  1. Interesting they gave April 2026 as the expected completion date.

I hope that isn’t just an optimistic fantasy. It’d be amazing to only have to play a few series on the road and have our home opener at the Trop. If I’m able to be there, I think I might cry lol.

  2. Of course we wait till the thick of hurricane season to start repairs in earnest…

  3. Not sure what I expected, but everything looks cleaner than I thought it would.

  4. I was in japan in April and went to a game at the Tokyo dome and it had an eerily similar feeling to being at the trop. It made me think at the time how there might be a chance I never get to go to the trop again. I still haven’t gotten to try Steinbrenner as i live out of town now and i can’t wait to try that experience, but im also happy we’ll get at least a season of the trop as a farewell before a new stadium hopefully in Tampa.

  5. I hope this is the final stretch for these guys. You can’t say we never got use out of the building between the Lightning and Rays. At some point soon the Rays play their last game and a long awaited (new) home is there to greet them. Just staying this into perpetuity isn’t the option Stu and St. Pete said it was

  6. Dear lord… look at the gross ass moldy water they are pumping out from the middle of the field 🤢

  7. This makes my heart happy! I know the Trop gets a lot of hate, but it’s one of my happy places. I have twenty two years worth of amazing memories there. I didn’t want my last time there to be my last time, especially since I didn’t know it was my last time. I need the closure, which is stupidly emotional towards a non-sentient place, but it’s a place where I have felt a lot of joy and I would love to have some time to say goodbye.

  8. I cant with that guy all the way at the top of the dome. Even looking at it is giving me the shivers

  9. They’re finally fixing my sweet dome 🥲. Can’t wait to be back in america’s ballpark next year!!
