Jets’ Vilardi feels at home in Winnipeg after signing six-year contract

Glad to get VIlardi as one of the players who just loves it here. Glad to have you back!
I’m glad to hear his girlfriend feels at home in Winnipeg too, as a girl coming from LA. Sounds like it was hard at first, but it’s such a relief to hear they’ve adjusted and enjoyed their time there.
Buddy we’re already saying that’s a great contract
I love this city and will advocate for it as much as possible but I also think Winnipeggers and the media that caters to us can be a little needy when it comes to fishing for people not originally from here to say something nice about it. He just signed a 6 year contract, does that not say enough? Every media person also has to ask him about the city specifically? Players don’t want to come to Winnipeg is largely true but staying has never been a problem, and I think the hyperfocus on that narrative is a call coming from inside the house. I hope collectively we can become more secure about and not feel slighted when road players don’t like the small strip of downtown and the drive from the airport they’re exposed to.
