Charlotte Hornets TRADE Grant Williams To The Boston Celtics? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the Charlotte Hornets be trading away Grant Williams to the Boston Celtics this 2025 NBA offseason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Boston Celtics receiving Grant Williams and the Charlotte Hornets receiving Sam Hower, Josh Man, and a 2032 second round draft pick. So, yeah, this would actually be a pretty cool story for the Celtics and their fan base. uh getting back Grant Williams who actually was a pretty fun player to watch and a pretty solid player uh to watch to start his NBA career off. I would actually say at this point he probably had some really good seasons, you know, as a bench player in Boston. Had a bit more of an increased role uh when he went to Dallas as well as Charlotte, but if he’s able to come uh back to the Celtics team, it’d be a really cool full circle moment for the Celtics uh at the end of the day. So, I think that he actually fits this team pretty well. Uh he can come off the bench, provide some good minutes, be a really solid player. um the Celtics fans in the organ in the organization know him pretty well. So that’s good to have some familiarity there. Now they would be getting rid of some of their depth here with uh Sam Hower Manat and a second round draft pick. So for the Celtics next year who are retooling a little bit I would say while Tatum is on the shelf with his injury going after familiar faces and going after players that can kind of be a good you know player off the bench. Like keep in mind as well he’s not even that old. Like he’s been in the NBA for what like six, seven years now but he’s not even that old. I think he’s only what 27 years old I think uh Grant Williams is if I’m not mistaken. So a pretty solid player. They know him pretty well. Um this would be a cool full circle moment. Now I think last year injuries of course were a concern for him. I believe he tore his ACL if I’m not mistaken. So a bit of a questionable thing there in regards to how you can uh really get him back to his former self. But it’s a risk I’m willing to take. The upside is definitely there. Uh and I think that if for the Celtics team next year, why not kind of take a shot in the dark a little bit here? take a gamble and if it works out, great. If it doesn’t, well, you figure it out later on. The asking price, relatively speaking, isn’t that crazy. So, if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I’m going to go with the Boston Celtics because of the upside here. But as always, leave your thoughts.
