New Orleans Pelicans TRADE Jose Alvarado To The Denver Nuggets? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the New Orleans Pelicans be trading away JoseĆ© Alvarado to the Denver Nuggets this 2025NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Denver Nuggets receiving Jose Alvarado and the New Orleans Pelicans receiving Hunter Tyson, Jaylen Picket, and a 2032 second round draft pick. So, this trade not the flashiest, but it’s actually a pretty good move for the Nuggets to make in regards to adding more depth to their rotation. Uh, getting back some good backups and just truthfully kind of building on a weakness for them last year, especially come the NBA playoffs and that was just the overall depth of this roster. So, the Nuggets have made a really good uh uh, you know, bunch of moves this off season. Uh, they signed Tim Hardaway and Bruce Brown in free agency to minimum contracts. Hard to go wrong with a minimum deal. Uh they of course swung that trade for Cam Johnson for Michael Porter Jr. So that could be a really good move adding Cam Johnson to the mix. Uh if players like Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, Christian Brown are healthy and of course Nicole Joker still plays at a high level. I think adding a player like Jose Alvarado that can come off the bench uh provide some good backup minutes for someone like Jamal Murray. Perhaps if Murray gets injured, it’s a good first option to come off the bench, be a starter, and contribute right away. So Jos Alvarado checks a lot of boxes there. the flashiest player, but a player that brings a lot of value to the table. Has a tremendous motor and could be a very valuable player to this Nuggets team looking to win a championship next year. So, I think Alvarado plays a perfect style of basketball for what the Nuggets are sort of looking for coming off their bench. So, in regards to backup talent, Alvarado checks a lot of boxes. So, I love this addition for the Nuggets. Now, from the Pelicans perspective, it’s not the craziest trade by any stretch. I guess you’re turning one asset into three. So maybe that’s a pretty good move for them. But this team in New Orleans is a little bit confusing. Just I’m not too sure what direction they want to go. Clearly they believe in themselves because they traded away that draft pick to the Atlanta Hawks on draft day, which is crazy to me. But that could be a very good pick. I guess only time will tell. Maybe if their pro scouting department believes in Hunter Tyson and Jaylen Picket, then maybe that’s a good move for them. Maybe maybe they see something that we don’t. But uh yeah, the second round draft pick is a nice ad, I guess, but uh it’s in 2032. Way too hard to judge right now in regards to that pick being good or not. So I think without a doubt to me the winner of this deal would be the Nuggets getting back the best player by far. But as always, leave your thoughts.
