NBA LIVE! Golden State Warriors vs Miami Heat | July 27, 2025 | Warriors vs Heat 2K Preseason
Oh yes indeed. I mean we have a good understanding of who the real contenders are, but there always seems to be a darkhorse team that makes a push in the second half of the season. Anything can happen. And let’s check Miami starting lineup. Tyler Herro is out there with Norman Powell. Then it’s Bam Adabio. Then it’s Andrew Wiggins. And it’s where in at the pivot spot banning the middle. Well, in the twoman game, Adabio can play either role. This time he sets the screen, gets it back, and scores. But Jimky shot is good. Setting an aggressive tone early, challenging the heart of that defense. Here’s Hero. Pass to Adabio. It’s Pal on the wing. Wiggins outside. Adabio against heel. Hero for three. drops in the three. Well, we know Hero is more than capable of hitting those. He’s got limitless range outside Green. Back to Curry beyond the ark. No luck on that one. He is just so deadly from out there. You expect that to fall. Hero outside. Pass to Adabio. Now Wiggins down to five on the shot clock. Rebounded by Green. Well, that one should be in his wheelhouse, but just off the mark. Curry with it. He’s guarded by Hero. Back to Curry. Fires the three. Pure from three-point range. At this point, you’re almost shocked when Steph misses a three, especially from the corner. The Heat have gone two of three from the floor. Now, here’s Powell. His last outing, he had 20. Misses the three. Here’s Curry outside. Green outside. Heel outside. Curry, fires from way outside. Automio grabs the board. We all know he’s a good shooter, but from that distance, uh, I don’t think so. Yeah, it seems like everybody’s jacking them up from way out there these days. You want guys to stay within themselves. Warriors with the rebound. This their first look at this year’s Miami squad. These teams were similar last year, both at how they treated this head-to-head matchup and where they finished in the standings. Well, in terms of where they sit in the league, these teams are both in the middle of the pack, but both are looking to take the next step. What a nice read by Green. He’s got a basketball IQ off the charts, an incredible understanding of the game. And Grant, once again, Stephen Curry hit 300 threes last season and he’s in a class of his own. Well, there have been seven 300 plus three-point seasons ever. Stephen has five of them. He has the only 400 three-point year ever. So, yeah, BA Stefan has created his own class. 31. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And let’s check out a breakdown looking at some stats for Norman Powell. And his effective field goal percentage isn’t in the best place right now. Over the last five games, he hasn’t had much shot discipline. He’ll be looking to play a lot smarter today. And we’re approaching about three and a half minutes played in this first quarter. Lets it go from 14. The rebound by Wiggins. And Wiggins has got the ball here for the Heat. Trailing by two. They put up a nice win against Sacramento last time out. Oh my. Talk about mental toughness. The crowd was roaring against them. They were able to focus and finish the task at hand. Nothing is better than winning on the road in this league. It’s so difficult. You savor every one of those to the middle. It’s stolen by Curry on the break. Right side. Pajki outside. Curry takes a three. The rebound by wear. Another miss. He is struggling for the quarter. Powell outside. There’s a screen by Wiggins. Pass to wear. Clock at six to end the drought. And Powell with the layin. Yeah, so skilled offensively. Getting the ball in his hands is generally a good idea. outside. Pajki lets it go from deep. Oh, he can’t sink it. He’s 0 for three. The Heat have gone just three for seven here at the start. Pass to Pal. The 17-footer where controls the rebound and the put back. Real smooth, guys. Great job with the tip in. Those are the kind of plays on the offensive glass that can tell you a lot about a player. Now, here’s Pachki. He picked up 12 points in their last win against Sacramento. And with all the attention he drew offensively, he did a great job of just kicking to the open man. Aio with the rejection. That’s great anticipation by Dan. He sees the game so well, doesn’t he? Miami’s gone one to two from three-point land so far. Curry against Hero Wiggins outside for three. Pal is rebounded by Jimmy Butler. So far, rebounding has been a focal point for them. Pass to Pajimsky inside. It’s stolen. Hero against Curry. Pow. A screen on Curry. Hero for three. That one misses. He’s one for three. The Warriors trailing will grant the Miami Heat are as professionally run as any franchise in this league. Yeah. And certain numbers point to that. They minimize turnovers. They don’t commit cheap fouls. And they hit their free throws. So in other words, they don’t give anything away. And Jimmy Butler with the three. Yeah, Butler with the quick trigger there off the catch. Nicely done. Has to wear hero outside to the paint. The ball’s knocked loose. He’s in his comfort zone. Two for two to start this one. Pounding it inside early and often, setting a physical tone. Time now to hear from our reporter Ally Leforce. I had a chance to catch up with Steve Kirk. I asked him outright if he had a plan for Tyler Hero. Coach let me in on their strategy, saying, quote, “We just have to cause problems for him on defense, hand in the face, crowded, anything to discourage him from taking shots.” So, he hopes they can keep Tyler quiet by hassling him all night long. Back to you. Good job there, Ally. Thanks. Now, here’s Powell, a go-to option for this team. He puts up nearly 17 a game. There’s the three and Tyler Hero gets a three. And now a four-point Miami lead. I know Hero prefers to strike from the top of the key, but he’s dangerous in the corner as well. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. A moment to rest and confer on the game plan. Yeah. Hoping to tap into something that’ll get them clicking. Yeah. They just have to be more patient, less forcing and more passing. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And the Warriors making a change here. Moody’s checked in. Mitchell’s checked in for Miami. Miami on D. They lead by four. Outside Heel Green with a screen on Wiggins. Heel passes to Green. Wiggins outside over Heel. And Miami again with the bucket. With a bit of an old school feel to his game, Wiggins refuses to shy away from the mid-range. to end the run. Oh, plenty of contact on that shot. Officials call the foul and he’ll take two free throws. Now, you think of guys who play greater than their stats. Butler has got to be on that list, coach. Yeah, Brian, the competitive nature of Jimmy Butler is the stuff of legends. Sure, sometimes it can make it tough in certain locker rooms, but coaches love his passion for winning. Feels like a guy that’s built for the playoffs. Absolutely. That free throw misses. And coach, when we get to the playoffs, Jimmy Butler plays his best basketball. Well, Brian, look, it’s tangible. You see his numbers go up in the postseason. Butler’s been the number one option on multiple finals teams. That puts him in rare company. And he’s good on the second. And we’re joined now by Shams Girania. He’s calling in with a story. Good to have you, Shams. What’s going on? Thanks. Well, for the Warriors this summer, there was disappointment seeing their longtime trio broken up with the departure of Klay Thompson. But many around the league felt like with the additions they’ve made, this team is actually upgraded. So guys, we’ll see how they hold up in this crowded Western Conference, do Steph Curry and Draymond Green have enough? They’ll be challenged for certain. All right, CHS, thanks for the report. Five to shoot. It’s good. And he drew contact on the shot. So, he will go to the line. A three-point play opportunity. This is his second trip to the free throw line in this one. First personal foul. Second team foul at the line for Warrior. One shot. Find the lane. Find the lane. One shot. This guy is tough as nails. You love Butler’s competitive spirit to the inside now. Oh, he powers right through the defender for the dunk. Draws the foul, too. And he’ll go to the line. It’s going to go on Moses Moody. And a moment here to take a look at the scoring breakdown for the Heat. Well, the way they’ve been attacking inside is phenomenal. consistently getting high percentage looks and that’s what great offenses are all about. And from the jump, they’ve also clearly been focused on running effective plays here tonight. And there’s been a lot of high quality distribution from them on the floor. That one falls for Powell. Well, coach, how about the Eric Spolster story? Started as a video coordinator with the Heat back in 95. You were an assistant in Miami back then. Yeah, look, Brian, even then, Eric is one of the rare guys that all of us on the staff knew right from the beginning that he had all the makings of a great coach. Players trusted him and had confidence in his ability to help them from the video room to the Hall of Fame one day. No question. Here’s Pal. The Warriors getting their last shot to go and that one’s good. Yoic and the Heat lead by five. Getting enough shots in close to play inside out. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. Let’s go with a three. Al pulls it in. And the defense really respects his shooting ability and they showed it with that tight coverage. Slams it down with two hands. Man, they’re really getting aggressive now. Well, the Warriors shooting just 38% so far in this one. Here’s Santos. He’s guarded by Fonteo. Pass to Jackson Davis. Five on the clock. Golden State needs to get off a shot and he caught that pass in full stride on his way to the big slam. Well, he’s a bit of an underside center. However, his leaping ability can certainly mask that. Now, here’s Powell. He’s got seven. The three. The shot won’t fall. Yeah. And the defense has really got to tighten up on him. I mean, he’s just too dangerous from the three-point line. Moody, passes to Curry. Pass to Santos down low. Oh, and there’s the whistle on the shot. So, two free throws for him coming up. Well, Butler can keep you guessing on defense, and when you guess wrong, he’ll draw the contact and get to the line. This is his third trip to the free throw line in this game. Shooting two. First one falls for him, Stephen Curry. He’s checked in for the Warriors. And Miami also making a switch. Heroes checked in and good on the second. So he makes them both. Yeah, great effort tonight and he’s been rewarded with trips to the line. We’ve got 108 left to play in the first quarter. And a foul called on the way up. So he’ll take two from the free throw line. That’s on Jimmy Butler. And Hero is so confident when he’s looking to score inside. He does not back away from contact. And the first one at the line is good. Very versatile player. Hero spaces the floor. He can drive. He can pass. And he’s a sneaky good rebounder as well. Santos has checked in for the Warriors. And so hero nails both of them. Warriors trail by five inside. Oh, they pick off the pass. It’s an even threeon-ree break. A nice shot by Fonteo. Sees his man, threads the pass inside. Excellent teamwork. Well, the Warriors shooting the rock around 41% during the first quarter. Pass to Moody outside. Curry outside. Curry lets the three fly. Sinks the tray. Curry’s got six points. Look at how solid Curry’s motion is. Almost like he could have done that blindfolded to the middle. And there’s Hero on the assist by Mitchell. And the Heat lead by six. Two second difference between shot and game clock. Curry against Mitchell. Now here’s Curry. The D’s right on him. Down to five on the shot clock. A deep three. Can’t hit that one. And so the first quarter is in the books. It’s the Heat leading by six. And the second quarter is on its way when we return. And thanks again for tuning in. If you’re just joining us, we played through one quarter of action so far. And guys, what’s your take on Miami so far? Well, there’s no reason to take risky shots when you can collect points at the rim. Yeah, they made a point to get inside on this defense and it’s been working like a charm early on. Warriors trail by six. They’ve got Moses Moody. Seth Curry is out there with Stephen Curry. Then it’s Trace Jackson Davis. And it’s Santos in at the power forward position. That’s the group for Golden State as we kick off the second quarter. Curry is so skilled operating the twoman game. He always seems to make the right decision. Let’s check in with our reporter Ally Leforce. Well, the Warriors can be sloppy with the ball. Coach Kerr said, “I don’t mind turnovers that result from trying to make the extra pass. It’s the ones that don’t stand a chance to get through that bother me. If we just hit singles, we have so many playmakers and shooters that it’s all going to come out pretty positively. Brian. All right, Ally, thank you. Now, here’s Curry. He had a 36-point outing in their last game against Sacramento. That’s just a great pass. Excellent vision to see the open spot in the defense and lead him to the score. And Grant, we know the importance of the veteran leaders on a team, but not every vet wants to accept a mentorship role. Very true, BA. In your later years, that role becomes a blend of playing and kind of coaching. Not everyone is cut out for that. And that one misses the heap of the lead. Icemith passes to Hero. Second quarter of basketball. About a minute played so far. Puts up a three. The Warriors pull it in. Started out strong from three-point land. Hit two in the first quarter, but he’s gone dry since it’s out of bounds. Last touch by Curry. A moment now to see how the schedule is looking for the Miami Heat. On Thursday, they’ll go up against the Jazz in Utah. And then on Saturday, they’ll be matching up with Drew Holiday and the Portland Trailblazers. And for that game against the Lakers, that’s a game where you’d be surprised to see them lose. They’d have to have a really off night for them to get upset there. Now, here’s Mitchell. He’s coming off a 10-point game against Sacramento. Hero against Curry. Hero. The pass to Yoic outside. Mitchell. Hero for three. Santos pulls it in. Well, clearly it hasn’t been his best game offensively, but collectively they’ve still found a way to get the lead. Oh, what ferocity on the throw down. I just love when he goes up with purpose. Where was the D right there? The effort lacking big time. And with the score as close as it is, these are the opportunities you truly can’t allow. Hero against Curry. Oh, swiped away. Wow. Holding offense. It’s been fun to watch. Just aggressive and effective. Taking it right to the defense. Curry passes to Moody. Close in. Moses Moody. That’s been the story of their offense so far. getting a number of looks from point blank range. Hero against Curry and the ball out of play. The Warriors will have it. And we have a chance to take a look at the teams that are wreaking havoc with their defense this past month. In the third spot, the Warriors, well, you have to praise their defense over the last month. They’ve been working as a team to put almost constant pressure on opposing offenses. Just terrific stuff. The Heat making a switch here. Hakez has checked in and we’re just over two and a half minutes into the second. Curry rebounded by Yoic for Miami. They’ve got none of their first three shots to fall so far in the second. Outside Mitchell pass to Highmith inside. Here’s Yoic. No good. And they can’t put it into the drought. And Curry’s got the ball here for the Golden State Warriors. They haven’t allowed any points in the second quarter. Four on the clock. Oo, solid defense from Mitchell. Oh, you got to finish at the rim right there. You hate seeing those opportunities go to waste. Shoots from the right block. Tried to bank it in, but it misses. The Warriors leading outside. Curry. Back to Curry. Puts up a deep three and Hero grabs the board. Miami has gone 0 for three from deep to begin the second outside. Mitchell pass to Hakez. Here’s Yoic. Here’s Heismith. Still no points. Hakez finds Hero. The three doesn’t go for him. He is really scuffling this quarter offensively. Perhaps a little frustration setting in. Here’s Post. Pass to Curry down low. Now here’s Jackson Davis. Curry looking it over. Shoots over Hakez. Green’s checked in for the Warriors. Pajimsky comes in for Curry. Miami trailing and Eric Bolstra decides to call timeout and we might see some changes. Coach potentially looking to adjust. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And it’s the Heat with the ball. Still looking for their first basket since the first quarter. And he drives in to stop the drought. And that one goes in as he’s fouled. It’ll be three points if he converts the free throw. First trip to the free throw line for him tonight. Miami Andrew Wiggins. One shot. Wiggins. No good on that one. All right, Stan. you had it your way. Who would you want to see in the dunk contest? Well, Brian, look, I I want to go back to the glory days when the most recognizable guys in the game were the ones that participated. Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins. I think if we could get guys like Zion Williamson, John Mor, that would be fantastic. But it’s got to be the names out there that people know. And it’s the Heat with the ball. The Warriors getting their last shot to go. Clock is at three. Wiggins for three. Rebounded by Green. And it’s Green with the ball for the Warriors. They’ve only given up two points this quarter. Throw it down on the lob. The great read between those two guys. The defense didn’t stand a chance. Ba. These two teammates right here, Grab, they are connected. Now, here’s Hero. A 14-point game for him in the win against the Kings in Sacramento from the Ark. Warriors with the rebound. Jackson Davis has got five rebounds tonight. Yeah. Just hasn’t been able to find his rhythm offensively and that’s having a ripple effect. The kick out. Curry outside. Moody. Green with a screen on Wiggins. Moody from outside. The rebound by Wear’s got four rebounds now. Trying to find a spark here. Yes, indeed. A rough stretch offensively. They could really use a basket. Wiggins outside to the paint. Wear. That’s good. Wear’s got six. Making the smart play there. Wiggins passes it off to a guy with a better shot off the pick and roll. Outside Curry looking to get back on track. Stephen Curry. What a shot maker from Brown. And it’s the Heat with the ball. Four-point game. Hero. The pass to Yoic to the inside in transition. and he drops in the layup off the glass. Green’s got his second basket of the game. And now we’ll get a perspective here on how the hustle game has been going for the Warriors. Well, so far they’ve done a great job of reading the offense and repeatedly putting themselves in the right place to interrupt the play and force turnovers. They’re also managing to make lots of trouble for their opponent in transition. Right away, they’re finding points on the break. Nice rebound. Trying to match the other team’s intensity right now. Green with a screen on Hero. Here’s Pajimki. Pass to Jackson Davis. No good with the triple. Heat trail by six. Mitchell. The pass to Hero. There’s the triple. knocks down the long game. 13 points in the game. In terms of scoring, this hasn’t been his quarter. Just one of seven. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. Coach wants to speak to his guys, maybe alter some of the game plan. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And the Warriors make some changes. Jimmy Butler comes in for Jackson Davis and Heield is subbed in for Moody. Adabios checked in for Miami. Pal comes in for Hero. Here’s Curry. Give him eight. To the middle. Good work defensively by Mitchell. Heat trail by three. Wiggins passes to Powell. The great grieve between those two guys. The defense didn’t stand a chance. Ba. These two teammates right here, Grant, they are connected. It’s Pajimky on the wing. Outside heel from behind the ark. The rebound by Wear’s got six rebounds in the game. Powell outside. Now back to Mitchell. Powell outside. Pass to Wiggins. Six to shoot. Goes up from the top of the key. And there are the Heat with another bucket. Yeah, not much else Wiggins can do there but go up with it. And he saved that possession for them. Outside Curry. The three is up. Rebound by the Heat. We’s got seven rebounds in the game. Oh, what a performance offensively. They’re really rolling at that end. Excellent game plan. The Warriors trailing pass to Curry from deep three-point land. The offensive rebound is Pajimki connects from downtown. Pajinski’s got his second bucket of the night. More than just a score. Heel moves the ball well, especially when his guys are open to the paint. Here’s Powell and no good. Trying to use the glass. Well, the Warriors shooting around 44%. Not bad. It’s a close one here in San Francisco. It’s off to Detroit after this game where they will face the Pistons. They’re kicking off a four-ame road trip. Anabio in the post. Oh, and there’s the whistle on the shot. So, two free throws for him coming up at 69. Bam Adabio is on the shorter side of centers yet he is elite defensively. Grant, he’s been top five in defensive player of the year voting a bunch of times. Bam has an incredible motor, a great IQ, and he’s a switchable big. That’s huge in today’s game and he knocks down the first one. A multipletime all-star. What aspect of Adabio’s game, Stan, catches your eye nightly? Well, Brian, I’d say it’s not one thing. He’s a very complete player. He can rebound, defend, pass, score. This guy does it all. And by all accounts, a great teammate as well. That’s exactly right. And both free throws good for Adabio. Yeah, you look at the different ways Ben Adabio can impact the game. He’s a player everyone wants on their team. Gives us a chance to catch up with Alli Leforce. Jimmy Butler is such an all-around player. He said, “I don’t need to be a 40oint scorer. My role is to impact winning. I just control what I can control in the end, play the right way, stay aggressive, and do whatever it takes to get my team the win.” And Brian, he is good at his job. Well, playoff Jimmy is a real thing whether he’ll admit it or not. Now, here’s Heel yet to see a basket. No good on the three. End of quarter management here. They can go two for one. Make the math work in your favor. Heel against Wiggins. Has to wear inside. Oh, look at Wiggins rising inside. They just look so overwhelmed inside. Yeah, that’s why they continue to get attacked. Oh, and he took a hard foul on the shot. So, he’ll head to the line to shoot a pair. It goes on Bamabio. He’s had five opportunities at the line. He’s gone four for five. Jimmy, two shots. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. And he makes a first and he makes both free throws. And Mitchell launches it from deep. No good. Would have counted had it gone. It’s a tie game in the Bay Area. Well, now we have some time to check in with Ally Leforce. Ally, coach, it’s been a hard fought game. A lot of hustle plays. What gets you over the hump in the second half? Well, we just have to keep on grinding. That’s what this kind of game is like. Uh, you know, in many ways it feels like a playoff game, but those plays right there, ball in the air, ball on the floor, we got to we got to make sure we’re dominating those areas uh and then make some plays. We’d love to see playoff intensity there in the second half. Thanks, coach. Thanks, Ally. After the break, we’ll see you right back here to begin quarter number three. The three-point contest only grows in popularity. Hard to pick the favorite here. All these guys are knockown shooters. Certain to be a highlight of All-Star weekend. And now let’s talk Golden State. They’re in an even matchup through one half a play. Even teams that have great shooters have to be selective. They’re hucking it up from beyond the arc, hoping for the best. And it reminds me my free throws. Almost mostly bricks. It’s like they went to the O’Neal three-point shooting academy. Very funny. Thanks for tuning in. Now we head back to Brian Anderson for the start of the third quarter. And we’ve got second half action for you. Thus far, a pretty evenly contested game. It has been one outstanding game from Jimmy Butler. Can they come up with an answer for him coming out of the half? They have to change something defensively. Yeah, I’d love to see what they drew up in the locker room because you’re right, he’s the problem right now. Setting the floor for Miami. They’ve got Tyler Herro. Damio is out there with Andrew Wiggins. Then it’s Norman Powell and it’s where in at the five roaming the paint. Miami shooting at 45% on the game so far from seven. And so he draws the foul headed to the line to shoot a pair. That’s on Jimmy Butler. And growing up in California, Stan, when did you first fall in love with the game of basketball? Well, Brian, my dad coached for a long time, and I just remember going to his practices and going to his games. I can’t remember a time where I didn’t love the game. Free throws good. out of bio. You have to love the style Bam brings with him to the floor. He’s such a spirited player and you can see his teammates enjoy it as well. And that’s good as he hits both shots. The Warriors trailing. Green with a screen on Wiggins. He shoots it and it’s healed. Missing. Probably not the shot they had in mind, but you can’t fault him. He had a clean look. Here’s Powell. Great D that time from Pajimski. And for the Warriors, they’re shooting just under 40% from the field. And it’s Miami with a rebound. Stumbling to start the second half. Three straight misses. Hero. The pass to Adabio. It’s Pal on the wing. And he drew the blocking foul. So he’ll go to the line to shoot a pair. And these will be his second and third shots at the line here. Golden State foul. Draymond Green. Second personal foul. Second team foul. Shooting for Miami for two. And he drops a first. and so Pal nails them both. And here in the second half of play, we’re just over a minute in. They need something good to happen here. Yeah, they’ve gone way too long without a score. Curry splashes it in. Put the first three misses behind them and finally ended their third quarter drought. Pass to Adabio. Pal with it. The three is up and it’s cleared by Stephen Curry. Yeah, you wonder what is he thinking right now. He’s not shooting the ball well and shots like that only hurt his team more. They’ve come out a little cold after that halftime break. Just one of five from the field to start the third quarter. Pass to play it in with a nice touch off the window. Adabio’s got Aiden. Yeah, how about Adabio just discarding the defender and finishing strong. Curry finds heel outside. Pajki outside Curry tipped now. Give him eight. Hero for three. nails it from beyond the ark. 16 points for him. Just incredible. I mean, he’s really making it rain out there, knocking them down one after another. Well, what I love about his three-point shooting is the spacing that he’s adding. It makes things a lot easier for everyone else. Now, here’s Powell. He’s got nine hero. No good. Pass to Curry 43. That won’t go either for Curry. Something’s off about him this quarter. Yeah, and sometimes guys just start pressing. The best thing for him is to just slow it down and concentrate on solid shot selection. Now, here’s Wiggins. His offense has been solid, scoring around 11 and 1/2 points a game in the third quarter with just over three and 1/2 minutes off the clock and the foul called on Draymond Green. That’s his third foul of the game. The three-point shooting has been on point here in the second half. Heat leading by three. Hero with it. 16 points for him. Powell outside and Pal with the stuff. Hero keeping the defense guessing. Golden State has gotten two of four threes to fall here in this third quarter. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. He’s going to talk it over with his guys. How about Tyler Herro displaying all of his skills today. Well, now the question is, how do you scheme this guy? try to take the ball out of his hands, bring a second defender. I’m curious to see what they do. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. When one of these guys gets to the line, you can chalk up the points. Here are your top free throw shooters over the past month. Stephen Curry, number one, second, Tyler Herro. Both of these guys have been locked in at the foul line. There’s been nothing the fans can do to distract them from hitting their shots. Pass to Curry. Puts up a deep three. Rebound Miami. That’s exactly how you have to defend him on the perimeter. Can’t allow any space. gets stolen by Heel and the Warriors pushing it up now. Butler gets all the way to the cup. Yeah, and Butler pretty scary when he gets out in transition. And so Hero will bring it up for the Heat. Three-point lead. Well, when this game is over and done with, they’ll be off to Utah and take on the Jazz. It’ll be game three of six on their current trip. Golden State has gone two for five from three since halftime. And Butler inside. How talented is Butler? I mean, just so adept at carving out some space inside and converting. Hero against Curry. Adabio from long range. Miami. No good that time either. Now here’s Curry. Pounded by Adabio. Back to heel. for the lead. Cole Butler with the confidence from the perimeter. And when it comes to the three, they’ve been really dialed in here in the second half. Curry against Hero. Now here’s Powell. He’s guarded closely. Has to wear. Kicks it to Hero. Just four to shoot. Shot to stop the run. That one goes. Count it. Heroes got 18. Well, this team relies on Hero’s offensive production and tonight he has delivered. And here’s Curry. He’s guarded by Hero. Green with a screen on Hero. Curry from deep three-point land. Autobio grabs the board. And he almost made them regret defending him so loosely. Here’s where Warriors with the rebound. Green’s got his sixth rebound on the night. On the wing, Curry. He’s guarded by Hero. Green with a screen on Autobio. Pass to Green. Launches a three. Pal pulls it in. Kyle’s got four rebounds now. Here’s Adabio. And such a nice move to make that bucket possible. Adabio’s got six in the quarter. Well, that’s a big man with guard skills. Terrific move there from Adabio. And Steve Kerr calls timeout. He wants a few moments to regroup with his players. All right, fans. It is dance time. Get up and get moving cuz I know everyone’s watching. Let’s see. Keep on dancing. Cody’s checked in for Heel and Miami with a change here too. Yovic, he’s checked in four out of Bio. Here’s Curry. 14 points for him. Outside Pajki just five to shoot down low. Rebound Miami. And here’s Wiggins. Give him eight points now. Pass to Yovic. Here’s where green covering back to Hero. And he loves it up top, up high, and down it goes on the lob. That gives him a double double in this one. The great read between those two guys. The defense didn’t stand a chance. PA, these two teammates right here, Grab, they are connected. Two teammates in total sync. Butler getting good position and not taking any chances on the finish. Yoic passes to Hero. Another shot and the layup is up and in. Heroes got seven points here in the quarter and credit his teammates for feeding him all quarter. Boy, they’d love if anyone could get a bucket. Yeah, their offense has been grinding to a halt. And here’s Curry for three. The rebound by Wear. Where’s Wiggins? Looking around out left to the wing. Here’s where Green covering. Wiggins for three. Great D that time from Pajinski. Warriors trail by four outside. Curry hero against Green outside. Here’s Moody on the take. Moody attacking the lane. In the NBA, you just can’t let guys get to the rim for Miami. They’ve gotten seven of 16 shots to go so far in the third quarter. To the middle. Pal. It’s good. Pal’s got 13 and force feeding the ball inside. I mean, no reason to go away from what’s working outside. Green. Pass to Pimsky. Green with a screen on Pal. Takes the three. The shot by Pajimsky. No good. Heat leading by four. Here’s Yoic checking his stats. He’s scoring around nine and a half points per game. Wiggins outside from downtown and Wiggins knocks down the three. Yeah, good job by Wiggins playing at his pace and carving out space for his shot. Outside Curry. Outside for Green for three. Rebound Miami. We’s got 15 rebounds here tonight. Yoic passes to Hero. Now Wiggins. Hoody defends. Now here’s Wiggins. Guarded closely. kicks it to Hero. Here’s Yoic. The Heat need to get one up in a hurry. Pal’s shot is off. Thin margin of error right there. You have to work for a better shot. 11 ft out and he can’t bank that one in. I think he got the shot he wanted inside, but somewhere on the play he just lost focus. Hero against Curry. They set the screen to the paint. It’s stolen by Green Outside. Curry. 40 seconds left in the third quarter. And the Warriors miss again. Miami leading by seven. Wiggins outside has to wear. Wiggins outside. Here’s where and play stops. A whistle there on what looks like an illegal screen. And in the last two possessions, they’ve painted a picture of what not to do. Just way too loose with the basketball. Fantastic ball movement for them tonight, but things are definitely working offensively. A balanced attack is just so much harder to defend to end the cold spell. That shot no good. And so it’s Miami closing out this quarter with a seven-point lead. And their defense has stood out, wreaking havoc for the opposition. And don’t go far. We’ll be right back. And it’s time now to bring you our State Farm assist of the game. This is the definition of team chemistry. I love to see this kind of communication and connection between teammates leading to the perfect pass. Well, it’s one of the core parts of the game, reading the defense and creating an easy bucket for your teammate. That is pretty. With three quarters behind us, let’s see what this fourth period holds in store. We’ve got Trace Jackson Davis. Stephen Curry is out there with Seth Curry. Then it’s Moses Moody. And it’s Santos and a power forward. That’s the Warriors five hero. The pass to Fonteo. Jacks up a three. Gets rebounded by Golden State. Jackson Davis has got his seventh rebound of the game with that last one. Curry against Mitchell. Moody from outside and Feekio pulls it down. I’ll tell you what, they’ve been aggressive and they’ve been physical. And the basket by Heismith. Nice pass by Hero. He is a highly skilled player. Warriors trail by nine. Fourth quarter just getting started. One minute in the books. Mitchell against Curry. Wide open. It’s hauled in by the Heat. Well, he is desperately trying to get something going, but this has not been his night. They need to consider making an adjustment. And man, looking good from the line so far this half. And a moment to check out the scoring breakdown for Miami. Well, they’ve clearly been focused on getting the ball inside. And up to this point, the defense has not had an answer to. Also, they were ultra consistent from outside, hitting a high percentage of those shots tonight. That free throw no good. Good on the second one. And Curry’s got the ball here for Golden State trailing by 10. Pass to Curry. And here’s Jackson Davis. Ooh, coming through again. shooting five for seven now. Coach loves seeing chances from that range. Work that inside area. Hero. The pass to Yoic. Back to Hero to the inside to the left wing from deep. Mitchell. And again, no good by Miami. The Warriors have gotten just one shot to fall out of three attempts in the fourth. Yeah. And the way Curry always finds the open man is impressive. Here’s Mitchell. Hero outside over Curry. Miami. No good that time either. Warriors trail by six. Outside. Curry. got a piece of it. Monteio with a ball now guarded by Curry. Hero against Curry. If you’re just joining us, fourth quarter here. We’re just over two and a half minutes into it. The Warriors have gotten half of their attempts to fall in the fourth. Two for four now. Here’s Santos. He’s guarded by Fonteo inside. Here’s Moody. Oh, serious gut check points from Moody. It’s winning time and that’s a winning play. Mitchell against Curry. Mitchell feeling it out a bit. Four on the clock. Kicks it to Hero. Launches it from deep. It’s rebounded by Golden State. Jackson Davis has got his eighth rebound here tonight and he was fouled while in the act of shooting. So he’ll take two free throws. Foul. First team foul at the line for two. First free throw is good. So both teams changing it up here. And so Curry nails both of them. And so it’s Eric Spolstra with the timeout here. Coach clearly has something he wants to say to his team right now. And the Warriors making a change here. Moody’s checked in. A moment to hear from Ally Leforce. Well, over the break, I listened in on Eric Spolster’s huddle. Coach asked his team, “Can anyone knock down a three?” Reminding them three-point shooting will open up the floor, make things easier in the half court offense. Everyone loves making threes. Missing, not so much, Da. Okay, thanks, Ally. Now, here’s Mitchell. Pass to Highmith. Now, here’s Mitchell. He’s covered by Curry. Here’s Wiggins. And again unable to change momentum here. The Warriors have got three of six shots to go in this fourth quarter. Curry against Mitchell. Right side. Curry to tie it up. Mitchell grabs a miss. He’s trying to find his shot, but at some point you have to start making these. Jackson Davis grabs a miss. Well, sometimes it’s just not your night, but despite his struggles, they’re ahead in the game. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. Miami has gone 0 for three here in the fourth. Mitchell, the pass to Yoic right wing. Outside Mitchell there’s a screen pass to Yoic now Mitchell hero outside fires for three again the heat misses I mean he’s trying to shoot his way out of what’s becoming a prolonged cold screen. Yeah I get it but you don’t want him forcing things. It’s better to get your shots within the flow of the offense. Here’s Hero Wiggins outside. Cast to Mitchell. Just five on the clock. They still need this. And the basket by Heismith. Exchanging buckets from downtown. That’s been a staple of tonight’s game. Yeah, sometimes you get in a shootout like this, but you just hope that you can get a stop first. Now, here’s Pajki. Rebound Miami. Hero’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Yep, that one’s good. Hero’s got nine points here in the second half. Well, everyone views Hero as a shooter, but he is also a terrific finisher. Pass to Curry. There’s a screen from deep three-point lands. Rebounded by Yoic. Yoic’s got his eighth rebound here tonight. Hero. The pass to Yoic. Count the bucket. Coming off a perfectly placed pass. And the Heat lead by six. Now here’s Pachki. Fires from deep. Nails it from three. Easy look when the defender isn’t fighting over the screen. Yeah, it’s certainly worth it to disrupt the offense. Coaches notice that extra. Now here’s Hero. Pass to Yoic from deep. A rebound by Moody. Moody’s got four rebounds in the game up top of Jimsky. Here’s Curry. Here’s the three and Hero grabs the board. Well, it’s been a frustrating night for him at the offensive end. just not able to give them any kind of a lift. Warriors trail by three. Now here’s Moody outside. Pajimsky. There’s a screen and he got the whistle on the way up. So he’ll be headed to the line for a pair. at the line for the Dubs. Pajinski taking two shots. No good on that one. So, it’s both teams making substitutions here. And the second free throw is good. And they need to play good defense here. That trip to the line helped and hurt to the middle. Whoa. Wiggins with feeling is springing off the floor. Wiggins showing his athletic ability. Outside heels up top. Curry. Clock at six. And the Warriors miss again. Got to love how they’ve been crashing the boards, fighting hard for every miss. Woo! Putting on a show for the fans. Going up for the graceful reverse. Oh, that had a little extra sauce on it, Grant. with the teardrop. Rebound Miami’s got rebound number seven tonight. Out of bounds, it’ll go to the Warriors. Warriors trail by six. Boy, they need something to go to regain some confidence. No question. Way too many empty possessions for them. Down low. Here’s Green. Rebound Miami. They’ve led by as much as 10. It’s Pal on the wing. back to Hero. Rebounded by Heel. Golden State has got two of five threes to go here in the fourth. Tries to break his ice. Oh, Curry. What a tough finish. With the game on the line here in the fourth, he’s managed to hit only two of eight shots. Miami leading by four now. Hero pass to just four to shoot. No good on the shot. The Warriors shooting the ball at only 35% here in the fourth quarter. Heield passes to Curry beyond the arc. The rebound by Wear. We’s got rebound number 17 if you can believe that. Pal finds Hero with it. Adabio a screen on heel. Here’s Wiggins. And right on target, Wiggins got four points in the corner. And this team wants Wiggins to be assertive on offense. It was so good to see him looking to score and a deep three from Curry. They get it back over to the wing. Goes back up. Oh, great D that time from Autobio. And here’s Autobio. He’ll bring it up for the Miami Heat. Six-point game where that’s good. He’s really finding his rhythm here. I mean, smart move to keep feeding him the ball. Yeah, when you have a guy playing like he has been recently, he’s got to be the first option on every possession. Here’s Curry. Miami making their last shot. Curry with another miss. Well, it’s just not been his night. He’s finding good looks, but they’re just not falling. Pass to Powell outside takes a three. Jimmy Butler with a rebound. And the Warriors with possession here, trailing by eight. Curry against Hero. Misses from close range. Here’s Powell. It’s tipped. It’s stolen by Curry. Excellent effort on the road. They’ve literally sucked the energy out of this arena. Yeah, and winning games on the road is huge, especially when you get them in such a convincing fashion. He’s been tremendous at corelling misses all night long. No doubt how much those boards impact the overall outcome. You can’t give them extra chances. So, no problem for Miami as they get the win. They have to feel good about this performance. It’s one they can be proud of. Very true. I mean, when you’re out on the road, the winds can feel a little sweeter. This one has to feel extra special. All right, now let’s check in with Ally Leforce. Ally, what do you have? Tyler, we know you are never shy. What gives you that confidence to let it fly when the pressure is on? Uh, I like taking a big shot. Uh, my teammates, my coaches, they all trust me, put me in the right spots, and sometimes I make a couple big shots here and there. Well, you give them a reason to trust as well. Congratulations. Thanks, Ally. Great interview once again. And that’s going to do it tonight, folks, for our broadcast for Grant Hill, Stan Van Gundy, and Ally Leforce. This is Brian Anderson signing off. And as we leave, we present our player of the game.
