Tank Talk: Quentin Musty

All right, Quinn, welcome back to San Jose. You got a taste of the Barracuda late last season. How much did that experience kind of stick with you in the last couple weeks and months and maybe gives you an idea and a vision of how your career is going to go moving forward? Yeah, I mean it was year eight to, you know, get that experience and uh, you know, kind of see what I have to do better and, you know, the things that work at this level as well and just uh, you know, trying to evolve my game around that and uh, you know, obviously that’s you know, the AHL and there’s obviously another jump to the NHL. So, you know, hopefully just working to uh you know, get to that level and, you know, take those things that I learned and, you know, roll with them. I’ll ask you this question because I I know you’ll have a good answer. It’s not necessarily just about you, but for all the guys here in development camp, you’re trying to be coachable, I suppose, right? You’re trying to soak in as much as you can. What does it mean from the player perspective to be coachable? Yeah, I mean, I think it’s just, you know, you don’t always have to be asking questions, you know, stuff like that. But obviously that helps if if you do, but just uh you know, taking everything in, just being a a good listener, you know, um just being a sponge out here and you know, just listening to everything. You know, there’s a lot of people with you know, different types of experiences and you know, on the hockey side, on the you know, gym side, nutrition side, even just life side. So just, you know, taking in all those things and just yeah, just trying to you know, remember all those things and you know, put them into your life and adapt to those things. Can can coming here and kind of being around that and seeing that can it make you more of a pro if if that’s a thing? Yeah, I mean it’s different. I mean there’s uh you know it’s development camp so it’s you know all the kids are in the you know we’re all in the same spot and you know just trying to learn as much as we can about you know playing here and you know being a part of this organization and yeah I think it’s just you know everything helps you know just uh you know they pay attention to detail here in this organization. They have people for everything. So, just uh you know, learning from that. One more serious question before the fun stuff. As for next year, wherever it’s at, does it matter how the season goes or where the season is for you? Like, you want to take some steps obviously, but you also want to have some success at the next level, too. Yeah. I mean, obviously, my goal is to play in the NHL. You know, every year since I’ve been drafted, that’s been my goal. And, uh, you know, hopefully I’m ready to make that step. And, you know, I’m going to do everything I can to, you know, be ready for for training camp here. But, uh, you know, whatever the case is, it’s, uh, it’s going to be a, you know, a growth year for me, no matter where it is. So, I’m just excited to, you know, get back here and, you know, get started on that. All right. Great way to put it. Let’s get to the fun stuff here. Uh, got 16 different choices. Let’s start with this. You play Chell? Yeah. Uh, all right. So, when you do, be honest. What team are you? What team? I play a lot of online. Uh, like, yeah, stuff like that. But uh yeah, for online verses and stuff and you could it’s okay if it’s not the Sharks team. It is the Sharks for Ultimate Team, but uh you know when I’m playing, you know, they don’t give all the credit to the players that are on the Sharks, so their team’s not very good in it yet. Yet not yet. So yeah, I like playing with uh Dallas is usually who I play with there. That’s that’s fair and good honesty. Um, favorite show that you’ve binged or watched or streamed, not only lately, but ever? Like, what’s the all-time best show series that you’ve watched? I don’t know. I watched uh this one that just came out recently. It’s called Waterfront. That was a good one. Just came out on Netflix, but uh all time um probably The Office or Breaking Bad. Oh, yeah. Oh, I like those. Those are just classics. But can you believe I didn’t watch The Office until a few years ago? like all of I I binged all of them at once, but I didn’t see them when they came out. Yeah, that’s Yeah, that’s tough. But all the memes made sense all of a sudden. I finally got it. Oh. Uh all right, last one here. Is it ever okay to go to bed with your socks on? No. No. Unless you’re like at a cabin or something. It’s cold. Camping maybe. Absolutely not. All right. All right. That’s not okay. Fair enough. All right. I’m glad we ended it like that. Quinton, can’t wait to see you again soon. Thanks, buddy. All right. Appreciate
