Dallas Cowboys fans biggest fear confirmed by top NFL Analyst!

I hate to say it, but he right. [Music] What’s good people? It’s your boy Mr. Rome Cowboys fan talk right back like I never left. What’s going on with y’all man? Happy Monday. I come to y’all today with a excellent article, an excellent um analysis by a gentleman named Bill Barnwwell. And Bill Barnwwell is one of the rare people in the I can’t call him content creator reporter space, analyst space. Um he’s one of ESPN’s high tiered NFL analysts that is nonbias. He reminds me of like Mina Kimes. He doesn’t release stories with an angle to try to get clicks. He’s not a like a TV personality. He is just someone that numbers and analysis. nothing like with a u underlying agenda or narrative he’s trying to push. So when I read read his articles, I I take them seriously. I don’t take them as like, “Oh, he’s just a Cowboys hater,” which is a lot of people. A lot of people. Um no, Bill, when I was reading this article, the thing that stood out to me is that, you know, I agree with a lot of it. I did. And this one I agree with, too. um the thing that he highlighted the most. I’ll read some of it and shout out to Cowboys Wire. Um they went and posted it. Unless you want to buy that ESPN membership, you ain’t getting this. So, shout out to Cowboys Wire. I appreciate them. Um the article reads, um, and who else who posted this from Cowboys Wire? Um Angel Torres. Shout out to Angel Torres. So, I can just give people their credit where it’s due cuz this isn’t this isn’t from Rome. I don’t mind giving out the credit. um he he he writes in an article basically the additions of George Pick and certainly helped the offense that had been held together by CD Lamb. So basically in 2023 when we had um Tony Pard and and stuff like that our offense and and before this is two three year two years ago um Brandon Cooks. So he had a little bit more cash in the league. He was literally more of a legitimized wide receiver too at the time. He was he was getting a little older. I think Cooks was at the time was like 29. So it was like, okay, in the back half, but um he might still have some juice cuz still run. He can still run. But um his biggest problem was his stature. He’s a little bit shorter and that’s maybe why he’s been traded around the league so much. But we was ranked seventh in weapons, offensive weapons in the league. Um, according to Bill Barwell, not PFF or whatever. Everybody got their own rankings. And I can respect that, you know. Um, that year, no one showed up in the playoffs before someone jumps in here like, “Yo, so what happened that we just did not show up?” Y’all saw what happened in the Packers game. We was balling out throughout the regular season. We had our moments of bad fortune, but in the playoffs, no one showed up. Not just Dak. Dak didn’t show up. CD didn’t show up. You know what I’m saying? A lot of people didn’t show up in that game, especially, but the defense, too. Coaching, it was just bad all around. So, this isn’t about pointing the finger in that game. Um, it’s just about acknowledging that although we did have the legitimate weapons, it was a complete failure. No excuses. No excuses. Um, then in 2024, we dropped down to 18th because we really we went with like Rico D at running back. Um, Cooks was a year older, but you know, the room wasn’t fleshed out. We was running like Jaylen Brooks out there and Jaylen Tobert out there and it just wasn’t it wasn’t what we wanted it to be. That’s the best way to put it. You know what I’m saying? Offensive skills really got exposed. U Ferguson regressed. It was a bad year. Um, so this year, let’s get to this year. Let’s talk about this year and why this stood out to me. Um he said last season was a step backwards for CD Lamb. But it seems reasonable to chalk up um some of this decline at Dak Prescott’s injuries even in the felt even though it felt like a down year before a shoulder injury led the Cowboys to wave the white flag. He ranked 17th among wide receivers in yards per route. Working so soft or so often out of the slot he benefits from having a quarterback with elite accuracy Prescott and willingness to put the ball into tight spaces like Prescott. He might be a little more susceptible to a change under center than Jefferson or Jard Chase would, which represents a high a very tiny gap at the top of the wide receiver food chain. Right? He talking about CD Lamb. Um, and basically just saying that CD Lamb, although he’s the best weapon, he needed some help. He needed some help, y’all. That’s it. That’s the thing that stands out. Um, but give me give me give me a second. Um, I wanted to focus on give me one second. I’m looking through the article. I wanted to focus on the fact that Barnwwell points out that although the Cowboys have loaded back up with with with George Pickins and it’s got us to 11th and he said it’s mainly because it’s mainly because of the wide receiver group. Yes, our wide receiver room one move made it a strong group. CD Lamb, George Pickkins, now you have Jonathan Mingo at three, you have Tolbert at three, you can have Tan Holden. like we we have a a a a log jam of receivers that can get in there, but he highlights running back. And this is where it gets not fun to talk about. We would probably be in the top five if we took running back seriously. Top five, literally. Cuz the teams that they’re mentioning in the top five, that’s the difference. They had the running back groups like the Ravens and the Eagles, you know what I’m saying? the 49ers because Christian McCaffrey Christian McCaffrey is healthy. They’re push propelled forward by the running back. Some teams have both. If we just had a running back because right now we’re running out there with unknowns. Unknowns. They were known years past but unknowns now. Javvante Williams is the injury has it taken his career? That’s the question, right? And then you have Miles Sanders. Was he really just not utilized in Carolina or is he washed up? I have to not even I only know I want to cuz I do want to. I want him to be good because we need him to be good. But me wanting and needing something doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. I can want Miles Sanders to be good all we want. He really might be washed and then we’re we’re we’re we’re asked out because Jaydon Blue, that’s not fair. That’s not fair. Third round rookie be a all world allp pro. That’s not fair. So right now, seriously, what we need is we need someone from that group to step up cuz that is the line of demarcation. He even includes Jake Ferguson as a positive. He’s Jake Ferguson had a concussion and a knee injury last year um to sideline him a little bit. He’s assuming that he’s going to come back good. So that means we got a solid tight end, top 15 tight end, right? We have a top tier receiving core in my eyes. You can say um they’re not good. They’re at least top 10. It’s hard to argue outside of that. So you got that, you got top 10 receiver, you got a top 15 tight end, but the running back group is literally like bottom of the NFL because you just don’t know if somebody ascends from that group, then we will be top 10 in in in in weapons. But right now, you got to put us at he put us at 11th. I understand this might want to put us towards the middle, and it’s literally because the running back room is swinging the pendulum so far away. It’s it’s messed up. is really messed up. He highlights he’s just saying like he doesn’t understand why um he doesn’t understand why we don’t take like fun flyers on running backs like a Nick Chub, you know what I’m saying? Or something like that. Like trying to go like, you know what I’m saying? I was like, go get Damen Pierce. Go get you somebody else to make this room like all right, no matter what they going to be okay. I don’t know if we’re waiting, but this isn’t the time to wait. We should have been out there and went and got someone. So, it puts us in a weird predicament, but I I do want to know what y’all think in the comments, man. The Cowboys is 11th because of Pickkins and CD Lamb. And this this this just to let y’all know, this um actual ranking takes quarterbacks out. Quarterbacks are out. So, every team has the same level quarterback. It’s chess receivers, tight ends, running backs, etc. Chester weapons as 11th. Yeah. So even like Pat Mahomes and stuff like that, that’s why they cuz they the Chiefs would be the number one probably because the quarterback would swing the pendulum so far. This is just the fact that is is the weapons good enough and we just I feel like we need another running back. We should have traded for one, a lower tier trade or we should have went ahead and drafted one higher. And Jaydon Blue is I’m praying he going to turn into like Baby Alvin Kamar. But we got to see it. We got to see it. This is not an assumption. I can’t tell y’all definitively anything. But look, it’s your boy Mr. Rome, man. I just wanted to talk about that. Um, also tap in later. Might might hit y’all with a cover three. So, turn your notifications on. I appreciate y’all. I love y’all. Aalo.

  1. I hate it here sometimes… not on your channel Rome… but it’s the uncertainty of the run game… people say you got to be positive all the time, but you have to be honest…

  2. I’m not taking that blue take too serious smith ain’t been with the cowboys since 01 and blue shit back on X saying dude making up stuff so idk ain’t takin it to heart we will see on field

  3. this is nonsense . More of the same fantasy football GM wanna be talk All of the RB's on the team can play. .
All you fools said last year to get Henry. How you think they would've done with Henry and missing Dak? Nothing would've changed. Probably wouldn't have picked up Pickens this season with DH on team.
Didn't Chiefs get to SuperBowl with "washed up" Kareem Hunt?

  4. I’m not as concerned as most Cowboys fans. I think we have some Hungry RB. The two Vets are going to be going into camp with a BIG CHIP on their shoulders. And the rookie, Blue just wants a chance to prove he belongs. And you know Sanders can’t wait for that First Game against Philthy.😄

  5. This is what I think Rome, schotty is the head coach of this team so all the scenarios that reporters or analyst report on you have to realize Schotty is like 100 steps ahead of them, Schotty a first move was coaching staff & he knocked it out the park, coaching matters more than the names of the RB’ that the nation wants Schotty is coming with scheme something we haven’t had in years

  6. The run game will be fine Rome. The WR group will open it up. There is enough guys in there for one to get it done. This all depends on the O line and I think they will be just fine too, as long as TG does his job. I'm good with the RB's .

  7. New coaching staff..Trust the coaching and scheme..Every year their is a running back that nobody saw coming and it's running backs with high expectations that don't pan out..Relax!!! Training camp is Monday

  8. Bro is you serious??🤔🤔🤔 I seat here and watch your show and questioning about Miles Sanders & Javont Williams i may get that but then you say something about Phi & JB like are you really serious on get Nick Chubbs out all RB's you do know that guy suffered a major injury 2 years ago how do you know if he fully capable to physically come back at a RB position if he still has it that man broke has leg if take that chose I take my chance on seeing Miles or Javont first some people kill me with that see that's exactly why Jerry didn't pick Herny now every since then even with not getting Barkley people will say give any old f**k RB a chance and that's how we end with Zeke coming back when whole dam time let Rico Dowdle take #1 RB and had Cook at # 2 but no give to Zeke no where is Zeke ??🤔🤔

  9. I think we may have a sleeper in Sanders. He didn't do much in Phila, but that was because Hurts took the #1 RB job for himself and wouldn't let go. Until last season when he gave it to Barkley. Sanders has said every snap he gets this year is going to be personal. I've been saying with no run offense we're a one-dimensional offense. A one-dimensional offense can not be elite. Right now our RB room is a big, "?" We will know more once training camp hits and the pads come on.

  10. Oh so dak did have weapons in 2023. No the team showed up they gave up when they saw dak panic with deer In headlights and threw the pick to Jaire Alexander . Dak gave the momentum to Packers and sucked the air fight out of his teammates. This was 3 year in row they seen this .PTSD and checked out.

  11. From the outside looking in, just treat this season as a rebuild season. The only real difference between the 49ers and Cowboys is the coaching. Both teams have talent and I wouldn’t sleep on Miles Sanders…

  12. The wide receiver room makes our running back room stronger. A quarterback willing to make tight throws can pick a single high safety defense apart, when he has the choice of either Lamb or Pickens. And that’s not to mention Ferguson running the seam against a linebacker.

All of those options force the defense back—and that’s makes the holes created by our offensive line that much bigger.

Not worried about the run game. That’s what Riley and Adams worry about—and solve.

The worry is will Pickens be what we think he can be or will he be what Tomlin was concerned about him being?

That’s the fulcrum for this season.
