[Anne Rogers] “ After 2 2/3 IP tonight, Kris Bubic said that “physically something’s not right” and mentioned that he’s been dealing with shoulder stiffness for “a good portion of the season.” Command, velo an issue right now. Said he’ll see how he feels in the morning and “go from there.”

  1. I’m guessing this can be traced back to June 11 as he’s been eh since that Yankees start. I’d at least skip his next start but probably IL him right now to be safe.

It sucks but if there’s one thing going for us it’s SP and SP depth, we can get through it.

  2. Shut him down for the rest of the year and start selling. Same for Ragans. No need to sacrifice talent for next year when the window to compete this year is rapidly closing.

  3. If we have rotation (health) issues, we’ve got no effing chance of making the playoffs. With our offense, it’s going to take literally a sub 3.2 ERA from our starters to give us a chance.

If he’s shut down for a few weeks, I’ll reluctantly say “sell” rather than continue to call raises on a hand we have a 5% chance of winning.
