The St. Louis Cardinals get smoked by a Yuanio Suarez and the Diamondbacks. And this might be the beginning of the end for the Birds playoff chances. Hey, it’s JD from Lock on Dog Cardinals. And after watching Arizona pound Andre Palante on Friday, the Cardinals turned to their number one, their stopper, their go-to guy, the best they have to offer in Sunny Gray to get them in the win column and moving in the right direction. And instead, he got obliterated. Nine runs in just three and a third innings. 11 hits, two home runs by Suarez. And the Cardinals were left speechless. They’re constantly playing from behind. This pitching staff has been terrible. This is an Arizona team that was three games under 500 going into the break and they have pummeled the Cardinals two starters for 15 runs and 20 hits in just eight innings of work. Brutal. Perhaps this makes the decision to sell at the trade deadline a little more obvious than it already was. The team doesn’t have enough right now to make a run into October. They don’t. They aren’t hitting. The rotation stinks. Phone lines are wide open if anybody wants anybody off the St. Louis Cardinals. Problem is, does anybody want anybody? Not sure what the value of our roster is if we blow the whole thing up. One thing for sure the value of Arenodo, with his big contract, and declining numbers cant be much. Too bad he didnt except the trade to Houston.

They're awful. The only ball players left on that team are Burly and Donny. The rest are nothing more than has been's and never will be's.

Hels is a must move, then Mayton and Matz are viable options as well, not sure if any of our bats will get moved until the off season.
Honestly I’m happy we can sell and set the team up for future success that’s what needs to happen.

Anyone who's been watching this team over the last few years & knows the slightest about the game knew this team had zero chance.

Helsley, Matz, Maton, Fedde, Mikolis, Arenado, Nootbar & Contreras is a great place to start. We will accept as little as peanuts or having our clubhouse vending machine stocked for a year. We dont want our players paying for soda anymore.
It's time to tank. At least if you tank you will get some good draft picks. Need to get rid of all the older veterans, and start playing the younger guys. Some of these guys might have to be released and the Cardinals might have to eat all of their salary. Let the rebuild begin!
The cardinals need to start planning for the future. Bring up the young guys and give them the experience.
I loved the Arenado trade when happened, but since 2023 he has been declinig. Awful year. I'm so sad, I thought he was the solution, now he became a problem
