So, this Raptors payroll is fairly expensive. that they’re paying a lot of money to a lot of players that maybe aren’t the greatest players. So, financially speaking, if they wanted to cut back, I think that RJ Barrett makes the most sense as a somewhat tradable asset. He’s still pretty young. Uh he’s actually pretty productive as well. He’s about a 20 point per game score. So, I think him going to the Pistons adds a little bit more offense uh to Kate Cunningham and the rest of this crew and could be a good thing for them moving forward. So, if RJ Barrett wants to take more of like a backseat role to Kate Cunningham in Detroit, this could be a great landing spot for him long term. So, not a terrible idea from the Pistons perspective, but the Raptors would be capitalizing on this because everyone knows RJ Barrett’s available. And if you’re able to get back Jaden Ivy, Isaiah Stewart, and a draft pick, that’s a really good move in my opinion. You get a little bit deeper by acquiring two assets. You’re also getting back a former high-end draft pick in Jaden Ivy who could perhaps benefit from a change of scenery. He’s a really solid player and I think that for the Raptors they could definitely use a little bit more in regards to depth just sort of how this team is built with some injury concerns to players like Scotty Barnes and Brandon Ingram. This could be a great landing spot for Jaden Ivy as well as Aasa Stewart uh for the next upcoming season.
