PGT: A never-ending parade of miscues and mistakes. What a mess. [F: 9-11]

  1. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a relief performance as bad as that one from Kevin Kelly. Certainly this season it has to be the worst. You’re facing a 36-66 team with a 2 run lead in the 8th and you give up 4 hits, 2 walks, 6 runs, and only get 1 out. I mean holy Christ. What a shitshow. Caballero on the mound would probably not have been that bad.

That’s not to say he deserves all the blame. It’s not acceptable that our starters this series went 4 IP, 4 IP, and 1.2 IP. I can live with short Rasmussen starts but watching Baz and Bradley continually struggle is such a chore. The lack of McClanahan really leaves this rotation punishingly rudderless

  2. Our two most painful losses this year have come from the Rockies and White Sox. The umps this game were brutal.

  3. We’re sellers at the deadline huh? Team just can’t seem to get everything going at once.

  4. The Rays are 3-8 this season on games before off days. Why does this scenario turn them into such awful players. Not even the first year of this trend either

  5. Fucked by umps and bad pitching. At least it was a novel way to lose, I haven’t seen the Rays do that before

  6. Dumbest loss of the season. White Sox were 2-46 or something like that when losing in the 8th or later. Just a completely unacceptable loss.

  7. This is the probably the worst pitching I’ve seen as a Rays fan. It undid all the hard work done in June, and now we’re probably going to be sellers as the FO lets these bums keep playing, knowing they won’t turn it around.

Can’t wait ’til new ownership comes in. We need change.

Also, I hope the ump union is busted. That was some of the worst officiating I’ve ever watched. Everyone in my engineering department would’ve been fined and fired being that bad at a job.

  8. Well that was fucking stupid and I hated every minute of it. See you all again in 2 days

  9. Loss is solely on Cash. Yeah Taj had a bad start but we literally 7 starting pitchers rostered and available. The only fuckup was going to the worst arm in the pen for no reason. An arm that should have been optioned to Durham to figure his shit out but we for some reason decided to send Orze down instead. Disgusting managerial performance.

  10. 9.2 innings out of the starters this series. That should be the story. Could’ve had prime Mariano, Hoffman, and Wagner in the bullpen and kevin Kelly would’ve still pitched the 8th tonight because they’d all be burnt.

  11. Honestly, I’m just going to blame the whole coaching staff.

Pitching is on a down falls.

Hitting is whatever we want to call it. Inconsistent? Just swinging at trash.

    Overall management is not great.

  12. Starting pitchers had 3 games against one of the worst offenses in mlb, filled with rookies and guys barely hanging on to mlb roster spots, and barely covered more than 9 innings. This is what happens when an already iffy bullpen has to cover 18 innings in a series
