All right guys, over the weekend, Judy Battista of the NFL Network was on an NFL Network stream and she was asked a little bit about the Browns quarterback battle, what insights she had into what may go towards determining the winner of the Browns four part quarterback battle she had. A quote and then a little reaction to the quote that I want us — to dive into and I don’t know what that noise is that’s
— the, uh, I think the Thunderbirds are here. They were here Friday. I don’t know if they’re scouting for the we we heard the Jets. I can hear it throughout the building’s not getting picked up to anyone watching at home, but yeah, they didn’t hear that. We heard him Friday. They were buzzing around and we went out back and watched. I was like, I was like, You sure we wanna talk about that topic? Yeah, it’s gonna sound like it’s gonna sound like Labor Day weekend here in a minute. All right, so this is what Judy Battista of the NFL Network had to say in regards to the Browns quarterback situation, quote. They being the Browns want somebody that’s going to be able to run the offense, minimize mistakes, and make good decisions later on in this 45 minute discussion which covered a range of different topics. Batista said the Browns have already given Gabriel their 3rd round rookie an increase in snaps after being blown away by his processing speed early on. That’s a particularly notable trait that could continue to endear Gabriel to the Brown’s coaching staff, especially because processing speed and decision making will be major keys behind the decision to name a starter. So Jay, Jason G going off what Judy Battista is. I guess she’s reporting it. It’s more of an opinion than an official report, but there’s someti is saying if it does come down to decision making and processing speed, does that give any one of the four quarterbacks, Flacco, Pickett, Gabriel Sanders, a major head up over the other in terms of the path to become the Browns week one starter? Only if you believe her reporting, um, if, if, if what she’s reporting is true and the Browns recognized him as a quick processor and wanted to put him through more reps, then yeah, but I still think uh it depends if you wanna go old head or do you wanna go young. If you’re going old head, is there anybody that’s gonna give you a better better options than Joe Flacco? I, I don’t think there is. Um, just because he’s been processing for nearly 20 years at the NFL level, so I, I think that if that’s what they’re gonna make their decision on the least amount of mistakes and quick processing, I think Joe Flacco would be one. And after that, if you believe that Gabriel is doing. Well at processing speed and, and all of that, then you might say that he’s #2, but That’s only if you believe this reporting and if it’s actually true that his pro that he that he seems to be quicker than the other guys. — So
— I, I come at it, I, I guess on, on the premise alone, um, I kinda disagree with it. Um, I don’t, I don’t disagree that the, the winner of the, the quarterback matchup is gonna come down to, to. Um, making decisions quickly and, you know, keeping the football and not turning over. Well, — that is a pillar
— though. Yes it is. That’s a Steansky pillar, but, but that, that’s a little too surface level for me. The person who’s gonna win this job. Is the person that can make throws 1520 yards. I don’t believe the the the person that’s gonna come out on this, on this quarterback competition is gonna be a guy that sits there and checks it down to the tight end and throws the ball to the flats. We’ve seen that a lot of times, and frankly, we saw it last year with Deshaun Watson. We’ve seen it. With Jacoby Brissette, the offense, yes, is a run predicated offense yes, he wants you to take care of the ball. No, you’re not supposed to throw it, throw it to the other team, but when you’re in this league and you’re going to be in a place where they’re gonna give you those throws, they’re gonna let you move the ball a little bit more between the twenties. The separating factor between quarterbacks. See if you are a franchise guy and a guy that can, can win in the NFL from the pocket, you have to be a guy that’s going to be able to complete passes 10 to 25 yards consistently anticipate those throws. And so if you want, if I’m telling any of the quarterbacks, if, if you’re in a 4 quarterback race and you think I’m gonna just be super efficient, well, there’s no difference between Any of them, like just sitting there and throwing and being super efficient is not going to make the cut. The, the person who’s gonna separate themselves is the guy who has big plays, splash plays, chunk plays, but at the same time does not turn the football over. That’s the person who’s gonna turn, turn some eyebrows and say, OK, well, he might be a guy we can win with, but if we just talk about let’s get the ball out of our hands quickly, frankly, that’s not gonna win you no games anyway. That’s cool to stay in games, but winning games comes. — From you make a big play
— was it quickly or processing quickly? I don’t think it was getting because if it’s getting the ball out of your hand quickly, then I would say that puts Shadoor Sanders at a huge disadvantage. Uh, the one knock on him is he just holds the football too long. Now is that because he’s processing a little slower? I don’t know, but I, I didn’t read that G and maybe I’m misreading it. That’s why I’m asking again. I didn’t read it uh to say, uh, who gets the ball out of their hand quickly. Or the fastest. I read it. Who can process what’s happening the quickest to get the ball to the right spot? Well, here, sometimes, you know, when you talk about processing and you get the ball out of your hand quickly. those things go hand in hand because it’s, it’s almost being like a computer. You, you need RAM memory, but you also need a fast internet. So you gotta look at it from perspective. If I’m, if I’m processing information quickly. If you can’t put, if you can’t throw with anticipation or pull the trigger, you’re still screwed. Well, you’re done, right? I mean, if you don’t have either of those, you got, you got, you got to have both of them. So yes, processing counts. The, the speed of your computer counts, but you also need to have the ability to, to look and see where the defense is right now and anticipate where it’s gonna be. So I think those things go hand in hand in terms of processing. Um, that’s a big part of it, but I think if you dig a little deeper, I think there’s some other things that go along with who’s gonna win? Jay, — what do you
— think? Uh, I think everybody is like in a lot of these reports, everyone is saying the same thing in a different dialect because this falls right in line with everything I’ve been saying since the seat began, and I’m surprised you landed on Flacco because I read that and it’s Kenny Pickett. It’s what I keep saying when you talk about making the right decisions, it’s Kenny Pickett. He doesn’t turn the ball over. That’s what Kevin likes about him. And uh we, we know with Flacco there’s gonna be a bundle of interceptions. Yes, he’s gonna put up big passing yards. He’s also gonna throw it to the other team a lot. It’s what drove the Browns crazy about Jameis Winston last year and the, the only knock on Dylan Gabriel in terms of like the process and everything. I’ve heard the exact same thing that the playbook is there, the processing is there. I also saw a number of passes get batted down, so it doesn’t matter how fast you’re reading it if you can’t get it where it’s supposed to go. And I mean, you know, I think I said before, if, if Dylan Gabriel was for. He is taller, he’s probably a first round pick, but he’s not. Yeah, and that’s why he went where he went and like that’s why when the Browns are at these mini camps and they’re running these 7 on 7 plays, they’re also running it with extra offensive linemen to see if he can get it over them, if he can see around them, and this is an issue. And you heard throughout the pre-draft process the Browns didn’t see on film where, where does the height show up? Where does it show up? We don’t see where it shows up. Well, they see it now. OK, well, that’s still a lot different than than in the NFL, right? So, and, and you know, I mean if the Browns can design an offense to where they can move the pocket and create passing lanes for Dillon Gabriel, I think he has a great chance to succeed in this offense, but we see that. Can I ask you a question? Help, help me because, because I, for the life of me, I just the picket thing. I just don’t see it. I don’t either. Uh, can you help me cause, cause I’m seriously, I’ll be looking and I, I’m trying to look at it objectively, but when I go back and watch Kenny Pickett in Pittsburgh, it was nothing special. You’re right. I go back and I look at it some of his starts and when he played in Philadelphia, there’s some, some things and then even when in the numbers. He’s supposed to be a guy that keeps, uh, you know, doesn’t turn the ball over, but you look at his turnover touchdown interception rate, it’s, it’s not great. I’m just looking for what the Browns are seeing in Kenny Pickett because I just don’t see it on a, on a number of. I think that they feel like Pittsburgh was a terrible situation for him. And there was a lot that was playing against them and, and listen, I don’t want to sit here and and sound like I’m screaming from the mountain tops, Kenny Pickett is the next great quarterback in the NFL? That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying of the four quarterbacks that are provided to the Browns right now in front of them. I think Pickett’s the one that’s gonna win the starting job. It doesn’t mean he’s gonna start 17 games, but he takes care of the football. Yes, the touchdown interception rate is almost 1 to 1. It’s not good because he threw a ton of touchdowns, but he also didn’t throw a ton of interceptions. We went through this with the interception rate. His interception rate. Is around the level of Mahomes-ish. That’s the only time you’ll ever compare Kenny Pickett to Patrick Mahomes, but I’m saying he takes care of the football, and I think the Browns and Kevin Steans are looking at this is don’t throw it to the other team. That’s the thing that’s gonna kill us. So if you hold on to the ball, you make the right decisions, we can win with that in an acceptable level. Now again, I don’t think they could be very. This year they’re not gonna be very good. They don’t want to be very good. I don’t think that they think the future quarterback is on this roster, but they gotta get through the next 17 games, and I think they want to take a look at them. I, I get what you’re saying, Jay, but I also, having been through this twice in the last 2 years with the high risk, high reward offense and first time around Joe Flacco, second time around Jameis Winston, I would ask Kevin Steanski this what good. Is only throwing 10 interceptions if you only throw 12 touchdowns, at least with not so much Jameis. Jameis there for a while just was like Oprah giving away cars. Everybody got one, but with Flacco, even though he did throw interceptions at critical times, he was thrown for 300 yards a game and 3 touchdowns. So the risk was worth the, you know, the risk was there, the reward, there were the juice was worth the squeeze. OK, you’re gonna throw a pick or 2, but you’re also gonna throw 3 or 4 touchdowns and it’s the plus ratio to me that’s kind of like OPS in baseball. When you add the two numbers together, is there enough there to say this is our guy? I think the Browns are looking at this from the fact that. Matt Canada will go down as perhaps the worst offensive coordinator in the history of the NFL. That’s, that’s possible. And there was just, I think that there was, they look at this and I’ll probably do something on this in a couple of weeks as we get deeper into camp because I don’t have all the information. Yet I’m still kind of digging on this. They felt like he was set up to fail in a number of ways. So I, and again I think they’re just looking at this as, hey, let’s take a shot. Nobody, nobody is saying — Kenny Pickett is gonna be the Browns quarterback for the
— next. It’s another scratch off. Nobody saying that. Take a shot. It’s a gap year. You know what, I don’t see the upside in playing 40-year old Joe Flacco. What is the upside? You’re gonna win an extra game or two? Yeah, I mean, congratulations. I, — I
— think, I think a lot of people say come from the same perspective you come from. If it’s a, a year you ain’t gonna play and you’re gonna do it, play young people to see if you got some. Why even bring them in then? In case everything else goes to hell, but what’s, what difference does it make you’re gonna win an extra game or two, because I think like if that’s the case, I’d rather take a flyer out a young guy. And for the record, when they signed Flacco, I said I don’t understand what they’re doing. I don’t understand this move. And Jason, Jason did say that. I can’t confirm. Yeah, I, I mean to me he’s an insurance to me, I just simply think this may sound wild. Joe Flacco is 41, but throw for throw skill for skill, arm for arm, talent for talent. I think he’s just simply better than Kenny Pig. I agree with that. I agree too. And it’s, and it’s tough because this is why this thing is so tough because we, we, we got this varying degrees of separation between these quarterbacks. All of them have certain skill sets, all of them have certain things. You either way, whoever starts, this is gonna be a season that we never forget because I’ve never, I’m never gonna see a, a, a, a quarterback potentially start and after one game, people are like, I wanna see the next dude. No, it might be that way with all, all it’s just gonna keep it rotate. Alright, let’s go back to that. I listen, I haven’t seen him in a while. — You’re you’re you’re
— it, my goodness. So, to that point, like Jay, this is what I really have a hard time with, and I, I get it. I get the reality of it. We’re gonna stink. I get that. I get that, but When you start the season, the objective is the same for, for most teams. Win as many games as you can, see if you can get in the playoffs, and see what happens. When, when I’m told before training camp officially gets fully underway that They’re not trying to win. They’re trying to find their quarterback for the next season. That’s a tough as a fan, I, I say this Well, call me in 2026 then. I don’t have 3 hours of Sunday, 17 times a week, 52 hours to give to an effort that is minimoski, that is set up at the very beginning to not win games. This is the carnage of the Dehaan Watson disaster though. There is no other path out. — No one has yet to present a path out
— other than I mean than this. There is, but it’s highly unlikely. Dylan Gabriel could stand up and become the next Russell Wilson. Yes, — that’s possible or
— Dylan could emerge and claim the job, — and you could
— be the next. We don’t know. We don’t know. And, and so that’s the outlier of hope. But if that’s all I’m clinging to, I’m basically just like, OK, give me the opening day next, next March. Isn’t there something to be said for an offensive guy? This is your offense. You drafted these people. Is it not something where you should have to show and prove your worth and say. I’m gonna come into the season and I’m gonna get the most, and he’s done that. Remember he made the playoffs with 5 different quarters I’m gonna come in and get the most. 2026 be damned. If there’s a quarterback then, we’ll figure it out, but I need to coach these dudes up now. But I think that that’s what they’re doing and which again. And is why I don’t understand why you would play Joe Flacco. There’s no path there. There’s no future there, at least with the other three. You could squint. — You could angle the chair enough to see where maybe there’s a
— path. But for that when you, I can squint loud, hardly, hard enough, and I can see Flacco winning 10 games. I can do it. So, so I mean, which one is more likely? Neither are very likely, but it could happen. But Flacco at least has done it recently where these other guys, we have no idea if they could do it at this level. I mean Kickett’s been a starter two years in the end, — but we
— don’t know if he can win at this level. Well, he took two teams to the playoffs. If that’s your bar, wait a minute. He was a starter. We’re not saying he took Philadelphia to the playoffs. No, the Steelers. He was a yeah, yeah, yeah in the NFL. He was a starter for 2 years. His team went to the playoffs, but I can bar. But I can also say there was one year where Kenny Pinkett was hurt. They had a chance to go back to Kenny Pinkett, and they say, no, we’re playing Mason Rudolph in the playoffs. That they did. He played in Pittsburgh. See this thing, this is the thing I keep getting. He played in Pittsburgh his whole college career. He played 4 years. They watched him for 4 years. They drafted him in the 1st round. Which is stunning. They drafted him in the first round and then they said, you know what, nah, this ain’t it. That’s tough to do. That, that, I mean they, they’ve seen him more than anybody in the league play. Now I’m not saying that you can’t come back and be Sam Darnold. Here’s, here’s what I am saying. Uh, you, he may be a, listen, I, I watched these preseason games and, and he’s gonna ball out. If he balls out, I give him credit cause that’s where it’s the thing I could do. But I also must say that it is imperative, it is malpractice for the Cleveland Browns to go and waste draft capital on Shanoa Sanders and Dillon Gabriel just did not give them an opportunity to prove something. It’s crazy because, because, because you wasted those picks. You could have kept if you wanted to play, see this could have been all easy. If they wanted to lose straight up, they could have just took Flacco like they signed him. And signed Kenny Pickett. Those are our two quarterbacks, whichever one that loses the battle is a backup. We’ll take a flyer on some practice squad guy, and now we take those picks that you had in 3rd and 5th and we surround this and bolster this offensive line. We bolster some receivers and we’re gonna lose next year with these old guys and then go get our quarterback. But you muddied the waters when you use draft capital on young quarterbacks. But 2, actually it’s 3 if you say cause you had to trade up to get your order and then, and then the, the, the complicated thing is you took the, you took the one of the most popular quarterbacks in the draft and you act like people is not gonna clamor for him because it’s gonna happen. That’s the thing that people are confused about the most and we didn’t tell, we didn’t do it. The Browns picked those people. I, I, I do think that they’re both gonna get an opportunity. They’re gonna, you’re gonna see what they can do because I agree with your point, but also I would also add this if they took a defensive tackle in the 5th round, would you demand that they play them or else it’d be a wasted pick? No, no, no, but the third one, I got a problem with. I totally agree. I got a problem. What it is is like when you draft quarterbacks and you throw them right into the fire. The there’s a, especially in this organization, there is a long muddied history of us just ruining guys in year one or two because not many guys come from college football to the NFL and are ready to succeed. And if you throw these guys in there and you wreck them, just take 2 more. Quarterbacks that had a lot of hope and potential and throw them on the junk heap, which is piling up a lot of quarterback names of guys that played way before they were ready. I think honestly, if you look at their history, I think Tim Couch was wrecked by injuries obviously I think we can all agree on that. Beyond that, I think they took quarterbacks who weren’t very good. Yeah, but I don’t think, I don’t think, I don’t think the Browns destroyed DeSean Kaiser. I don’t think DeSean Kaiser was good enough to play in the NFL. — No
— and that proved out. Andy was rushed. Brady Quinn wasn’t. I don’t think Johnny Manziel damn sure wasn’t ready. No, I mean, no, Manziel is a total disaster. If you’re good enough to play in the NFL, you may get wrecked with one team, but you’ll — resurface
— somewhere else and rehab your career. And where has that ever happened? It hasn’t. It’s never. The problem with that, Jay is going back and this, this is why you have 3 decades plus of absolute not just not playoff football, horrific football because it is all about the quarterback and that has been one position that regardless of owner, regardless of general manager, there is something in the soup here, there is something in the culture that just prohibits you from getting that right. It prohibits you from getting it right. We’ve never gotten it right. And when we kind of thought maybe we got it right for a minute, everybody thought we got it right, we quickly pivoted and said no this ain’t it either, and I would now I think a lot of folks say we wish we had that move back. So it’s like not only can’t you pick them, when you pick them, oftentimes you’re wrong no matter where you end up on them. If you think they’re good, they’re bad. If you think they’re bad, they end up being good. I think this year is gonna be a lot more difficult than than people if they’re losing wanna admit. It’s easy to say if you’re losing, we’ll worry about next year. You mean the losing in the middle of it in the middle of October and you watching it. There’s there’s gonna be look, I’m being honest with you, there’s gonna be pressure if you’re 1 and 2 and 7 that that — that’s
— gonna look how many games out of the 1st 6 Cleveland be favored because then you start to combine. I think they’re favor. You, well, I mean, obviously the odds change as you get a body of work, but, but right now you kind of know who your first six opponents are. The 1 in 31, you went winless, right? But you, the cumulative effect starts to hit you because you only won 3 times last year. Yeah, and I can’t even remember what games those were. So if you win 3 again, it it it you’re like, — so we went 6
— and 28 28. That isn’t bad. That’s all-time colossal failure. And that’s why I keep saying I know we keep coming back to the Andrew Barry thing, but And then I wasn’t here with the Quin Shaw Judkins thing, but like, You just, there’s too many, there’s too many bullets to survive this thing. There it the body of work for Andrew Barry has been abysmal and someone’s gotta pay the price. Someone has to, and, and, and so you look at it, if you’re talking about, uh, you know, you have those things happening, so you and I’m pretty much sure he’s probably gonna get 6 games at least. Uh, uh, in terms of what, what his suspension looks like. So now, You are without the guy who you thought was gonna be your bell. — They was gonna get him the ball and
— a lot. Oh, — he
— was gonna get the ball a lot. Now you don’t have that guy. So now the bolster you thought you had in the run game because we’re going back to it, you take that piece away, we back to Sharon and, and you’re like, OK, well can we throw the ball? Nah, that one what we was predicated on. We ain’t, we ain’t got no receivers neither. So it’s like what. Like, now, hold on, so you mean we we running it back basically and you got no quarterbacks from last year. — Those quarterbacks
— that’s not a bad thing. Listen, I don’t know, like you’re right, it’s just tough because I don’t see a world where, where 656 wins in 2 years automatically brings his job back. And that’s why I was saying that’s a nice job, Andrew Barry, getting that first round pick. The problem is you might not be here to. — I don’t see a
— world where he’s here to pick it. It’ll be a fascinating couple of months here, but we do know vets report to training camp. They had their first practice on Wednesday, and we will have all your training coverage right. We’re we’re doing a whole subject in the second. OK. OK. If you have a question, text it to me. I wanted to know what you was gonna say. You gonna say something. I just yeah, real quick, but you mentioned uh. Jason mentioned he saw a bunch of passes to get batted down from Dylan Gabriel and I’m just curious. If anyone, Jason, Jay, if you guys looked into it, he was a shotgun quarterback in college. He played in UCFF, which was spread shotgun. He played at Oklahoma spread shotgun, went to Oregon spread shotgun. The Browns, from all accounts are going back to an under center play action kind of offense which. Puts the quarterback closer to the offensive line, making it harder for a quarterback who’s at a height disadvantage that they’re over some incredibly large human beings, including a Deuan Jones at left tackle who’s maybe the biggest offensive tackle in all football. So I was just curious if you guys had heard anything in terms of that portion of his progression going from a shotgun quarterback in college, now an under center quarterback in the NFL with his height disadvantage being an issue. I haven’t heard anybody say anything like as far as him working on it, but I just know as a defensive lineman. That like it’s it, you know, once you get, you get with a, a smaller quarterback of stature, we, we go to the mirror game. We’re not really trying to rush you. We don’t wanna rush you. We don’t wanna, we don’t need to sack you. What we wanna do is we wanna mirror you and get in your passing lanes. So now that passing lane when you want to throw the quick three-step RPO stuff, that’s why you should be in shotgun or you have to be in shotgun. Um, because you know, defensive linemen are in passing lanes or whatever, and they don’t really, they teach you, we’re not gonna, we don’t need to rush him. We can get your hands up. We wanna, we wanna get the hands up, the flexions. We wanna make it very difficult for his receivers to have any clean looks. And if you can look at it, there’s a picture in practice of Deuan Jones. Backpedaling, um, and it was a video and Dillon Gabriel like kind of flushing out of the pocket trying to figure out where it is and the thing is he’s left-handed. So his, his, when he turns left, he’s doing the right way to throw the ball and Deuan Jones is an eclipse. It’s like he’s an eclipse standing in front of him. Now the real talented ones, can it be done? Sure, um, you know, Drew Brees was a magical addict. Heck, Doug Flutie was really good at it. Russell Wilson is very good at it, but you, you, time will only tell. And that’s why preseason games will be fun. I mean, I would like to put Dylan Gabriel and Kyler Murray back to back and see which one’s actually taller. Gabriel’s listed 5’11. Murray’s listed 510. Those are never accurate. That means 5’9 and 58 probably. I mean, the draft height is usually on. — It’s laser do that with
— socks, yeah, yeah, um, but I mean Murray’s athleticism is off the charts. Yeah, it’s more so than probablyylan Gabriel. But, uh, but yeah, I’m trying to be kind, but the, the, the Browns have loved what what Dylan can do in the classroom on film, all of that is true, all of that is accurate, but that has to translate. To production on the field and that’s, I, I don’t know if it’s so Jason, so you telling me, y’all get the cameras rolling. Jason Lloyd is telling us that he is actually interested. And preseason athletics this year. Mark it down, Jason, are you on record saying you will be interested this year? I’m interested in joint practices. It was. It was it was. It was it was the joint, the joint practices I think will be more telling than the preseason games. I mean, you know, this is interesting, but one last thing before we go, since ’99, the Browns have had 40 starting quarterbacks. And that is the that’s more than every other team, of course, by a lot. Only 3 of them have led them to winning records. Joe Flacco was one of them. They got a 44 Flacco won’t count onto that total, but in all likelihood we’re gonna add 3 more to that list this year, would give us 43 starting quarterbacks in 26 seasons. It is crazy, crazy. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has made it clear that two traits will define the Browns’ starting quarterback for Week 1: accuracy and decision-making. While athleticism and arm strength are important, Stefanski believes that consistently hitting throws and processing the game quickly are the keys to running his offense at a high level. These qualities will be front and center as the Browns work through one of the most competitive quarterback battles in recent franchise history.
This mindset sheds light on why rookie Shedeur Sanders, who showcased impressive efficiency and poise during OTAs, is firmly in the mix despite limited experience. It also explains the buzz around Dillon Gabriel, whose ability to read defenses and make quick decisions is already turning heads in camp. In this segment, we dive into how Stefanski’s focus on these two traits could shape the QB depth chart and why they might ultimately determine who wins the Browns’ starting job.

?????are you going to show us film on guys working ? training camp????????
Flacco's team till it ain't keep the bench warm Sanders
are Rookies practicing now ???
This guy Jason Lloyd loves Kenny Pickett lmao
Mary Kay Cabot needs to lose her job. I don't know why she's ever had a job. I've been a Browns fan for 50 years. Haven't liked anything that come out of her mouth. She doesn't know what she's talking about and she needs to go.
It’s pretty clear to me the Browns signed Joe Flacco because that’s what Myles Garrett wanted them to do. Lol. Very simple. The vets want the guy that took them to the playoffs. That’s why Garrett resigned. They gave him assurance that Flacco would be back.
Shedeur didn't have the best oline, nor a running game, so he was trying to make plays
Guys, GET SERIOUS? Sanders and most Rookies have NEVER FACED NFL Pressure! Flacco knows – Pros are Smarter, Faster, Bigger, Stronger & HIT Way Harder. It's a "Wake-Up" Call
Yes many reports say Gabriel is really impressing the coaches. I think he will start the year as QB2, behind either Flacco or Kenny. Shedeur will be last on the depth chart, but he still might get time if Gabriel doesn't look like a franchise QB when he takes over for the starter.
Play the young guys, the other 2 guys can't win. Joe throw interception at the wrong time. Kenny haven't won shit.Shedeur is qb1.
It's all about which QB gives the Browns the best chance to win.
Wtf is DG processing where he's completing just over 50% of his passes through camp. Lol must got a Windows 95 processor. 😂😂😂 yall got stop with the regurgitation of opinions and just tell what u see
Shadeur hangs in to the ball to long. He could be a good back up one day
Gabriel would have went undrafted if not for the Browns… starting the think Cleveland, the organization and the reporters don’t know shit. Sheduer is him. He’s the best QB on the roster…simpletons.
Shedeur is the best QB between the 4 , with more upsight
If Shedeur Sanders was not on the Browns. the biggest story in Cleveland would be Q Judkins domestic violence case! which would be more bad press for the Browns! Shedeur being in Cleveland is helping the Browns generate good news! Joe, Kenny, and Dillon will have to out play Shedeur by a mile on the field ! this is probably not going to happen. Off the field Shedeur Sanders is winning by a land slide. the GM and Coach of the Browns are in a tough spot! the Browns are not a playoff team. losing a lot of games with Dillion, Joe, Kenny, = the Owner of the Browns flying to Colorado to talk to Coach Prime, about coming to the Browns to coach his son! Yes! Coach Prime staff in Colorado is NFL ready! the GM and Coach are piss at Q Judkins, he really F Up stuff a lot! the owner is going scream from the mountains Shedeur Sanders is my guy! the GM and Coach of Browns have a tough road to travel. the NFL is a business! Shedeur Sanders brings a ton of eye balls! All of his college games were on national tv. Now Shedeur Sanders the 5 round pick, is by far the most popular player in this draft!!!
Just trade Shedeur and let the Browns keep losing like they are used to doing.
I hate to say this . I hope next yrs QB's suck ****, because they are so sure there's a Franchiser is in there. We have no time for losing
What about stafanski, how long are you allowed to suck… just like the Giants coach. These so called q B gurus are allowed to lose, two years in a row… when it's clear they're not very good coaches ..
Just trade Sheduer to a team like Indy Browns can have their guy Gabriel be a bridge to next years quarterback lol I guarantee they draft some bum like Mitchell Tribusy or Blaine Gabbert .
Browns are going with the quarterback who can process faster 😂 Browns would start Gabriel over Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow because Gabriel can process faster accuracy ball placement poised in the pocket means nothing to the Clowns just say we drafted Gabriel in the third round talent doesn’t matter Berry can’t be wrong matters more process faster for short passes and 13 points a game 😂.
Makes good decisions.
Makes those decisions quickly.
The two penultimate features of every Hall of Fame quarterback regardless of all else.
He hasn't developed a SINGLE player but suddenly he's going to? 😂😂😂😂 He is 💩
Why do you keep saying Pickett doesn’t turn the ball over? 15 tds to 14 INTs with 7 fumbles. What next gen stat is telling he doesn’t turn the ball over? 3:1 is good. 4:1 is great. 1:1 is dog s***
I’m 66 born in Youngstown. Graduated from OU in ‘81. Been a Browns fan for 66 years. I don’t understand. The coach and gm always over think stuff. They keep doing everything except WIN. DON’T OVERTHINK Sanders. Hope we get lucky! I’m trying to see my beloved team reach a Super Bowl before I die. Stop playing games and start playing THE GAME! PLAIN DEALER , DON’T ‘trash’ anyone on this team until you see them play! Be a Journalist (like they taught me at OU). Have some OHIO and BROWN’S PRIDE. Enough.
Yall saw one pass batted down by Mason Graham who was the best lineman in college football the past 3 years
Look at all these clowns in the comments, If you honestly think Shedeur has ANY chance of starting week 1, you my friend are clueless and dont know squat about football, Pipe down ladies, he was a 5th round pick for a reason. No teams wanted to draft him. Daddy is not here to make sure he is QB1 lol. Be sad and cry all you want, But know that i am right.
Gabriel can't throw more than a 15 yarder everything over the middle ,or check it down to RB, Sheduer can make ever throw on the field, Gabriel can't throw down the field
Minus G. Bush the other guys are doo do.. dont know shit about FOOTBALL
Flacco is just getting free money, before he turn into a QB coach.
Everybody has ran with this narrative that he holds the football too long. Statistically he does not hold the football that much longer (he was #9 among QBs who had at last 200 drop backs) than other people who played last year . He also spent a lot of time at Colorado creating and extending plays because he was primary on offense because they had no run game and they also needed to have a winning season. You people are playing a game of telephone! Cam Ward (#1 pick) averaged TTT 3.11, Shedeurs 3.18 comparably and Cam was literally behind a top 10 OFFENSIVE LINE.
This is a horribly bias show. Who just lost my viewership. Bush won't stand up for #12 like he does on his own show. To me that's a problem. #12 is the answer. I hope you all keep the same energy come season start. #12 will get this team to the playoff… #12's intangibles makes everyone better around him. #12 is a winner and will win. ALL OF YOU KEEP THAT SAME ENERGY…
Kenny Pick6 doesn’t turn the ball over? He is 15–14 TD-INT in his NFL career 😂 also did you not watch the Philadelphia Eagles game last year where he threw the ball into the ground and Saquon Barkley saved it from being a turnover? He was almost 15-15 😂 this MFer is a joke!
Why us evryone trying to make this guy out to be smart. The Browns will Muck this up
