  6. Over reaction Saturday: Leave Taylor Ward in Philly and stop in Allentown for Mick Abel or (the holiest of overpays) Andrew Painter

  7. Angels bullpen has been doing it with smoke and mirrors. Today it imploded. They really need Stephenson back and to stay healthy.

  8. Walks have been a problem with the pitching staff for a while. It’s an organizational problem that needs addressing.

  11. It’s really fun to watch the Angels and think “man, I loving having clutch guys like Schwarber on our team!”

  12. I will say, I am fine trading Ward but we need to be close to sure what we are getting in return is going to contribute in the next year. This is prob the best team we have had since 2014 (which is sad) but seeing progress, we should be careful getting rid of 60+ rbis off this team. We Just dont have the talent to replace ward and score runs when needed. Keep in mind as well, we can’t “Tank” this year, we don’t have a top 10 pick in next year’s draft.

    So the next question is, who is the sure thing prospect we could get for Ward?

  17. Super happy with the way Kikuchi got us out of a couple of tough spots. Almost every other pitcher makes me sweat with fear that they’re going to give up a ton of hits, but Kikuchi is one of those pitchers where he can legitimately strike out three batters in a row to get us out of the bind.

    This one hurt because without that one bad pitch to give up the grand slam, the Angels probably would have won.

    On to the next one.
