Spurs Make ANOTHER SNEAKY Good Move!

First, David Jones Garcia last night. Now, Lindy Waters the third. I know, I know. Somebody’s saying, TSR, what are you getting excited about? I like what we’re doing. We’re going to talk about it. What is up, San Antonio Spurs fans? Welcome to TSR Sports. Hope you’re having a great day. And the Spurs now have one roster spot left after they signed former Thunder Warrior Piston Lindy Waters III to a one-year contract. I’m going to get into this article from Sports Illustrated. Then I’m going to give my thoughts on the move and what the Spurs have been doing collectively in the offseason. The San Antonio Spurs have not had as exciting an offseason as many people were expecting. Says you. Many thought that the Spurs will land either Kevin Durant, Giannis Auntie Dumbo or Jaylen Brown. Durant maybe. Giannis probably not. Jaylen no chance that his contract is huge at the last few years. did not see that happening. On Wednesday morning, aka today, ESPN reported that the Spurs are signing 27 year old guard Lady Waters third to a one-year deal. There is Sham’s Twitter right there. Don’t know the amount of the contract, but I assume it’s going to be between 3 and 5 million under, I believe, the MLE. Waters the third, a four-year NBA veteran, is coming off a 14game tener with the Detroit Pistons, where he averaged 3.4 points per game and shot an efficient 40% from three-point range, and of course, played with the Thunder and the Warriors. And that’s it with the article. It’s actually really short article. Going to be a quick update video, but I wanted to talk about this. Now, let’s give my two cents. He’s gonna be 28 this season. So, he’s a bat. And the bad news is first fans for some of you, and well, maybe a lot of you, he’s a guard. He’s a 6’6 guard, but he is a guard. So, yes, it’s another guard combined with, of course, David Jones Garcia last night. So, two signings are guards. Here’s the good news. Shot about 44% from three with OKC in 2324 and the 40% mentioned with the Pistons last season. So, he absolutely can be a sniper and he has played with some really good players, Steph Curry and SGA. Now, looking at his his um basketball reference history, there’s a lot of missed games. I don’t know if that’s for time or just because he was deep on the bench, but I overall actually do like this this signing. And why do I like it? What do we need going into this offseason Spurs? Three things, right? Size, shooting, and vets. We got the size with Luke and Kelly. We got the shooting with Kelly, Jordan, Lindy, and DJG. And now some vets. And some are going to say, “Well, TSR, where’s the trade for a bigname player or the signing for a big free agent?” Guys, our big players are here. Our core is here. We Fox, who we traded for earlier this season, Castle, and Harper. I like what we’re doing. We do have one more open roster spot, and I do think the Spurs should try to get somebody with some size. Some of you saying in the in the chat or I’m sorry in the chats the comments get bull. I don’t know about bulbo but it should be somebody that preferably is over well we got Olenick is what 610 I like somebody else a power forward maybe a stretch four if possible if there’s one out there. Um Chris Buchet still available isn’t he somebody kind of in that mix roster spot would preferably somebody like a stretch four. And right now Spurs fans I think we have a nice mix of our young core and vets a healthy balance. It’s not all skewed to just a ton of young guys and maybe one vet. It’s now balanced. We have balanced. We have championship experience with Luke Harrison and Kelly’s been in two finals. Hasn’t won a title, but has been in two. I love the direction of the team. I do. And I know for some of you, this is not going to move the needle, and that’s okay. This is reminding me of what the Spurs did back in the day, the championship years, where you have your you had the big three and then you just kept bringing vets in and out and surrounding with vets that could just plug in pieces and you just connect the dots, if you will. I love the direction of the team. We have more roster spot and I’m very curious to see what they do. But Lindy Waters, welcome to the San Antonio Spurs. Hope you don’t disappoint. And I I do like the move. I do. Is it a slam dunk signing? Depends on your perspective, but I think this off season’s been a slam dunk. And when we have maximum full power 100% ready to go WMY with year two castle with healthy Darren Fox amongst others with with players maybe with a point to prove Dell has been in the trade talk for a lot the last year you got to think somewhere he wants to live his contract. So I expect a bounceback year for Devin. I think it’s going to be a it’s going to be a lot of fun. And that’s all I got. That’s all I got. Just a quick news update. Spurs signed Lindy Waters a third. Your thoughts on this move and maybe your thoughts on the off season as a whole. Disappointed, as expected, or impressive? Most impressive. Hit the thumbs up to support the channel. 1. Im pleasantly satisfied with off season. Key is maintaining financial flexibility.

Thankfully, it appears we have moved on from Bassey

  2. meeeeh…
not good D, poor efficiency (50.4% true shooting last season).
Just a random who can shoot, nothing more… end of the end of the bench at best.

  3. We need a better SMALL FOWARD. Carter Bryant is still young. We need a VETERAN small foward. Idk who that would be rn, but we need more players with high level basketball IQ. KJ and Vassel lack that, I’ve seen plenty of times where they both were stagnant on the offensive end not to mention extremely inconsistent and defensively really suck honestly

  4. It’s very simple. Sign Bol Bol. Wemby can play point, Bol Bol can be the two guard, Sochan small forward, Olynik at power forward and Kornet at center.

  5. Vassel would fit into our plans, but he needs to change his game. He should play off the ball now and shoot a lot of 3s and play defense like the Spurs thought he could play when they drafted him. As of now, he is very injury prone, and I do not know if he is willing to go all out on defense.

  6. I love how we are building the team. I would rather build for many championships rather than trade everyone for a star and win a single chip. Spurs have the blueprints for greatness / longevity for sure.

  7. @tsr what does the intro music say about the giants? In my head I hear, "grrrs a Giants thing". Not being facetious, just genuinely curious.

  8. People asking about KD or Giannis are ridiculous.
Spurs have NEVER gone Big Game Hunting with a win Now mentality. They always build for longevity and Greatness Long Term

  9. What hurt the Spurs last season was no back up for injuries. They pretty much took care of that at every position. Heres what looks to be what's left out there for Center and Forwards.:
    Thomas Bryant Center/Forward 6'10" 248lb

Keion Brooks Jr. Forward 6'7" 210lb

    Jalen Bridges Forward 6’8” 225lb

    Chris Boucher Forward 6’9” 200lb

    Marjon Beauchamp Forward 6’7” 200lb

    Emoni Bates Forward 6’8” 202lb

    Dalano Banton Forward 6’8” 203lb

    Precious Achiuwa Forward 6’8” 240lb

  10. 7.5 out of ten for the offseason. Main thing i wanted to see is a legit starting power forward or centre to help Wemby with the bump and grind stuff. I love HB and think he's perfect for the 3 spot, but if we start him as power forward, I'm a gonna lose my shit! 🙂 Basketball is a game where 50% of all shots bounce of a rim 10 ft high in the air in a multitude of angles. Size size size will always matter. It's just playing to the analytics of the sport.

  11. I say the biggest news of the off season is Wemby getting the APPROVAL to play ….everything else is just extra cheese on the enchilada …..Go Spurs Go!

  12. I remember seeing Lindy play… I personally feel like this is even better than David getting signed. I wouldn't mind having Bol Bol on the roster either.

  13. SPURS IN THE EAST would absolutely be a beast, immediately. Unfortunately, they don't match up as well in the West, and the competition is historically fierce. So in spite of the new signings (all good), it might take 3-5 years to be in real contention. GSG!

  14. GREAT PICKUP! Lindy Waters when given minutes from the warriors and thunder did pretty good in my opinion! Good 3 point shooter. I like him!

  15. Good pickup! We need snipers. Our last spot needs to be a stretch four. I am thinking we are trying to trade Vassell, but there are no takers. And we are keeping that last roster spot open as we will likely do a 2 for one for Vassell.
