So, could the Phoenix Suns be trading away Dylan Brooks to the Charlotte Hornets this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. But this trade would see the Phoenix Suns receiving Musa uh Diabate Taquan Jeff a 2031 first round pick and a 2031 second round pick and the Charlotte Hornets receiving Dylan Brooks. Now Dylan Brooks was one of the main focal points in the Kevin Durant trade a couple weeks ago. Now, uh he of course as well as Jaylen Green got traded with five second round draft picks for Kevin Durant and all inclination that they’re not going to go ahead and flip Dylan Brooks as of yet. Uh but with sort of a bit of a log jam at the guard position in Phoenix, would it surprise me if they traded away or rerouted one of Dylan Brooks and or Jaylen Green? At the end of the day, no, it wouldn’t. And if they’re able to get back some future draft capital as well as some roster players for this deal, maybe it makes the most sense because the Phoenix Suns don’t own their draft capital in the foreseeable future. So, it’s in their best interest as a franchise to not be completely awful, risk giving up a lottery pick to uh Houston for that matter and sort of get laughed at in the process. So, this trade probably makes the Suns worse in the short term, which is why I don’t think they do this deal. But I understand it if they want to recoup some long-term draft capital maybe beyond this year or Dylan Brooks could be an option uh for trade. So not a terrible idea for the Suns. I just think I just think for next year with them not having their draft pickets probably in their best interest to not be completely terrible. Now from the Hornets perspective, I kind of love this deal. I think Dylan Brooks actually fits in tremendously well with this Charlotte team. Uh you add him to a group that has Khan Canppel. He showed pretty well in summer league. He can be a superstar in this league. Uh they of course have Brandon Miller uh looking to get better when he was healthy last year. He was a pretty solid player. Uh showed some promise and of course Lamelo Ball and this team wants to make the playoffs next year. They want to be a playoff contender next year and I think Dylan Brooks helps them get there and adds a little bit of character and energy to their team as well. So I love the fit of Dylan Brooks going to Charlotte. So for those reasons, I think the winner of this deal to me would be the Charlotte Hornets. But as always, leave your thoughts.
