“Originally a junior college center fielder with standout athleticism—reportedly running a 6.7-second 60—Zeigler transitioned to pitching and quickly became the anchor of an LSU Shreveport team that ran the table in 2025. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound righthander put together a dominant season, posting a 1.76 ERA with 107 strikeouts to 25 walks across 87 innings. Zeigler operates in the 91–93 mph range and has touched 96, pairing his fastball with a low-80s slider that has proven to be a legitimate swing-and-miss weapon and drew a 51% whiff rate and 41% chase rate. His athleticism translates well to the mound, where he stays around the zone and maintains his stuff deep into outings. While his two-pitch mix and NAIA background suggest a likely future in relief, Zeigler’s late conversion and untapped potential make him one of the more intriguing upside plays in this year’s undrafted class.” – BA
