I hate to say it man, I really do, but it’s just tough. There’s more baseball to be played though.
We are so not back
The children yearn for .500 ball
Don’t even get me started on this line up…
-Aranda has had one great half of a season, defensively he’s shaky. I like him but not sure if this is who he truly is or if he’s just had a hell of start to this year.
-Walls is a late inning sub on any other roster
-Blowe is B for always broken.
-Jr has the makings for a cornerstone piece
-Simpson is special but need a larger sample size
-Morel is AAAA at this point
-Cabby is a good utility player but not a true starter at any one position
-Josh Lowe has had one good season and at this point it is the outlier. I don’t know if he ever gets back to that player. He doesn’t have anyone in this lineup to hit behind him to scare pitchers.
-Magnum is fun guy to watch but he’s 29 as a rookie who lives and dies with his effort and speed…
-Danny Jansen is a pro but he’s a backup at this point in his career. A really solid back up.
-Yandy is great at what he does but he’s not a guy you want at DH. He doesn’t produce a ton of runs.
This team needs a lot of help offensively that isn’t coming this year. The bullpen needs a rebuild. We don’t have a real closer. Pete’s strikeout rate is too low.
I will still watch the games, but with an eye toward 2026 😢
Full on accepted that this is just who we are. Too many things didn’t go our way this season between Kim’s health and Shane’s flukey injury. Brandon Lowe’s injuries just exposed how thin this offense is, especially with how shitty Morel turned out to be and Josh Lowe’s struggles.
Why did they even have a hot June if this is who they really are? Waste of time and investment.
I miss Randy and Isaac
The fall in July primarily relates to Brandon Lowe being injured.
In April, Brandon Lowe wasn’t playing well (although was unlucky based on underlying metrics) and Rays were scrapping by. May and June, Lowe played like an all-star which is why he got selected as such and Rays were rolling.
The Rays needed everyone to be healthy to be successful and that has failed miserably this month. Kim coming back might have been able to compensate it but he just kept getting injured too.
I think too many things are just going wrong, maybe things will be better once we have our stadium back
Man this season has been such a roller coaster
Hey look morel started and we lost as predicted befire the first pitch… anyways, trash performance, a change is needed if they want to win, but I dont think the team wants to win and the front office doesnt want to win as much as us fans want them to win.
at this point, canadian football or preseason nfl games are gonna be a better sports watching experience than Rays games
All this and the Rays are still only 1.5 games out of a wild card spot.
