Can show you we’re going to start making you some hefty coin. And it’s going to start here with this matchup between the Nationals and the Padres’s. The Nationals sending out McKenzie Gore for the start in this one. While the Padres’s will counter with Nick Paveta. And uh you know, McKenzie Gore for the better part of this season has been a lot more confident and a lot better of a pitcher at home. Um, but he has had a couple of blips here and there, but the the only real blip he’s had in his last seven starts came against the Dodgers on the road. And I’ll tell you, you know, it’s it’s funny, but a lot of a lot of pitchers are going to struggle against the Dodgers, but, you know, uh, Gore in that match up on the road, six runs allowed, five earned on seven hits, four walks, only had four strikeouts in that start. Um, really had some issues, but you look at his starts at Nationals Park. I mean, it’s not it’s, you know, not hard to see that that’s where the split has sort of been for McKenzie Gore this season, you know, at home, you know, a 2.39 RA and a 182 opponent’s batting average compared to a 3.52 ERA on the road and a 274 opponent’s batting average. So, like I said, the the split has been fairly evident, and I think that Mackenzie Gore could actually have a decent enough start here against a Padres’s lineup in the month of July. Yeah, it’s had some solid numbers when you look at their their, you know, averages and their, you know, team OPS numbers. When it comes to hitting against left-handed pitching, I mean, in the month of July across 192 plate appearances entering Saturday, the Padres’s hitting 298. Their team OPS numbers are just outside the top 10, but the isolated power numbers are bottom five, which tells me it’s a lot of singles, a lot of small ball being played for the Padres’s in that lineup. So, I think that Gore could have a strong outing here at least to start the game. On the other side, you’ve got Nick Paveta who, you know, maybe getting a little bit lucky with how low the ERA has been. I mean, he’s got 2.41 ERA across his last seven starts. Um but his last four starts, especially in the month of July, he’s been fairly, you know, fairly strong as well. And in three starts in the month of July, you know, a combined two runs allowed, one earned across 17 18 and a3 innings of work, 21 strikeouts for Nick Paveta in those outings. And like I said, I think it could just end up being a lowscoring game early on. I think it’s going to be a low-scoring game in general, to be honest. I think that the bullpens could still hold true here. You know, I know Washington, you know, maybe their bullpen could be a little bit problematic in this matchup with a 6.17 bullpen erra in the month of July. So, I would lean stronger towards the under in the first five, but I’m fine taking the under in the full game as well. Um, I think that if you were looking for a side in this one, I do lean towards the Padres’s just because of how strong their bullpen has been and their, you know, reliability in terms of being able to hold it down once they take over that part of the game. But I think the first five full game under is where I want to be here. So that’s going to be where I look and that’s going to be my free pick.
