me because honestly a lot of times what fans tell me from other teams is right. They’ve been right with Kenneth Murray Jr. Charger fans. Eagle fans were right with Andre Dillard. Those are just two examples of to be cautious with. Now Steeler fans say, ā€œHey, you know, you got this left tackle dude. I’m not so sure that’s going to work out for you and we think you severely overpaid, but we’ll put that one to the side as well.ā€ But I do go back to looking at Mason Rudolph because Mason Rudolph got really bad. Like he was awful. But throughout the year, he was making some of the same mistakes Will was making. That’s a concern. And here’s what even makes it worse is after the year where we saw Mason Rudolph, and I’m going to go ahead and say it again. It like he sucked. He was terrible. He was awful. Who signed him back on the football team? And they didn’t even have a lot of quarterback options at the time. They didn’t have Aaron Rogers. I think Mason Rudolph is pretty much the only quarterback on the roster at the point and that was the Pittsburgh Steelers. So, the Pittsburgh Steelers told you, ā€œHey, we like this guy. He left. We liked him so much we brought him back and we didn’t even have a whole lot of quarterback options, we weren’t even sure we were going to take Aaron Rod.ā€ That should be a light bulb experience, a light bulb moment for everyone. I agree with Mantail a lot. I I do think Kalvin Ridley is going to be a big plus for him. I don’t know about a conqu though. I mean that that’s something I think can be debated and we’re going to see we’re going to need to see more growth from him for sure this year and honestly this probably his last year to make some noise otherwise he’ll be out of town. But other than that maybe you know Tyler Lockett even though he’s getting a little older like Cam doesn’t have a lot of guys he can rely on other than these rookies that he brought in. And that’s one of the things that I think all of us can agree on. We want to see one of these guys become a stud. I don’t care if it’s Xavier Restrele. I don’t care if it’s DK and I don’t care if it’s I maner. Honestly, I don’t care which of the three. So, I am hopeful. So, let me know in the comment. You intrigued? You excited about this? Does Manito move the needle at all? For any of you that are still kind of doubting if you’re going to fully buy into Cam Ward and how Cam Ward’s going to look. So, again, training camp are out ready to start. Less than a week away. I’m pumped. You’re pumped. We’re all excited. So, tighten up that like button on the way out of here and hit that subscribe button again for all the latest Titans content and reactions. So, until next time, take care and tighten up.
