2009 LeBron James at his athletic peak gliding down the court like The Flash and throwing it down with ferocity

In his prime, he’s the best fastbreak player of all time.
His full court speed at that size has always been some actual nonsense.
Some of these look edited with how he’s moving so much faster than the defense lmao
Did he just dunk with two hands from damn near the free throw line….wtf
The Alley Oop attempt against Portland is one of the freakier displays of first stint LeBron
The things he could do in those early years. People literally just did not play transition defense on him because of how fast he was moving
terrifying
In his prime Bron was a fastbreak god
Gazelle feet w a rhino body.
Never been an athlete like him. Not really even close tbh. Not with that combination of size/speed/strength/coordination
Never seen prime LeBron?
Well this is him.
aint nobody bring it back like lebron. often imitated never duplicated.
I’m still going to say Miami LeBron when he was stronger is his athletic peak, but part of the reason that worked is because slowing down 10% still left him stupid fast. Somebody that size should *not* be moving like this
Yea, young LeBron had such an incredible first step burst and ability to hit a top speed just faster than everyone. Then you add the fact that he’s like 6’8 250 and completely unstoppable physically and it’s simply an unfair beautiful nightmare flying down the court at all times.
Can we do a mega thread of favorite LBJ moments, so many post clog this sub up that are about LBJ.
His landing on dunks AND blocks: Two feet, every time.
at 0:12 he’s pretty much behind the ball before the guy throws an outlet and still makes it in time for the block.
high school coaches: passing is faster than running
unless you’re playing against lebron lol
It’s like in NBA Jam when everyone else’s turbo runs out.
Like the force of prime Shaq with the speed of prime Iverson. Plus if you physically merge their bodies it would be Lebron’s physique exactly lol
He ran the floor similar to how McDavid skates compared to the competition.
HGH
Do you think he watches highlights of himself sometimes and just goes “damn”
Lebron was a train back then it was either a foul or get dunked on because who is taking that charge lol
Still amazes me how the mavs beat him and the heat in the finals. Rick Carlisle is an amazing coach and how he game planed against LeBron will be talked about forever. Look at this video this guy LeBron went to a super team it’s like super man and the justice league vs teen titans. It’s incredible to think about.
The only thing he can do is bulldozer down, he can’t dribble, and btw half of those “blocks” who have been called fouls if they happened to him.

Unreal overall athleticism for that size
I wish I was old enough when MJ was still playing so that I could have first hand experience of seeing him play too. Man for a long time I’ve sat on the MJ as GOAT side but some of the stuff I’ve seen Bron do like this really makes me question it now. I do still take MJ based on mentality mostly
He’s a bulldozer. Would you want him to be running full speed at you on a court?
The 360 dunk block was hilarious.
L-TRAIN
The crazy part is that he only takes a handle full of power strides then he’s up to top speed
Giannis and this guy
As a kid, he was amazing of course. But now with 20 years of perspective, this looks like something completely alien. This LeBron would be dropping 35 a night with absolute ease.
The freight train rendered the defense helpless GEEZ
Reminds me of the video of wilt sprinting past everyone 😂
Freight train
Gd that block on jrich doing a 360 😮💨
And what’s even crazier is that playing at that speed and intensity in his prime didn’t shorten his career.
Ever seen those tacomas or tundras run 100 miles an hour on an open road without a care for the world?
That one clip of him leaping to catch a bad lob pass has always been insane to me, almost bonked his head doing that.
That block on J-Rich is still one of the most disrespectful things I’ve ever seen on a basketball court. Just fucking embarrassed him
Look where he jumped and compare that distance to where he landed
He’ll do that about 2-4 times a night, while playing 40 minutes and giving you elite defense (08-09, he finished top 4 in voting and top 2 in 09-10)
He’s a goddamn freak of nature
People act like saying he’s #2 all time is a diss.
I got to see this live in Dallas in December 09! Dirk was injured. A turnover, which led to a fast break- then the most amazing athletic feat I’ve ever seen. He was AN EXPLOSION
