And it was good to see that because he foul the ball off his leg right around his knee early in the game. Trainers came out. I thought, “Oh god.” I’ve seen Todd Hollinssworth break his leg that way. He was out with a broken leg last year. Kyle Tucker with the Astros. And I thought that’s the last thing the Cubs need is to have their best player. and he is their best player. To have him out with a major injury, god forbid, when I see him steal home, guess what? He’s okay. And that concluded the scoring. The Cubs win the ball game 6 nothing and they’ll finish it up tomorrow afternoon with a day game and I’ll be in the bleachers for it. So, we’ll be doing our recap from Wrigley. The Chicago Cubs continue to ride the 🔥 hand of All-Star Matthew Boyd. Boyd was sensational once again, tossing 7 scoreless innings. He’s tossed 23 consecutive scoreless innings, the longest stretch of his career. He went up against 45 year old and former Cub, Rich Hill. The Cubs offense capitalized on sloppy defense from the Kansas City Royals, but Kap says when you get the kind of starting pitching they got tonight, it doesn’t matter cause they can beat anyone.   8. In a game with more than a few "highlights", one of the big ones for me,
    was Matt Shaw "dropping down" a perfect bunt for a basehit! How many times this year I've thought "doesn't anybody on this team know how to bunt for a hit"?! One of the most baffling things to me is that in all the years PCA has been playing the game noone ever took the time to teach him how to "drag" bunt down the 1st baseline!…with his speed he'd easily get 5 to 10 more hits a year! He "squares up" when he bunts and takes away the whole element of surprise! I hope Shaw set an example for the team! Boyd is "amazing"!..fun to watch! Great Game!…Go Cubs Go!!

Let me tell you something kap where would the cubs be right now if they didn't have Boyd in their rotation I mean my goodness hes been our best pitcher this season so far. Let's wake up tomorrow morning kap grab a cup of coffee ☕️ and find a way to win a damn baseball game. Take that

  10. Shame Lugo is pitching for the Royals tomorrow and not the Cubs maybe on Friday (as a stipulation in a trade not to pitch him vs them or something).
