Angels vs. Phillies Game Highlights (7/20/25) | MLB Highlights

Joe Adle and the fanatic. Well, they got into a little tussle. It was all fun and Then the fanatic decided that he was the winner. Didn’t last much, didn’t really last long. One head butt to that big old head of his. That will take care of all of it. You would never know that we had a massive storm just 20 minutes or so ago. It’s bright sunshine right now. There’s ranger first start since the all star break, the lowest, er, a since May 10th in major league baseball on the first pitch. He gives up a long fly ball. Zack Netto sends it deep back for it is Marsh to make the catch stumbling and backing against the wall and down to a knee gave it a ride. But Marsh able to pull it in. I thought he got it the way he was skipping and jumping. It was a quick out, but a very exciting out was heck of a play by Marsh one out. No one on just under way gets hit by a pitch, painful at bat for, that’s not a good spot. He got hit with there to walk it off to shake that off as much as possible, but that got him. Square. Can’t continue. I imagine Lemon Wade would go to first base like he’s going to talk his way into staying in there. That one is taken for ball four , a pretty good pitch. That’s a four pitch walk. The Angels have had a couple of free base runners here in this inning trying to capitalize on it. A called strike three right on the inside part of the play with a and ranger out of a jam here in the 1st 24 pitches, Nolan Shau hit by a pitch and he does not stay out there for a defense. So Lamonte Wade does enter the game, jose Soriano hope that Lamon Wade can pick some of those ground balls that he’ll know down to have thrown behind him. He’s going to get a lot of action over there at first base and the Phillies have them at the corners with one out runners at 1st and 3rd. Now that should have been out at second base. They might not have been able to turn the double that will bring nick Casiano to the plate. He reached 900 RBIs last night. Here’s a chopper to short has that throw a second one. He put a first two, a double play. That’s how you pick up your infielder and Soriano does so so well with his 22nd double play, works out here for the Angels. They have loaded him up on three straight singles. Big scoring chance for the Angels to get an early lead here. A guy who was tough to score against Rangers. Suarez had allowed two runs or fewer in nine straight starts until his last outing gave up a grand total of three making an early trip to the mound to have a conversation with Ranger that too often. Zack Netto will be the batter. The base hit yesterday with the bases loaded was swinging on a 3 to 0 count and Netto loops to right field that’s falling. That’s a base hit. Heads home run will get the stop sign as Castellanos fires it in for zack Netto and the Angels have a 1 to 0 lead, four straight hits stopped at third Newman’s at second and Netto has the RB I hit and the Angels have the 1 to 0 lead. Here’s Trout today, five home runs away from 400 in his career. Four RBS from 1004 pitch that looked like a strike. That’s a break. It’s a bases loaded walk that will get Trout one RB I closer to 1009, 190 seven. Angels will take it. Trout has an RB I walk and the Angels have a 2 to 0 lead. Still the bases loaded here is Taylor Ward and Ward sucks one toward the gap in left center field. This is deep. It’s headed toward the alley as it bounces off the wall and unloads the bases. Three runs are in Taylor Ward strikes again on the road and it’s a five run inning for the Halos crushed a four seam fastball. He has been an extra base hitting this year with 72 RB I and 23 doubles. 23 home runs and two triples. Ranger looks like he just doesn’t want to be out there bottom of the second Phillies with some work to do. Brandon Marsh will lead it off. Brandon Marsh bounces one through the left side. The shortstop was shaded toward the middle and in his first plate appearance all year in the top five in the batting order, he gets a base, Marsh moves up to third base, but now it will be up to Raphael Marchand, get a big hit back to the middle and into center field. A base hit of the Phillies are on the board. Rafael March 6th RB I it’s a 5 to 1 ball game that is for March. He hasn’t had that bat in the game for how long he hit that ball right back where it came from right past Soriano and in the center that makes it five to one. The Angels just keep getting people on base in this ball game against. He’s not fooling anyone today. Only two swing and misses for Suarez today so far, he’s not fooling anybody got to take advantage of that. Nobody out. And this is just not Rangers Day. No, it is not. The Angels threatening again. Rangers Suarez will have to face mike Trout with runners on 1st and 3rd. An inside out swing and a shot to shallow right center. Castellanos makes the catch net is tagging Castellanos los the throw home too late up the line and mike Trout gets his second RB I today number 998 in his career, the Angels add on it’s now 6 to 1. They have silenced this big Sunday afternoon crowd here at bay. He’s given up six runs today. And what is somewhat of a un ranger like outing 10th ground out in this game for jose Soriano that pretty much tells the story that Sinker is in play and located very well today, Trey Turner the batter now and he swings and pokes that one into right field through the hole 1st and 2nd. So he gets a base hit one out here in the fifth. You can’t control where the ground ball goes, swing and he went around strike 34. Seamer. That will be a strikeout the second time Schwarber struck out today against Soriano Harper zero for two today, swinging a strike three runs that sinker up and away that front on that sinker today. Soriano with four strikeouts. A pair of them coming here in. Wade leads off here in the sixth inning against Joe Ross and he lifts one out to right, this is deep and this one is long gone into the second deck. Lamon Wade Jr has his second home run of the year. That is a big boy territory. That’s Schwarber Harper territory here at the bank 422 ft 109 off the bat. His first home run, he made a count. He gets to get the baseball too. If he wants it. Seventh home run, the Angels have hit in this series so the Angels lead growing, it’s now 7 to 1. Soriano is the leader in major league baseball in fly ball percentage. The least fly ball percentage, 11% of his outs. Otto has the hardest hit ball. The base hit to right field, a fly ball deep right field. So is back. It’s gone home run for Otto the opposite way. They finally got a ball in the air and this one carried right out of the ballpark. That’s his second major league home run. It’s a 7 to 2 game runners on two outs that will bring Taylor Ward to the plate. Struck out in each of his last two at bat. He’s also doubled and walked in this game. He hit this one well toward left backing up for it is Kepler over his head as the one off the wall in left field. It’s a four RB I day for Taylor Ward. He’s driven in 73. The extra base hit, he’s had a four RB I game and he’s driven in eight runs this weekend in Philadelphia. He has 20 RBS in his last 19 games. He’s on one of those hot streaks right now. Angels add on and now it’s 8 to 2. Bryson Jose Soriano entered the day with a 247. Er, a on the road hasn’t moved much today. Two run, six and one third innings. Ground ball to third. It’s Newman going to second for one over to first two, a double play. Another ground ball, double play Turner has rolled into 23 double plays turned behind Soriano. This season will be the batter with two outs. He’s been on base three times tonight. Left center field pretty well hit. Marsh is on the run out to the track out toward the wall. He jumps and he makes the catch brandon bars got to the spot and he reels it in robbing his former teammate tracking it the entire way and up against the WB Mason sign. He makes the catch for the final out trying to win this series against the Phillies. Three outs to get there with an 8 to 2 lead as Carson Fuller will try to finish this one out in the air but say good night to the Phillies as the Angels win this series, their first series win in this ballpark in 17 years.
