MLB Highlights | Yankees vs. Blue Jays – July 21, 2025

You don’t want that ball moving any more than those guys on the mound can already do that. Well hit ball to right center and off the wall. Kirk is on his way to second and in there with his second double of the night. The bases loaded now. A leadoff double and Davis Schneider bounces one to the left side. his chances a little bit better against Rodon. Barger of course can be in there against lefties as Clement lifts a highf fly to left but it’s going to be caught and for the second time tonight the Blue Jays will leave the bases loaded and you get days off in the playoffs. You play two, you get a day off. Anthony Vulpi will pop one up. Shallow right. Jimenez called off by Lerido. and hits a fly ball to deep right field. Loper Fido back and will make the catch just shy of the fence for out number two. Runner goes. The throw down will skip into center field and on his way to third is PZA. So that’s going to be a stolen base and a throwing error on Alejandro Kirk. And again the 2- two and it is popped up. It is playable in foul territory and it is caught by Kirk and this is hooked to left field and it’s into the corner. Springer is in to score. Guerrero is getting the wave and he’ll come into a two-run double for Bette to give the Blue Jays the lead. A high fly to left center. Bette setting up possibly to tag. He will take a couple of steps and then watch the throw come in. [Applause] And now pops it up. So Rodon is going to win it. But big picture, Schneider sports in a nutshell right there. That’s a lot of fun. Straw hits one down to third and a wide throw will get past Goldmid and Bette will come in to score. It is three to one. Grounded to short. Bulpie’s got it. Woo! And safe at first. It looked like Goldmith picked it, but it popped out of his glove. And another run is in to score. And the swing and a miss. Lido strikes out. The inning is finally over. [Applause] And strike three called right at the knees. Got him. Kevin Gosman is dealing six strong innings here tonight. He was his own worst enemy. He walked five. [Applause] Ground ball to third. PZA for out number one. And a broken bat. Rounder to third. Barazza throws Springer out. Two down. Ground ball to the right side. Chisum up with it and throws Bashette out to end the inning. And a high-fly ball to left field. Schneider back into his left. Makes the catch shy of the track. One down. Little dribbler back to the mound. Gosman throws out Vulpi. And that’s out number two. And he got him. Strike out number eight. Three up, three down. Seven great innings for Gosman. So John Schneider can start rolling some left-handed bats. [Applause] ground to third. Kirk retired. [Applause] That stays fair and Barger is retired. Three unassisted. This is poke to right and it’ll be caught by Judge to end the inning. [Applause] [Music] on the appeal. He went around and that’s a big first out here in the eighth. [Applause] [Music] Swinging a miss. One down. Kyle two down. Ball game. Jeff Hoffman comes in and blows the Yankees away. He strikes out the side in the ninth for another save. And the Blue Jays beat the Yankees again. 11 in a row here at home. [Music]

Kevin Gausman allowed only 4 hits, dealing 8 strikeouts through 7 innings to help lift the Toronto Blue Jays to a 4-1 victory over AL East rivals the New York Yankees.

  1. You'd think if you're posting highlights for the game, it would include the start of it where the other team scored…. Who edited this to start in the 4th inning? Should probably bring this up to them.

  2. Jays only 1/2 game back of Detroit for 1st in the American League. And the Jays play 4 against the Tigers right after they play the Yanks.
How can any of us fans not be excited right now. Let's Go Blue Jays!!!
