Amazon Prime Video, which begins its coverage of the NBA in the fall, had some interest in Jefferson at one point.

If ESPN were to replace Burke, Tim Legler is considered the leading candidate. The network could also choose a two-person booth.

  20. Doris and Jefferson both were just awful as a wolves fan, completely glazing LeBron in the first round. The wolves got a game winner and it was crickets on the broadcast, this is a national game, BE EXCITED FOR BASKETBALL. It was so obvious they were upset the Lakers lost and couldn’t manage even cursory professionalism. Then in the next rounds they kept talking about the Lakers even though they weren’t even playing anymore.

  23. Unpopular opinion but I never like “more recent” retired players as commentators on the game. It just feels distracting and chummy. I understand having legends is one thing but RJ especially just feels weird talking about guys he played with idk

  27. She knows a lot of basketball but has decided not to share that with us anyone,. Doris’ trite cliches and pandering to certain stars has made her unlistenable the past few years, time to bring in some new blood.

  29. FINALLY Legler getting some recognition. He’s been ESPN’s best NBA analyst for years, please let this dude in the broadcast booth already.

  35. Doris Burke is a real life Veronica Corningstone lol, worked her ass off doing cat shows for 20 years, so hard that she forgot to get good at her job. 

  36. Legler would be such an upgrade, and I’d even be ok with Doris if she went back to sideline reporting (she actually was elite at that). Jefferson I feel like probably got a couple “notes” from the higher ups because he’s gone downhill in the last year too.

  44. Richard Jefferson is also not good at commentary. Hes really annoying and cringeworthy. He should go back to halftime/pregame. He is much better suited there
