I have gone back and forth a lot between Seattle and LA but I’ve had LA as my second team for longer. I like how they play defense and how they do zone entry.

  2. The Bolts are my #1 and no one else is close, but I live in Chicago so I do also root for the Hawks as long as they’re not playing the Bolts.

  4. Gotta be the sabers, they have never really bothered me since they’ve always been bad and the fanbase isn’t bad either

  6. Bolts are my top team always, though I do root for 7 other teams, Capitals, Jets, Sharks, Stars, Kraken, Mammoth, and Wild

  7. I like Seattle. I dig jerseys, logo, wack mascot and the notion that their fans are Krakheads.

  8. Dallas Stars as I have been living in Dallas for over a decade. Different conference, cool goal song/chant, pretty well run franchise lately.

    Though the 2020 Cup makes it a little awkward at times with hardcore Stars fans 😂

  9. Used to be the Coyotes but since they went away (obligatory fuck Alex Meruelo) I’ve been kinda floating around a few teams

  10. Tbh for me its anyone but the panthers cause i truly love the game but primarily my other biggest favs are the stars, avs, devils

  14. Chicago (liked them before my move to Tampa) and Minnesota (good people, can’t win in any sport) get my support.

  15. I’m from Colorado so the avs are my #1 but I lived in Florida for some time so I like the rays and bucs a lot more than the Rockies or broncos, the 2023 Stanley cup final was a very conflicting time for me. 🤣

    Also am a fan of the Avs, but mostly the old guard: ’96 SC team Sakic, Forsberg, Roy, Deadmarsh, Foote, Ricci and mf Claude Lemieux! They beat the Cats in the final that year 👍 I will admit the new team with Mac n Makar are super fun to watch

  20. I’ve lived in LA for twenty years now, so I’m down for the kings. But with them it’s purely hockey appreciation, I only feel true fandom with the lightning, my hometown team.

    Always had a soft spot for the blues.

  22. The Blues. Mom is from St. Louis and I’m a huge Cardinals fan (Rays didn’t come around until I was 11). Had a cool run along with Patty 19-21 haha

  23. Oilers. We also like to check in on Stamkos occasionally and follow certain rookies with potential, like Connor Bedard.

  25. My dad’s side of the family are all from Philly, so when they’re not playing the bolts, I root for the flyers. I also like Winnipeg, they’re my Canadian team. And back when I used to play the NHL games, my player got drafted by the kings, so I grew kinda fond of them too.

  33. No, I don’t really believe in having “second teams”. I will pull for teams that will help the Lightning in the standings but that’s it.

    Bouy, because he’s awesome, I love Seattle, JT Brown and his wife are awesome humans.

    And a part of my millennial heart will always cheer for the Mighty Ducks.

  35. I don’t really have a second team but I’m excited to see what the sharks do. Their young players will be fun to watch

  36. The Capitals are in a tier of their own. At first it was just Ovechkin’s love affair with Putin but their owner erasing CapFriendly and worsening the game for millions of fans just as some sort of power move to inconvenience a few GMs, blacklisting journalists for reporting openly on Ovechkin, and literally selling to the sovereign wealth fund of a state sponsor of terrorism is the NHL analogue of a cartoon villain.

    Then we get to the teams I actually hate for hockey reasons, and that’s Florida, a big gap, Vegas, Toronto, and Boston. The Avalanche are on the borderline.

    On the other end, I would love to see the Hurricanes accomplish something and the Oilers have been my western team for a while.

    Also, I love mammoths, so Utah might be added to this list. I’ll know by Thanksgiving/ Christmas.

  38. I’ve lived in NYC and California so Rangers/Sharks but that was only when I lived there. Now it’s Bolts only

  40. I’m primarily an oilers fan but tampa bay is second and i also really like Utah with their logo and everything
