New Orleans Pelicans TRADE Dejounte Murray To The Los Angeles Lakers? | NBA Trade Rumors

So, could the New Orleans Pelicans be trading away Dejante Murray to the Los Angeles Lakers this 2025 NBA off seasonason? But this trade would see the New Orleans Pelicans receiving LeBron James and audio uh Fiero and the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Tjante Murray, Sadiq Bay, and Jordan Hawkins. Now, we all know that LeBron James is not going to New Orleans at any point throughout his NBA career. So, this trade hypothetically speaking is just simply that, a hypothetical. But kind of looking at it from the other perspective here, could DeJonte Murray be on his way out of New Orleans? Potentially. And if he was, could the Lakers be interested? Well, that’s a possibility as well. So, the Lakers are going to add some more talent to their team this off season. Uh, they sort of done that by adding some other players like DeAndre Eaton, of course, most recently Marcus Smart. So, a nice defensive anchor there, nice veteran leader in the form of Marcus Smart, as well as Jake Clarabia. So, this team looks a little bit different compared to how they sort of played last year. Um, DeJonte Murray’s a pretty intriguing player uh because when healthy, he’s a pretty talented player, but the risk is he hasn’t really been healthy the last couple years and that trade with the New Orleans Pelicans has been pretty disastrous so far uh for Dejonte Murray and the Pelicans franchise. But when this guy is healthy, like defensively speaking, he is a very talented player. So having uh maybe a second unit next year of Dejonte Murray and maybe Marcus Smart is pretty good. Defensively speaking, I think at this point for the Lakers at this offseason, it’s not a bad idea for them to add some more defensive players to the group. And as I mentioned before, DeJonte Murray a little bit suspect with his injury history coming back of a pretty big time injury this past year. So perhaps he won’t be the same. But uh yeah, this team in Los Angeles is set to compete for a championship next year. Now, keep in mind the Western Conference is pretty um you know, pretty good and pretty stacked. So, uh, maybe someone like Dante Murray, if they can ease him back from his injury and he can play some good perimeter defense, this could be a pretty good move for the Lakers to make. But at the end of the day, is LeBron James going to uh New Orleans? Absolutely not. So, based on this trade proposal, obviously the Pelicans would win this deal, but realistically speaking, could Jante Murray be going to Los Angeles? Possibly. But, as always, leave your thoughts.
