He was coming up through the minor leagues and into the major leagues alongside Torkelson, a fly ball to left field and there to make the catch Joey Loper Fido as the inning is over, but the Tigers have the early one to nothing lead one, nothing Tigers lead on AJ Jones. Home run two down bases empty. Dylan Dingler, that’s last to left. Dylan Dingler on the move to first Loper is there. Dingler wants second. He is in there standing up with a two out double little breaking ball. Dingler just gets it out. His body, no doubt about it right out of the box. Danglers hustling popped up wide of third in foul territory. Barger still going over to the screen has room and he makes the catch top of the third inning and the Blue Jays trailing the Tigers one to nothing still looking for their first base runner against joe leads it off for Toronto Chopper to second torres on the approach. Wagner takes first pitch fastball Lowe eight up eight down. Wagner shoots one into left center. That’s a base hit Wagner with a big turn and he’ll go back to the back. He’s got the first Blue Jays hit today perfectly executed approach a fastball away and just hammers that thing into the left center gap. Lucas second base torres, the end of top 31 nothing Tigers facing the Blue Jays in the top of the fourth inning. Vladimir Guerrero Junior digging in. He worked one of the longer plate appearances of the day but struck out looking in the first since this one to shallow center field that’s going to drop, that got in on him and he did not hit it off the sweet spot. The Blue Jays have just two hits so far off, but now they’ve got three lines it through the left side for a leadoff single swing and a miss or you can do that through a change up. Wicked man. The swing and miss on that changeup swing and a miss fastball him down above the zone. He is out first pitch fastball outside to Will Wagner at first with two outs, one nothing Tigers in the air left field. That’s Riley Green territory and that is five scoreless for Olson with just three singles. Luke Springer and guerrero. This begins the third trip to the order for one cold strike three that just swat buckled over the inside corner. Much to the dismay of Lucas. Look at this thing. Did he go? He did not. And that’s ball four as Springer takes a walk. So Springer aboard at first base one out and Vladimir Guerrero junior up, he has one of the three Blue Jay hits today and Guerrero lines it to left down the line of fair ball. Springer on his way to third and he’s getting the way and he’s going to, to score. It will be an RB I double for guerrero to tie the game reminiscent of his RB I double yesterday, Springer coming all the way around from first and the Blue Jays tie the game at one. Guerrero junior at third with the dangerous Addison Barger. It looks like Barger is going to get intentionally walked and he does not look happy about it. It’s Ernie Clement again. Remember there was the I A walk to get to Ernie Clement in Toronto. I mean, with Barger though, I mean, he squared up two balls off the bat at over 100 mile an hour for sure. Like he’s a guy that can hit one over the stands games on the line and it’s right on. Right. Well, hit ball to deep left and did he ever a three run homer in the Blue Jays have blown it open leading 41 in the top of the sixth and early Clement makes the Tigers pay a second time for walking the guy out in front of him. Now, Lodo with a high fly ball to deep. Right? And this one is gone. Clement and Lodo go back to back five to one. It’s a squirrel. It’s a rally squirrel. He’s back. You’ve heard of rally of the rally? This is the year of the rally squirrel for the Detroit Tigers. Lukes gets over to third base with one out which they will a line drive base hit into right for guerrero and it’s 6 to 1. They just continue to play the game the right way up and down this lineup off the glove of safe at second, safe at first line drive right center field and he’s gonna be ready for a while. Guerrero was in to score Bichette behind him. It is a triple for Barger to drive it a couple and make it eight to one. He got a cutter that was elevated, he stayed on it and he hammered that thing on a line into the gap for a couple of runs, a couple of RBIs and now a fly ball to left field, it’s pretty deep bar is going to tag , he’ll come to score. It’s a sack fly for Clement. His fourth RB I the night it’s 9 to 1 home. Half of the seven Blue Jays are leading the Tigers 9 to 1 as Eric Lauer takes the bump for 1/7 time tonight. There’s a swing and a miss a ball in the dirt. Heineman down to first back to back strikeouts for two down. Here’s We Perez and he’s popped it up and you know what eric Lau is doing, everything he can to beat the finish off this ball game before Mother Nature takes over a one out single here in the eighth inning and back around to the top of the order for Nathan Lucas who had a loop double down the right field line and now he hits one hard down the right field line. Will it stay fair? It will Nathan Lucas just obliterated that ball for a long two run homer down the line. It is 11 to 1. Eric Lauer steps on to the rubber in the eighth inning. 11 1 Blue Jays only 77 pitches for Lauer who’s given up one run. That’s strike three called. Two down. Eric LA faces Jai Jones, the only guy to really get to him today homered off him in the first strike. Three call gets the call at the bottom of the zone. It’s eight innings of one run ball for eric Flower. Chad Green takes over on the mound here in the ninth with 11 1. Spencer Torkelson, the ejector seat down the left field line for a late run. It’s off of Chad Green. It’s 11 to 2. Give the fans something to cheer about. First time tonight. They had two base runners on that brings up wins. Perez, nobody out a run in that anyone will ever see. There goes veering groundball, second base and there’s going to be out number one, Jimenez to first Tigers done their last out for Colt kit on the ground. That’s through. It’s a base hit. Here comes another, it’s 11 to 4 fling scores. The third run in this inning for the Tigers got a fastball on the outside corner to end the ball game and the Blue Jays will take the opening game of the Series by a score of 11 to 4, an outstanding performance by Eric Lauer Tonight.

  6. I was at the game in Detroit and there was a rally squirrel that passed me by in the front row. Afterwards, the Blue Jays offence exploded in the 6th and 7th innings. What a time to be alive! Go Jays go!

  13. Barger must be feeling pretty confident in himself for getting intentionally walked, and Clement must be feeling AMAZING for hitting that 3 Run Bomb right after.

  15. The Yankees wish they could be the blue jays or even half as good. The Yankees wish they could tie the shoelaces of the blue jays or make the Gatorade.
    Some Yankees are asking to be traded to Toronto but there's no room on the Buffalo Triple A roster.

  18. Was watching the game with my Mom and I said to her after Barger was intentionally walked: imagine they get a home run after that and get an extra guy in to score…five seconds later, it happens.
    Now they call me Nostradamus.

  19. Chad Green on the bump is slightly better than a position player throwing knuckleballs. He needs to be DFA'd once some of the injured pitchers return.

  26. lol I was kind of hoping this highlight package would have the Detroit commentators for the big hits, the way they were talking when the game started. But alas they switched to Sportnet everytime the big hit came.

    Please make some moves without getting rid of the main farm team talent or top 3 talent

    Also please resign Bo in the offseason he is the future of this team along with Vladdy

  34. If you told me at the beginning of the season this Jays team would be 1st in the AL on July 24th, I’d have thought you had some problems. A team I expected to be a waste of fans time and the pinnacle of mediocrity only prolonged by the Vlad extension has become a dream team, one that finds any way possible to win games. Consistency all around. They remind me a lot of last years Guardians. At this point the only real fear is that they’ll partake in Toronto sports tradition in October and choke in the playoffs, but for now, I’m enjoying every moment of this, def makes up for the Leafs losing to Florida again.

  46. The Blue Jays are for real this year, I predict will win the AL pennant, they dominated the Yankees this year and now blew out the Tigers the team with the best record.
