Monday Mashing | Royals Bombard on the North Side

Ryan Frazier start the game. His 19th appearance missed a bunch of time earlier with an injury. He’s not allowed a run since June 1st and he has dominated everybody but really the right handed hitter is really check swing roller back to the mound. One pitch one out batting second is Bobby Jr and he steps in now throws out the fastest guy in the big leagues. Bobby Witt Junior sold two down and now many Patino the next swing and a Miss ryan Brazer works 123 and does it very quickly. Lefty Noah Cameron has a test against the Cubs today. 12 starts for Noah Cameron in his rookie season. A sparkling 231. Er A he’s been even better if that’s possible on the road. Got him flailing strike three pretty good start for Noah run away from kyle Tucker and he’ll take that first pitch. Pop up any day. Kyle Tucker sends it to the clouds. Michael garcia in the full powder blues is right there for the out Suzuki. Now the center fielder you walk into this place and you feel it’s an automatic strike on Suzuki pitch timer violation. Here comes craig Counsell looked like he was hurt, something was bothering him a little bit fouled the ball off. Craig is saying a little end of one, there’s no score and that is out. Number two brings up Cag Leone Jack hitting 146 with 20 hits and four home runs. Cag Leone goes the opposite way toward the Ivy over head into the basket. That’s a home run for Cagle in Wrigley field. He clears the Ivy and gives the Royals an early 10 lead. And those up here again, that’s beautiful live shot on that hook and the ball wasn’t the only thing that landed in the basket. A couple of fans did too. What a shot. That’s one thing that’s been missing in his hitting, going to the opposite field with power. We’ve heard it there. That was a beauty. Carson Kelly getting set to hit. It’ll be Kelly that Hamptons wants fly ball left field that one back, rain near the wall and that one is gone. Carson Kelly and we’re up 11. This game is at one and if the win stays the way it is right now, we’re going to see several home runs tonight, but it got blown a good 20 ft towards the foul pole. It ends up a point for the Cubs , a man aboard as Dansby reaches on the line drive base, hit down the left field line, kicks off the side wall and Swanson will stop at third turner is into second and the Cubs are in business with two outs. Big opportunity here for Shaw 21 high fly ball towards the left field corner. That one’s got a chance. That one is Matt Shaw and just like that, the Cubs have taken the lead. It is 41 now, good game planning by the Cubs hitting coaches and I watched film earlier. You could tell the hot spots all inside to the right east to the right end of the inner and they have been on time with that fastball and the slider inside. Shaw’s on time with this one and just hooks it around the foul pole for a three run bomb. It’s a two ounce single a man at first in the batter. Now is Salvador Perez. Salvi lives one deep left field happens, Suzuki are back. It’s gone into the bleachers. Salvador stays in Fuego, a two run shot to bring the Royals within a run. That is his seventh home run in his last 11 games. He’s definitely driving the bus all that gets them right back where they want to be within striking distance. Rave at first brings up Kyle Isbell one big bounce over Shaw that’s left field raves over to second Isbells on at first. He extends his hitting streak to seven games and now the Royals turn the lineup over. It’s an Indian to the plate flare down the line, it sinks in. Fair. Here comes Wade to tie the game. India’s to second. He’s in safely with an RB I double. That’s what we’re talking about. A leg double, get that dugout, not bench fired up. That’s a great hit. There got a fastball in on his hands. But like you said, he, he, he recognizes the, the run producing situation and he comes through. So now the Royals in great shape which with Patino and garcia coming up. Yeah, Brown’s close. Here comes his bell. No play for Horner and the Royals take the lead in the fifth. Any time the pitcher touches the ball, that’s especially with Bobby, that’s a base hit all the way because there’s no way that that fielder can go one way and Then stop and go another way. Watch him. Look at Horner there. He said, 00, ok. But you can’t get him. He’s too fast and a nice RB I right there leg hit the 55th on the season. Look at how fast this kid is. He takes off for second pitches. A strike gets to center and now India comes in to score and Bobby goes to third, didn’t have time to say, take off whenever you can and he certainly did and throws a little errant and that costs him nice little rally. Yes. The importance is the bottom of the order tonight. The bottom of the order is getting on base to the top. It’s a stolen base for Bobby Wid Junior error. On the catcher, Carson Kelly and now Bobby’s at third with still only one out for B Pasquin that gets away. Here comes Bobby another run seven of four in the fifth. It is unraveled for Ben Brown and the Royals have taken advantage. Nice job, John Rave leads off the Royals seven. They all pitch the Rave and he drives it deep in the air right center field headed for the bleachers and gone a Wrigley field home run for john Rave. Storybook stuff. It’s 8 to 4. There it is number 16 on his back is working and he knew it on contact. Congratulations John. You just homered in the ballpark. You grew up in goosebumps. Michael Garcia leads off hitting number eight with a double and up comes Perez Saldi drills another one deep left center field to the bleachers and gone. Wrigley for Salvador Perez for captain. He is scalding hot and I told you that cutter is gonna get hit if it stays in the middle. Sure enough, Flexen served it up and the captain says I’m going safe way three straight aboard against Flexen in the eighth, two straight games. Now that comes bullpen has really collapsed. Nick Lofton right handed batting second baseman steps in and there’s 1/12 hit. Second hit of the night for Nick Lofton. Cag Leone goes first to third. Nice to see the big man run and stay hot. Nick second hit. Still nobody out up comes john Rave and john tonight, one out of three homer. His last time up another hit and another RB I for John Rave, it’s his party tonight in Chicago. Make it 11 to 4 Royals in the top of the eighth. First to third, put him at third. That big breaking ball. He stayed right with it. How about the short compact swing? Very nice that brings up is Bell kyle, two out of three hit ball in there for him is Bell gets jammed but he gets a parachute, single bases loaded. IBS got three hits tonight, don’t you love it. And now Bobby is loaded one out grounder to short one out at second. Really? A first win beats it out. A run scores raves in to give the Royals 12 runs tonight a new season best. That’s the effort you’re looking for. And that’s called respecting 90 feet Shaw with his second knock of the game stopping at second is Busch and back to the top of the order instead of Niko Horner , vidal, Bruja is going to get a play to Paris. Here’s a grounder. Tolbert’s got it flip to garcia one on to first for two and the ball game is over a season best , 12 runs for the Royals at Wrigley tonight and they take game one of his three game set 12 to 4. What a game offensively they picked up Noah Cameron after Cameron gave up four runs in the second inning. It looked like. Wow, here we go, offense has been struggling. AAA not tonight, they put up all kinds of runs. I mean, season high stuff.

Salvador Perez’s scalding hot month continued as the Captain blasted a pair of home runs to back Noah Cameron who battled through 6.0 innings to earn the win in Game 1 of the series against the Chicago Cubs!
