I think the new head coach will bring a refreshing energy to the locker room. I also feel like Faksa’s energy will be welcomed back.
I can see them winning the Central, but there’s a lot of talented teams. Dallas is probably the better team on paper, but the division won’t make it easy.

Winnipeg is a solid squad and has a chance to repeat. The goal isn’t the division, but getting back to the cup.
The central is a gauntlet. It is not their’s to lose, it is no one’s to lose. Jets, Avs and Stars will all be in the race.
They are probably the favorites but there are too many good teams in the central for it to just be Dallas’s to lose
The central is going to be a bloodbath like it has been for the last few years.
Dallas, Winnipeg, Colorado should all be top teams. Blues+Wild will at least be around (and optimistically as a blues fan, if we play the whole season how we did after the 4N break, we will be up with the other 3). Even if Dallas seems like the strongest on paper saying it’s there’s to lose is a bit too much imo
the central has 4 cup contenders (if the blues keep form) and 2 other playoff contenders with nashville as a complete wildcard
so no, it someones to win not lose
all this to be physically exhausted and lose to the oilers in 5 or 6
The Jets, Stars, and Avs will all be in the mix but give me the Minnesota Wild.

Even as a Dallas fan, I can’t agree that it’s the Stars’ to lose. Any of Dallas, Winnipeg, and Colorado will be a serious Cup contender, Minnesota is no slouch and St Louis was seconds from eliminating the President’s Trophy winner. I hope Gully successfully brings the physicality back to the Stars’ game plan and that might make for a better postseason run.
And then there some other teams.
The Central is the Thunderdome anyone can win on anyday in regular season
Looks like a pretty top heavy forward group after losing Marchment, Granlund and Dadonov and the right side of their defense is still pretty weak. Considering that, gonna say no.
