Twins vs. Dodgers Game Highlights (7/23/25) | MLB Highlights
We got a beautiful day for baseball, blue skies above comfortable temperatures. So come on in for the Dodgers and the twins. The final game of this three game series, we walk him inside two games for now since coming off the injured list, both of them against the Brewers, a run over five innings in Milwaukee and a run over six innings on Friday against the Brewers. Last time he faced these twins, it was his fourth start with the Dodgers and it was a 14 strikeout no walk masterpiece in Minnesota. Last April killed right handed hitters. They are hitting 78. He’s only facing four of those so far in this lineup. One coming up to the plate right now, swing and a miss strike three elevated fastball and swung through it. Now, the had some difficulty finding the strike zone, the last number of games and now one of the lower percentages of first pitch strikes of starting pitchers this year, Castro launches a ball to right center field, hernandez on the track, get there missing pitches that was headed towards the dugout. So is glass now and now they have to regroup. Those are two blatant misses that is pushed in the air to right field. This should be routine for hernandez came in, lost his footing and had to go back. He recovered to make the catch for the final out. So it’s a scoreless top of the first for. That’s a familiar foe, chris Bat. The former San Diego Padre with the Minnesota Twins has done something in this series that never done before in his career home runs in four straight games. Everybody chasing big dumpers got 39 in a good situation to have a home run in five games in a row with the day game, center field headed for the seats consecutive game with a home run home run number 37. Once again, flashing the opposite field pop and giving the Dodgers a 1 to 0 lead ties the franchise record a home run in five games in a row 89 and one for the Twins against Tyler. Now Royce Lewis leads off and Lewis pulls it in the air to left down the line deep in the corner. This one to the and that is gone. A home run and Royce Lewis back in southern California and ties up this game in the third. It’s 11, Royce Lewis for the second time gets glass. Now he has a contagious smile energizes the team, the dugout first overall pick of the Twins more than a decade ago right here, Byron Buxton got him with a breaking pitch back to that. So he went slider, slider high fastball, kind of a waste pitch wasn’t a competitive pitch. And Then curveball, this is Luke to right. That’s going to fade and fall. A base hit for Castro. So the two out knock and for the twins today, I think two out hitting is vital. The Dodger bullpen, it’s banged up and that’s the final out of the third inning. So a two out base hit left on the bases by Tyler Glass. The leadoff bomb from Lewis ties the game at one in the middle of the third game home run a moment ago. Paddock to work in a 1 to 1 game will face hitters 9 to 1 to 2 out and, and struck him out. 95. Beldock has struck out three of the last four and so Paddock will face Otani with the bases clear and it is up and in and it’s a swinging miss strike. Three down goes Otani on strikes. Paddock fans a pair in a 123 3rd inning and Chris Paddock is now retired eight consecutive Dodgers strong start to the fourth inning for Tyler Glass. Now now cody Clements, he was the second strikeout of the afternoon on the ground to second nifty play by Tyler throws the ball. Well, it doesn’t get hit hard very often, but when it does, it’s really nice to have a fielder like Kim behind you glass. Now, ready here he comes got him with a fastball book ending case for glass. Now in a 1234 glass now to face Matt Walner and a strike 31 in the fifth six Ks, the third one on the fastball, the others with sinker curveball and slider Royce Lewis and that’s going to be a fair ball that’s going to find a side. Lewis are on first base on his way to second pas will fire not in time. So Lewis is two for two. A homer now a double and the twins have Royce in scoring position and that smile dance moves on display here. All right. A key matchup coming right here in a 11 game in the fifth. Go ahead run at second with two out and Byron Buxton coming out has gotten the better of him today striking him out swinging both times. There is a better curve to strike out Buxton. He’s gotten them all three times swinging halfway home and tied at chris Paddock gave up a solo homer to Otani in the first. He’s been really good ever. She one over the minimum face hung out to by Jeffers fastball. 96. Go ahead run aboard James out up. Paddock gives up a two out single. Nothing more. He’s a good one going for Tyler Glass now tied at one. He’s got seven K’s in this game number eight. Trevor did he go back to back the six and nine for the day? So now 32 pitch called strike three, that was several inches inside off the plate, but Tyler Glass now will take it as he strikes out the side in the top of the 6, 10 strikeouts for Glass. Now, one pitch one out for glass down in the seven glass now is telling dave Roberts good to go back to the mound as he nears 100 pitches. And this is a really encouraging sign on a number of fronts for the Dodgers. Now will try to get France and he does strike three, swinging. This one goes up to 11 for Tyler Glass. Now as in 11 punch outs, that’s one of the best breaking balls he’s thrown that started in the upper part of the strike zone wound up in the dirt. Here is the 12 Ks for Tyler Sensational on this Wednesday afternoon, back to back strike outs to give him 12 in seven strong. Danny Kula is on the pitch. We’re in the bottom of the seventh of a 11 tie kom facing the lefty Freeman, righty Pas on deck and Then the lefty rushing kom has been brilliant 1 to 0 with a 0.63. Er A and flexed into left leadoff hit Freddie and that’s how the day begins for the Minnesota bullpen as Danny Kula has taken over for chris paddock , Andy Pas, he’s zero for two is ball four just missed the top of the zone. The first two Dodgers are on to begin the seventh in the seventh inning two on only one out and Lo Varland is coming in to take over. Varland is getting news in all three games in this series had not given up a run since his first game in July prior to last night, but the Dodgers got two against him last night at 3 to 1 outside ball. Four load them all teams. This is the first real opportunity for either side like this tonight to bases loaded. Only one out game tied at one station to station. They go. Dodgers take the lead. Tommy provides it to the glass now. Seven strong, just one run on three hits, one walk, 12 strikeouts a new season high. He threw a career high 106 pitches, 69 of them strikes. Now Kirby Yates has the ball trying to preserve a 21 lead walk a stolen base, another walk , a double steal, another walk. The bases are loaded. Nobody is out twins down 21 and Dave Roberts is going to take the ball from a beleaguered Kirby eight Alex Vesia and his purple glove are out on the mound. Left hander bases loaded. Nobody out Willie Castro. The two hitters on left side Betts will go to second a double play. The twins have tied it as Ky Steps on home. So Bader has been good as a pinch hitter and when he’s been a pinch hitter, he’s been swinging early high chopper over the mound on the grass and Bader is going to be safe for the twins. Take the lead Brooks Lee scores and a high chopper over the mound. So Bader indeed push the ball forward into play and Lee scores and the wins have a 3 to 2 lead here in the eighth. First base is open and they’re going to intentionally walk. Will smith as miguel Rojas take that personally. Bases loaded two outs in the home half of the eighth, the Dodgers behind 3 to 2 and Rojas has been one of the better hitters in this lineup of late in back to back innings. The Dodgers leave them loaded and this time they get nothing 3 to 2. Twins going to the Griffins has 15 career saves none this season Joan Durant two innings last night, Soja has the chance for his first save today as he has a one run lead facing hitters 89 to one to the own deck circle. The Dodgers down to their final out up the bats try to keep their hopes alive. Tapper left side, he’s got a shot here in time. Show Hale Tony gets his chance Dodger stadium to its feet as Ruiz is the on deck hitter having pinch run for Tasca hernandez. If ever, there’s a time to intentionally walk the tying run into scoring position and the winning run on base, it’s now so the twins walk and that moves to tie run to the scoring position , takes the bat of the winning run on. But as Ruiz, remember not to Oscar hernandez. Thats at second the run. Otani at first, the winning run can Asor Ruiz be the guy to get him off of the deck ball. Four, Freddie Freeman will have a shot. Freeman has faced just one time. That’s the third, the run. Otan at second, the winning run lines, the bottom, you can’t get it. Dodgers win shades of the yeah breath hitter after hitter after hitter after hitter, four consecutive two out base runners and the Dodgers steal a win in the bottom of the ninth to take the series fashion.

Dodgers barely won this series against the Twins yikes their really struggling right now no repeat for them this year and their reasons no one repeated since 2000 either.
SHOHEI OHTANI🇯🇵⚾️3️⃣7️⃣
HOF
That's about as small a crowd you'll see at Dodger Stadium.
As Al Davis would say “ just win baby “.
A pitcher gets 5-Game hr streak is proving how insanely good he is 🎉
Awesome win
結局フリーマンなんすよね。フリーマン最強!!フリーマン最強!!
For a moment there, Bader seemed to give up on the play but then realized they're about to get walked off 🤣
Why would you hang an off speed pitch down the middle to Ohtani?🤣bro had to know he homered in every game leading up to it to
Betts struck out. End of game. Vegass wins again.
Freddie is the true legend, always deliver when the team needs
Imagine if Shohei Ohtani gets a home run in every game from now on for the rest of the season.
When I grow up I want to be just like Shohei Ohtani!
Very talented in what he does, extremely hardworking, and super humble.
Glassnow’s pitch at 4:40 is absolutely nuts! The ball bounced 3 feet before the plate and the batter missed by a foot.
Is this the moment the Dodgers get out of the funk they were in? Time will tell. All I know is that the series between the Red Sox and Dodgers is going to be extremely entertaining considering how the last 3 weeks for both teams have been a crazy roller coaster of highs and lows and the trade deadline is 7 days away.
Hope this ignites the team ahead
GO DODGERS 🇺🇸
Only thing Glasnow needs is health
Terrible unpairing but goes either ways and dodgers will gladly take it .
3ー1の振りたくなるカウントでルイーズは振らずに耐えた!
勝敗の大きな分岐点だっただろう。ドジャースもツインズも😮
If anyone knows, please let me know. I know many people have forgotten, but when is Minnesota Twins relief pitcher Daniel Duarte due to return?
Nooooooooooooo! Seriously?!! How can this be?! They were down to their final strike! How could the Twins let us all down like this? Terrible! Rangersforever❤
Baaa! Baaaa! Baaaa! I hate hate hate Andy Baaa-ges! Rangersforever❤
Ump bailed out the Dodgers in the end but it doesn't matter because the Twins couldn't finish it. just a heartbreaking loss this one was
