And it’s going to start here as we head to Dyken Park for this match up between the Houston Astros and the Athletics. The Houston Astros sending out Hunter Brown for the start in this one while Jacob Lopez will get the start for the Athletics in this one. And Hunter Brown coming off of a a mediocre start in his last outing. It was four uh four innings, three runs allowed on six hits. Had seven strikeouts. It was ended up being a victory for the Astros in the end, 11 to three. But tell you, Hunter Brown just had a lot of long drawn out at bats. 89 pitches to get through those four innings. He’s really struggled in that outing, but I think he could have another, you know, a strong start. Nice bounceback start here. Now, Brown in his last two home starts before the All-Star break allowed a combined 10 runs on 11 hits over 11 innings of work. Three home runs, five walks. It was very unhunter brown-like in those starts. But this is still an athletics lineup that yeah, may have some decent numbers against right-handed pitching in the last two weeks, including the All-Star break. a nine 10 game sample size, but even hitting 251, the team OPS numbers are top 10. The isolated power numbers are top five, but they also have a strikeout rate of 23.2%. Hunter Brown has been outstanding at home. And I just think that this is going to be a um a strong start for the Athletics in this one. and uh for excuse me for uh for Hunter Brown against the Athletics. I think that you know this is just going to be a rough outing for for Jacob Lopez who historically has, you know, been decent for the Athletics. But the problem for uh for for Jacob Lopez is that the Astros historically have been a great team against left-handed pitching, especially at home. And I think that, you know, I just think this is a nice bounceback spot for him here. You know, Jacob Lopez, the last time we saw him on the road, it was five runs allowed on four hits, a pair of home runs, three walks that he gave up as well, over five innings of work against the Texas Rangers. And before that, against the the Rays at Steinbrer Field, it was four runs, three earned on five hits and a home run in three and a third innings of work. For me, I just think this is a Houston Astros lineup that’s very talented at home. They do some of their best work against left-handed pitching. They’ve been great against lefties in the last two weeks surrounding the All-Star break. So, I’m going to roll with the Astros and this one on the run line and that’s going to be my free pick.
