Giants vs. Braves Game Highlights (7/22/25) | MLB Highlights

Great opportunity for Davis Daniel. No two ways about it. You heard Birdie talking about it. A guy born here in Atlanta. It’s got to be fun to be able to make this start now in this ballpark. And one down. Ramos really taking his time digging in the box there and trying to get comfortable. The 01 Ramos a swing and a drive out to deep right center field. Good carry. Akunia back. It’s over his head off the wall. A very long single but that ball hit hard. A nice approach and the Giants have their first base runner. Been a frustrating road trip for the Giants, but Devers at the plate has certainly been a bright spot. Two-2 ground ball to second. Could be two Azy to Nick Allen and Allen over to first base for a double play and that’ll end the inning. So that’s a 463 double play and come off the field, boys. That’s the third out. Rafie De’s getting ready to play first for the first time in his baseball life. 20th start of the year for Landon Ruth. Six and six record. Braves coming up with the first time. time. It’ll be Profar, Olsen, and Akuna facing the right-hander Landon Root. One, two, and Proofar swings and misses. He’s going to reach first base and caramed off the bricks of the back stop and rolled halfway down the third baseline. No shot for anybody to make that play. Matt Olsen to the plate. Runner at first base. No one out. Owen to Olsen. Pops it up off the end of the bat down the left field line. Ramos coming over right at the line. It drops in front of him. Fair. So just a bloop down the left field line. Ramos got close to it. Well, that just landed softly on the grass in front of him. So now first and second, put on your seat belt. Here comes Ronald Akuna. Akuna strikes out. He got him to chase the curve. Baldwin had a huge game yesterday. Drove in six runs. One was a gift, but still even take that one away. Had a big night. Two-2 is strike three called the fast ball right over the inside corner. Big pitch there from RP. RP has three strikeouts so far in the first inning and there’s two outs. Azie Alb’s now will come up batting left-handed. He swings at the first pitch. Hits a fly ball to shallow center. Jogging in his Lee. He’s there. He’s got it. And that ends the inning. Giants have a leadoff base runner. Here’s Matt Chapman. Chapman’s got four hits in his last two games. Looking more like himself. Hammers that one to center field. Harris going back on it. Still going back. And it is off the wall. Adam coming around third. He’s going to score. Chapman sprinting to third and he’s in there with a triple. The Giants take a one- nothing lead. Giants are asking for a minute just to check and see if that one got over the wall. Well, not the easiest one for us to see just because of that sunshine and the the weirdness of that little spot. I think that’s a home run though. Have to review. The ball remained in play. It is a not a home run. The batter will remain at third base. So, it’ll go down officially as an RBI triple. And now Wilmer Flores will bat. He pulls that one to left and that should be deep enough. Proofar is there. Chapman tags. He comes in to score. Even down 02. Wilmer gets it done. Do the job. Runner on third base. Less than two outs. Your job is to get him in. That’s exactly what he does right there. One out. Base is empty for Casey Schmidt. Now it is smashed to left field. A towering drive and it is gone into the Hank Aaron Terrace. Oh my goodness. Fifth home run of the year for Casey Schmidt. And that was no cheapy. Here is Patrick Bailey. Now Bailey drives that one out toward left center field. Harris can’t get there up against the wall. Just a nice swing opposite field. Giants have three runs in. And now they have another extra base hit. They lead three nothing. And the bases are loaded for Ramos who hit a long loud single off the right field wall. His first time up. The one pitch. He swings and lines it out into left center field. Harris though got a good jump on the run. He’ll make the catch. Tagging at third though is Bailey. He’s on his way home and he’ll score easily. It’s the second sacrifice fly of the inning. Give Ramos an RBI. One down. Let’s see if Nacho can get a board. Struck him out with a cutter. Fourth offering and he uses it to put away Alvarez. RP’s fourth strikeout. That brings Michael Harris to the plate. And here’s the pitch on the way to Michael Harris. And he’ll lace one out towards left field and that’ll bounce in front of Ramos. Had a knock for Harris. He continues to swing it well. Saw his hit streak of six games in last night, but starts a new one the ninth. That gives Nick Allen a chance. The one a swing and a bouncer off of RP’s glove, but it carams right to Casey Schmidt, who was moving to his right. He’ll feel the high hop and throws on to first for the out. Wilmer had a good atbat in the second inning. A sacrifice fly chance to do some more damage here. Struck him out. There’s the splitter to take care of Wilbur Flores. This one probably even finished in the zone, but mentioned it’s a good pitch for him. Fielder’s choice for Schmidt. And the inning will continue for Patrick Bailey. One-1 to Bailey and a line drive in the air to right field. Rattleuna drifting in. Makes a chest high catch. And there’s the third out. So the Giants threaten but cannot score. Murphy’s 0 for one with a fly out to left field and he gets the swing and miss on another curve. Strike three. What a nasty curve ball here. That is his sixth strike out tonight. Here is Nacho Alvarez Jr. playing for Austin Riley over at third base right now. Alvarez pops one up. We’ll see who’s going to call for it. Right in the middle of the infield, it’s going to be Casey Schmidt. And Schmidt makes the catch. I like the fact that De he very much looks engaged out there in the field tonight. So, two down. Harris lines one out into deep right center field. Mtos angling back onto the track, reaches up and he makes the catch right in front of the fence. Graphy DeS coming up. He’s had a quiet game so far tonight. Next pitch from Daniels. A line drive over first and a fair ball. That’ll get down into the corner. Picking it up in the corner is Akuna. He’s got the big arm. The throw to second is high. A rocket off the bat there of Rafie Des. And it’s a leadoff double here in the fifth. That’s the fastest I’ve seen Rafi Des run since he became a Giant. Maybe he’s a little more loose playing first base instead of sitting in the dugout or hitting off a TE between at bats. Thomas has walked both times up. Two pitch is a line drive base hit into left field. Right between short and third. De scores standing. Will Thomas with an RBI single. It’s 5 nothing Giants. I don’t know if there’s a tougher out in baseball right now than William Thomas. Missile into left field. Patrick Bailey, switch hitting catcher stands in batting left-handed. Right center. This one is going to be off the wall. Throw him out. Patrick Bailey safe. We’ll see if they review it. Well, the throw definitely beat him. I think it’s a matter of whether or not Patrick Bailey found a way to get to the bag. They are going to challenge it. though perfectly played by Ronald and a bullet here and a nice kind of one hop easy to handle for Azie. Oh yeah, right there. Yeah, it looks like Ronald is going to get another assist. After review call, the field is overturned. The runner is out. Ronald Akuna Jr. strikes again and that moves Ramos to second. I’ll just say this, if Suero leaves a cutter out over this might go far. It’s a good matchup for Rafy Devers. Swero to the plate. Deborah swings and a sharp ground ball base hit between first and second. Raml’s to third. He runs through a stop sign. Akuna’s throw is not in time. Rafie Devers with an RBI single and it’s 6 nothing Giants. And Elliot Ramos pulled a Ronald Akuna Jr. last night and ran through the stop sign to score. Call that a California stop. He just rolled right through it. That he did. There’s the first out. Wilmer Flores. One strike pitch. Flores swings. It’s a highf fly ball down the left field line towards the corner. Proar back at the wall looking up it is gone. Wilmer Flores hits a threerun home run. A towering drive down the left field line and he just was able to keep it fair for Flores. His 12th home run of the season. Third strike out for Seymour. Now the Braves are down to their final out. Struck him out. Nasty slider. That’s three strikeouts in the inning, four for the game for Carson Seymour. And Patrick Bailey liked that thing. He was impressed with that. I vote the Giants most improved today in all of baseball. A nine nothing win for the Giants in

  1. I continue watch how below average Ramos is out in the field. He just doesn't seem to get a good read and jump on fly balls. Luckily the bats were hot.

  2. Yaz can't start. We can't beat the Dodgers starting that guy. And Captain Korean needs to get his act together for the money he's being paid. The honeymoon's over, buddy.

  3. 11 days since the last Giants highlight video! Thank God football is around the corner, at least those highlights are once a week!

  4. 안녕하세요 한국인으로써 미국 샌프란시스코 형님 누나들께 죄송하다고 말하고싶습니다. 진심으로 죄송합니다🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙏
