  1. Color me gobsmacked that the Cubs were able to defeat the leviathan that ended the season yesterday.
That was an ideal game. Boyd wheels and deals. Our boy Dick Mountain gets to continue his climb of Everest to catch Moyer. Shaw gaining some confidence. Lugo’s gonna be tough tomorrow, but Rea has had some stopper flair this year. Get ‘em tomorrow boys and just keep winning series. Gotta stop scoreboard watching and just enjoy competitive ball.

  2. Now I would love for every team to stop rolling over for the brewers please and thanks 🙂

  3. Great game. Boyd was fantastic. Cubs played small ball and kicked ass doing it.

How amazing are the W flags and go cubs go followed by sweet home Chicago? What an amazingly awesome and uniquely cubbies thing.

  4. The best part about winning games wire-to-wire is the 5 usernames who show up in every game thread when we start losing to spam the thread with how all hope is lost are noticeably absent. It’s nice

  5. Yet another stellar outing from Boyd.
Swanson with some excellent D to save us runs.
Fantastic base running across the board.

Now we pray Kyle Tucker’s knee is fine and that Rea shuts the Royals down tomorrow.

  6. Seth Lugo will be a tough one but a great test for the offense before a series against the white sox

  7. Imanaga + Boyd are as good of a 1-2 as any team in baseball.

Can we trade for Lugo before 120pm tomorrow?

  8. 23 straight scoreless innings and counting for Boyd. He was locked in despite pitching 9 days ago. Great unassisted double play turned by Swanson to end the bases loaded threat in the top of the 5th

  9. It took me a minute to realize that was OUR Rich Hill pitching. That dude is like 45. He kinda reminds me of this guy.

  10. Yo, does Turner have on a pair of Sketchers slip-ins in the post game interview? Boss

  11. Ok, here we go again…Seattle has a one-hitter going thru 6, but still scoreless.

Surely the M’s will break their scoreless streak against the Brewers. And isn’t Cal Raleigh supposed to be a homerun machine? Help us out Cal…had no problem hitting all over the place at Wrigley.

  12. I like winning games on the basepaths and getting old school hits, some infield singles, bunts, etc. Makes you less dependent on the longball. With that being said Kelly missed a grand slam by about 10 feet and would have had it if the wind was blowing out.

  13. Very classy of the Cubs organization to let the brewers have first place for a day

    Respect.

  14. I was about to say if Vaughn is clutch for them again I’m picking a new sport
