ROOKIE RECORD! Nick Kurtz CRUSHES 4 HOMERS in ONE GAME! πŸš€πŸ”₯

in the American League. He has certainly made an impact on the baseball. 38 extra base hits since April 23rd. That’s the day he made his major league debut. Now he goes inside out deep to left. Four. Forget about that baseball. Come on. It’s ridiculous. his 20th of the year. Make that 39 extra base hits for Curts on the air. 01 in the air to deep left. Houston, you do have a problem. His name is the big Amish. [Applause] This kid is incredible. [Applause] 10-2. His second home run of the night. His 21st of the year. And the Astro Faithful are fed up with Curts. And how easy this comes, right? Change up a way that he stays on. And it’s really just a poke of the bat. I mean, that is just a flip of the wrist. [Applause] And again, that looks like it comes off the bat of a right-handed hitter who I was a freshman in high school. That was the last time that you had an A’s rookie with a fiveh hit game. First pitch. Oh my goodness. It’s unbelievable. This kid is on another planet. And for very good reason. We can start with three of them. Here’s the last one. 97 mph fastball. Top shelf. Churned and burned on. Raise a bar and raise a fast ball. The big Amish can do it all. Hammer time. Second deck. [Applause] How about that? first player in A’s history with five hits, five runs, five RBI, and three homers, [Applause] buddy. I might jump out of this booth. [Applause] He’s in a hitter friendly count. I mean, isn’t every count for him hitter friendly? Swinging a drive deep to left. He’s done it four times. What a magical night with a big Amish. Smooth as butter, baby. Shut it up. Incredible. Simply incredible. Oh my god. Oh my god. Is right. Astros fans here at the ballpark behind the dugout are on their feet tipping their cap. first player in athletics history with a four homer game. [Applause] Chris, I have been fortunate enough to watch a lot of baseball, watch a lot of good baseball, seen a lot of incredible things happen. History has been made tonight [Applause] and I don’t think you or I will ever forget tonight. You go ahead and add the humble chapter to the book. Just another Opposite field pump for Nick Curts. My goodness. In the air, left center field on the run. McCormack and he makes the catch. This is something special. Something out of a story book. Six for six, four homers. and six RBI’s, six runs scored. He has more than introduced himself to the world here tonight. Chris Nick Curts tonight has as many home runs as the Houston Astros have total hits. This is a This is a like you said, a night I’m not going to forget. A night that he certainly isn’t going to forget. Four homers, five extra base hits, a July of storybook proportion. I mean, just such a special night for a special individual. I mean, tonight’s the night that he has put the baseball world on notice. You’re looking at the best first baseman in the game right now. I felt that way before tonight’s ball game, and that just reinforces the feeling. [Applause] I mean, Nick Curts, the youngest player in baseball history with a four homer game. Time now for your play of the day presented by your California Ford dealer. There’s one knock, one homer. Two knocks, two homers. We’re not done yet. We’re just getting started. Three knocks, three homers. Well, let’s spray it around a little, huh? All right. Four knocks, four homers, folks. There’s two more hits to come. Six for six, eight RBI, six runs scored. and sit next to first base coach Bobby Crosby right now trying to put words to it and he

  1. The last player to hit a 3 home runs off different pitchers in a game was Barry Bonds. If he were a veteran after the 2nd home run he would have been walked intentionally.

  2. You wouldn't think the Astros were at the top of the division and the A's at the bottom of the division watching this. Those Astro pitches were some exhibition game level stuff.

  3. Thhe nickname is not original. Cal Raleigh. "The Big Dumper." Great spectacle, just get a new nickname instead of "Big Amish."

  4. This is a travesty – HOW IS THIS NOT "FRONT PAGE NEWS" ? – TEAMS GIVING UP WELL BEFORE THE LAST OUT AND THROWING BATTING PRACTICE TO THE OPPOSING TEAM – THIS IS BEYOND SCANDALOUS
THEY DID THE SAME CR@P WITH OHTANI LAST YEAR IN MIAMI – TAINTING HIS "ACCOMPLISHMENTS" IN THAT GAME
    THIS HAS GOT TO STOP

  5. I'm sorry, but why does the picture look like he's throwing batting practice? The kid is a great hitter, but it almost doesn't look like the Astros are trying to get him out

  6. PAINFUL TO WATCH – IN FACT, I TUNED OUT WHILE THE DUDE WAS STILL ROUNDING THE BASES AFTER GOING UP FOR BATTING PRACTICE AGAINST A TEAM THAT HAD QUIT COMPETING AND THESE ARE PROFESSIONALS WHAT AN EMBARRASSMENT !

  7. The whole "Houston, you have a problem" line is the most unimaginative, overused phrase. Apollo 13 was like 30 years ago. Time to find a new line. Nonetheless, love watching young kids have days like this. Hope he and his family remember this the rest of his life!

  8. Can anyone else appreciate that old man Perez is still that good? It shocked me to see old ass Salvador Perez on that list of extra base hit leaders. The guy's been catching professionally for like 15 years now. Catchers are not usually that durable.

  9. 3 of the 4 were the opposite way too. This kid can hit. This wont be the last time you hear about Kurtz. He is about to be a household name amongst baseball fans.
