Another Level? Lamar Jackson Says He’s ‘Just Getting Started’ | Baltimore Ravens Final Drive

Lamar Jackson has a long list of accomplishments in his first seven NFL seasons. He’s a two-time MVP. He’s made the Pro Bowl four times. He has more rushing yards than any other quarterback that’s ever played in the NFL. Last season, he statistically had one of the best seasons that we’ve ever seen from a quarterback. Like I said, I could go on and on here. The list of accolades is long. But something that stands out about Lamar Jackson is that he is always looking for ways to improve. So he was asked today about whether he can take his game to even another level. And I love what he had to say. I’m only 28. I’m really just getting started for real. I just think it’s a great answer and it speaks to who Lamar is and what makes him such a great player. The other piece of the equation I think is that he’s not looking too far ahead. He is focused on the here and now. And that is a common theme in talking with players after the first day of training camp practice. This team knows there’s big expectations and talk and all of that, but they are focused on getting better every single day so that they’re in good position once this season begins. Lamar is really the leader of that. He talked about that today. Whatever it takes to get my team to that to that ticket, you know, to that to that big dance, but got to take care now, you know, take care of camp, get better in camp each and every day. That’s all I’m focused on. So, it was a great first day of training camp practice. It is good and exciting to have football back here at the Under Armour Performance Center. We can’t wait to see where this season takes us. Before I go, I also want to mention that we had a chance to sit down with head coach John Harval for an episode of the Lounge podcast that dropped earlier this morning. So, make sure you check that out. You can watch it on our app and our website and our YouTube channel. You can also listen to it wherever you get your podcast. Thanks for watching. See you again tomorrow.

As he enters Year 8 and coming off perhaps his best season yet, Lamar Jackson still sees room for growth.
